Constipation, Indigestion, Heartburn? These are very common symptoms for those struggling with gluten sensitivity. Because gluten and grains can contribute to changes in the microbiome as well as gastrointestinal inflammation, many people struggle trying to find an answer. The all too common medical solution is to medicate the symptoms without identifying the causes. Unfortunately this approach can leave a person in an even worse state of health.
In most cases these GI issues can be resolved naturally without drugs. During this weeks Dr. Osborne's Zone, I will break down the best tried and true strategies for getting your gut health back on track. So if you struggle with IBS, constipation, diarrhea, or heartburn, pay attention.
Join us LIVE on Tuesday, January 16th at 6:00 PM Central! You just might find the solution to your problem!

Dr. Osborne thanks so much for this excellent video! 😊 It should be one of the basic lessons in digestion that should be taught in grade school. 😊 I believe, prevention is the cure. If we have the knowledge you've provided in that video, then we wouldn't have all these digestive issues in the first place!

My problem with tv shows is that I don't want to wait a year sometimes for the next season. lol So I tend to lean towards shows that are already out of syndication. Great show as always! I would love a week dedicated to the pancreas if possible. When my amylase (32 U/L) and lipase (25 U/L) were tested they were at the bottom of the lab range (so of course no one has been concerned but me). I am taking digestive enzymes so hopefully that is helpful, but also wondering if I'm taking them while being tested my numbers should reflect a higher number than I have gotten. I also do not have a gallbladder so I'm also taking ox bile to help with digestion.

Hi, do you know if a hiatal hernia/Shatski’s ring can cause Eosinophilic Esophagitis or the other way around? I’ve been to 2 GI doctors thst diagnosed me with chronic gastritis, diverticulosis, hiatal hernia, schatski ring, and Eosinophilic Esophagitis, oh and resistant malignant hypertension. Western Medicine doctors never know the cause, and throw anti-acids at me for years. My condition is worsening and I’m scared. These conditions landed me in the emergency room multiple times with severe hypertension thst it caused me a stroke. I want to heal but western medicine will not heal me, but only will manage the symptoms. I tried digestive enzymes and Zypan but doesn’t bring relief. I even tried Famotidine, Claritin, and Benadryl. If it was you, would you go to a Naturopath or Chiropractor first to heal these conditions? I wasted years seeking help from the wrong kinds of doctors In western medicine.

I recommend looking into (checking out) digestive "bitters", which Dr. Osborne briefly touches on in this video. They can be purchased in liquid tincture form (and non-alcoholic) dropper bottles, and can be taken just a few minutes before any meal you want digestion help with. Here are some of the individual herbs which can taken as digestive bitters: Gentian Root, Burdock, Artichoke Leaf, Ginger Root, Chanca Piedra, Cardamom Fruit, Anise Seed, Orange Peel. Side note: I would avoid anything with Rhubarb or Black pepper, due to Oxalates concern. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find a truly good "digestive bitters" product, IMHO. Hawaii Pharm makes a halfway decent Gentian Root product (non alcohol, 4 fl. oz. dropper bottle) Ginger Root Tincture would probably be good too, if you can find a good product (brand of it). Or else just make some strong ginger tea (organic slices, steeped in hot water for several minutes), but the latter would be more of a hassle. Also, echoing what another Commenter wrote: be sure not to overcook your meat. That can make it much harder to digest. And less healthy, too! Whenever taking digestive bitters, it's best to leave it in your mouth for a while, to stimulate the "bitter receptors" (experience the bitter taste of it, for a short while). Apple cider vinegar is incredibly caustic to me. However, your mileage may vary. Also, I don't think it stimulates the digestive juices nearly as well as the "bitters" do. YMMV. Good luck in finding your answers, to better digestion.
