Kory is sooo awesome when working with these un-handled, abused, or just plain scared 😨 horses. He gives them so much encouragement, praise, time, and best of all....cookies 😉. He's an amazing horse trainer. So good to see Dr. Nancy and Glimmer, who's ears are really looking great 👍. She said from the beginning it was going to be a long process, but they look so much better 😃🐴 I can't even imagine how bad they must have hurt her 😔 but also the poor girl had trouble hearing. Nice job Dr. Nancy. Oh and Happy birthday Tawnee 🎂🎁🥳. Love and Blessings to all at Horse Plus ❤️🙌 Jennifer

This week, I rescued a "Bred" Mare from Texas, hours from the truck to Mexico. She today, landed in California being skin and bones. Rescue is expensive! She's lost so much weight, and I don't believe she's bred but if she was just fat, thank goodness and it got her here. I've donated to HPHS as best I can. It is well deserved.

Thank you for saving her! The only thing I ask is please please please don’t pay the kill lots money, no matter how much you want to save them. This actually makes the problem worse I. The long run because you are funding them to buy more horses. The BEST thing you can do is to buy them from the auction before the kill buyers can get them. The kill buyer doesn’t get money or new stock and you get the horse for cheaper. I’m in Texas and can help you with it if you want!

The Mare did have a Foal, whether still born or they prematurely pulled it from her. She has milk running down her legs and signs of birth. Now I know why she was a "last call" discount. I'll never know what happened to the foal. The Clearing House will just say it died... I'm so angry yet I save one of the tens of thousands.

I want to agree yet I've seen video from Mexico and Canada, which is horrible. I rescued this Mare, my first from a place like this, sight unseen other than the video when she was fat and pregant, and yes the Clearing House lied to me. We need to legally prevent export, it's the only way as I see it. What happens next, we all collectively need to find a solution.

Awwww, y'all are so sweet! Glad your vids made their way into my feed. Always loved horses, even after being bucked off a quarter horse when I was 3. Obviously the adults weren't paying attention to Bella's cues. Even as I got older I stilled loved on her. Now I'm lucky enough to have a psychologist that does equine therapy with her rescues. She's had 2 incredibly grounded and empathetic Belgians that quickly became my favorites. Although every horse she's shown love and support holds a place in my heart. Glad to have met each and every one.❤

I learn so, so much from each of you in every video. People "full up" with vast knowledge in each of your areas of care for the horses. And instead of being selfish with all your info you give it out to help all horses and the people who love them. You are angels, dusty and dirty by the end of the day but, angels just the same. Thank you for the care you give the viewers as well as the horses.

6:30, great timing with the release when she was about to spook as her hoof made contact with the gate. Pressure just as she's about to spook, but release right as she stops and start thinking again. Beautifully done. If I have the chance, I like to do the watch and learn training. Where I use a very happy go lucky, no fear in the world, type of horse, to do something as the other horse is watching, then just let it sink in, before I do it again, and if it still isn't enough, I might have the calm horse walk in front and follow. It's also a great way to tame horses, keep them together with a human loving horse, who will draw them with closer to you, and show them how great human companionship can be. ❤

The one with the shoes that he mentioned you could tell they were shoed by the Amish?.. it broke my heart when I saw those marks..too many to count..poor horse..🇬🇧💞🙏😚👍👏🐎🇺🇸

Happy birthday Tawnee! It was really nice watching Kory's training sessions today. These fearful horses are making progress. I'm glad the black Amish horse with the whip abuse marks had such good feet. I know you guys can heal his body. I hope his soul can be healed with all the love too. At the end, hearing that Candy and Chance are going away... I had an unexpected reaction. I'm shattered. I mean, I knew all along they would eventually be adopted or transferred, but I just hoped we'd get to see more of them. I was so looking forward to seeing Candy learn to trust, and seeing little Chance's progress. I know the rescue they went to will likely send a picture. But it's just not the same. I'm so in love with Candy. I would have adopted her in a heartbeat, if I was still young enough, able enough and had my old farm. I'm going to miss them so much. 💔💙

Cora is a beauty also, is she a particular breed? She looks to have a light sort of bone structure, is it saddlebred in there? I wish that each time Kory starts his talk when he is working these horses, he would say the name, the breed if known and the age. We fans out here like to keep track of things!

What a pretty little Mustang mare. She looks young, I don't know if I read or heard her age, but she looks healthy and worth the time and effort to show her that she can now learn that not all humans are mean or scary. Kory does a great job, and doesn't show any of what frustrations he may have, he keeps good body language, right tone of voice, and all those things are so important in trying to gain trust of a horse that has little human contact and in this case was once running free somewhere with a herd. Just the awful trauma that I see happening to Mustangs when the BLM does those horrific culling roundups, using aircraft to scare the you know what out of these poor animals, 4x4 machines to chase them, running them for far too long must cause not just trauma, but injuries as well. Horse have families, can anyone imagine what trauma goes on when herds are split up, some may eventually get over most of the trauma, but even the awful holding pens devoid of stimulation, just dirt, no trees or grass, with nothing to do but get depressed and some of them are in those awful holding pens for a very long time and the people who are supposed to be taking care of them.....well....I suspect they really aren't quality people, and certainly cannot love horses or they would not want to do that awful job. I bet lots of times they don't get the hay they need, the water troughs probably don't get cleaned and when no one is around to see, I would not put it past some of the people hired to do this job may even abuse some of them for sport. By the time they maybe get to a BLM auction and are lucky enough to get bought by a well meaning person, they are a mess mentally and emotionally and need a whole lot of caring and probably medical and foot care as well. This little mare is gorgeous and I wish her well under Kory's care and devotion and hope to see she gets a forever home with a knowledgeable person/family.

Didn't expect you keeping Candy long after having her colt. She needs work but also time to just be a Mom. The colt will eventually have a play friend that will encourage development and ground work together. You really aren't equipped to accommodate with injury risks and pecking order in pasture. So glad the transfer gives them both another chance and Kory will show where he is in the training with the back story. Well done you!❤

Hey Kory 👋🏽 new here I've only watched a handful of videos so far! Just wanted to say that, I like the way you explain what you're doing and how the horses are reacting to what you're doing... actually what the horses are asking for 🤩 You're teaching me how to look at horses differently, to see their side of what they're going through and thinking about. I always knew they were special, but I am seeing that they are extremely smart! I've seen a few horse trainers here on youtube, don't get me wrong they're good in their own right, but I am learning on a much deeper level from watching you train these beautiful horses, donkeys and such. If I could ask, what do you think about horses wagging their tails? Is there any meaning behind it, like you would in a dog or a cat wagging their tails? Thanks 😎

Min 27: Mind, the mare did NOT jump ON Kory, that was very nice and far better than some Mexican cuate horse did ages ago when I hopped over a ditch, leading her - she tried to land where I landed, probable safest place. Nailed my shoe on the ground with her hoof and jumped over my while I went down due to the sole fixed on the ground. Nothing happened, this mare was a really good girl in fact, and that ditch was the only situation I ever saw her distrusting a situation.

I suspect she has aloepecia (a condition where your body stops producing hair and all that you have falls out). There is no treatment for this, I believe.

@@kaitlynbrown1850 Perfect. Thank you. I'm in Tulare, California and coming into a small inheritance and have always considered creating a rescue farm for unrideable and pet/pasture horses. I'm in the budget stage and am being cautious that I don't start what I can't finish. I think you guys are wonderful.

@@kaitlynbrown1850 it also builds trust between the handler and the horse. I know a trainer who leads his horses through the front porch and has them stand there for a few minutes. All of it is getting the horses used to knowing if they end up in dangerous situations they can trust their handler to get them through. It might not happen, but it's better to get them to that level than have a situation where the horse doesn't trust the handler and the situation is dangerous.
