This was a corridor brawler. It doesn't always need some complicated fancy plot for why things are happening to be good or just plain fun, all you need is an excuse plot and a reason to go brawling through a variety of settings with wacky and unique characters. I do feel like playing River City Ransom again... or Shredder's Revenge... maybe The Simpsons Arcade or Battletoad's N' Double Dragons. You know what, I'm in the mood for Battle Circuit, time to beat everyone up with Pinky the ostrich again!

To be fair, Usagi Pekora is trying to distance herself from that war criminal title. It was a fun joke while it lasted, but when it goes on long enough, it kinda gets stale. Until she does more to prove her war criminal status... It seems like the newer generations have humbled her somewhat. Pekora is still pekora though.

I didn't notice it in the first video, but is that empty spot on the character select row for Gen 5 for Aloe?

Kusogaki-糞餓鬼- is kind of what you'd think it sounds like, the kuso is using the kanji for sh*t, while gaki apparently uses the kanji for hungry ghost. If it has a more esoteric meaning in V tuber land, it wouldn't shock me, Japan has a lot of interesting subculture stuff

Gaki is also used to mean "annoying child" or "brat", predating vtubing (the kind of phrase you would hear thrown at some kids that just did a prank and are running away from an angry adult). In this context the phase is pretty much literally "shitty brat", not too far into the vtuber culture jargon, just adopting a common phrase.

@@AlexG0080 Yeah, gaki also has a youkai association, but most people in Japan would probably still just see it more in the brat sense that is the vernacular, Naka's description almost sounded like Mr. Satan, someone that's competent enough to amass followers, but not to follow through so much

Time to finish up with La+! 4:39 - 8:46 - While I know of the war criminal joke involving Pekora, I'm most familiar with her playing horror games, Dragon Quest XI and Fireworks Mania(The last one was only one stream, I think). Pekora is one of the Holo-members I've had the most fun watching various videos of, so she's definitely a favorite of mine. 28:26 - 28:28 , 28:53 - 28:55 , 28:59 - 29:02 , 32:13 - 32:35 - La+ really loves pulling out Touhou and Undertale tactics. 45:52 - 46:29 - I remember watching videos of her playing Pokemon: Legends Arceus.

You bringing up Pokemon reminds me that I'm wondering what GameFreak will do once they remake Black and White (probably merging it with Black 2 and White 2 somehow). Because I doubt they'd do remakes for X and Y or Sun and Moon unless they're really desperate. Maybe just remasters or such, but not full remakes like for Red/Blue, Gold/Silver, Ruby/Sapphire, and Diamond/Pearl most recently

I had to look up Laplace. I'm a little surprised a Gen 5 remake wasn't announced. Other than that, I haven't thought too much about Pokemon lately, been kind of Pokemon'd out for a bit(I've done all I want in Gen 9). I'm more focused on getting a new DQXI play-through going, especially with the HD-2D remake of DQIII coming out later this year.

@@Nekosage The Laplace thing feels like just one of several other thought experiments, though one would have to know much more about history of science and philosophy to pick them out: Descartes has a deus deceptor, Schrodinger has his titular cat
