Miami has its greats in the NFL. An elite tight end named Jimmy Graham, the best safety possibly ever in Ed Reed, one of the most influential linebackers Ray Lewis, a top 5 wide receiver in Andre Johnson, and a beast who still could be playing this game Sean Taylor RIP. Alabama's good but they ain't got the superstars in the NFL that miami has.

I hate when people say "Keep living in the past" it's like we're the only team that's not allowed to be proud of our past. Had Penn State, LSU, Alabama done what we did they would have built monuments for them, statue's for there accomplishments never to be forgotten. But no we are THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI..no statue's needed, keep hating we love it! []_[]

Hey, you remember that play against OSU in over time that cost us the national title? Well get this, I live and worked in Miami and I deal in a touristy area where I meet a lot of people....well get this ( and I can't confirm this) but one of my customers, actually from Ohio, told me that the ref that called that pass interference call was originally from Ohio. I can not say if it is true or not 100% but a guy vacationing FROM Ohio told me that, I've tried looking it up but to no avail..????

If our O-Line plays even half decent against Ohio State or Pitt we're going to crush them. Give Jacory even a handful of seconds to find our receivers or give our running backs (the whole fucking stable of them) the slightest hole and that ball IS going to move. And dependant on who's toting it..like Lamar Miller or Storm Johnson, big things CAN happen FAST.

Miami went to NC 83,85,86,86,88,89 91,92,94,01,02........... just look at how many times they went to NC......... and they won 5 of them. What Miami achieved during this period, Alabama can never do. Alabama may be able to do it but they havent done it yet. So far, Bama won the NC it 09, 11,12. If Alabama continues this for a decade or so then i would say bama is on par with Miami. but bama run and dominance has been relatively short compared to Miami Dynasty. I dont even look at pre 80s

@knightguy11 They sold out the last game vs FSU. Why wouldn't they sell out the next. Also, being at the Troy game in 2001 does not mean that you know more than the average person about them, I have also been to many of their games. And sitting in the recruit section when you are 15 years old dosen't really have that much major significance either. But thatnk for listing some cool facts about yourself :). And then restating that Miami is known everywhere as a bad fan town.

@bizzyb1999 My point is you are saying that there will be no sell outs in 2011 right....its very sad. FYI: what do facts about myself have to do with everyone in college football knowing Miami is a bad fan town??? I don't see the correlation. I know as much or more about the Hurricanes than the average guy. I was born and raised in Naples and still live there. I'm and ex div 1 college player and I've coached football for 7 years. I know a thing or 2 about college ball. You're welcome.

@bizzyb1999 thats because all of the miami "fans" you know are probably good friends, and/or fans of the same team as you...but at this point miami fans are only about 30% in strength due to the teams struggles lately, of course that will go up ten fold if they ever become more than mediocre, hell they might even sell out a home game for a change

We got tickets in the recruit section for the whole 82' season, so I was 15 yrs old going to Cane games and sitting in the recruit section. Where do I get my facts?? I was at the Miami vs Troy game in 2001....hows that for facts. Miami is known everywhere as a bad fan town.

The stadium is 20 miles off campus, plus the economy is terrible in florida currently..It wasn't always like this

Wow, that is such a strange comment? If anybody had a "short" run in college football it was Miami....nice 20 year run. Alabama won 3 NC's in the 1960's, 3 NC's in the 1970's, that alone is 6 in 20 years. They also won 1 in the 90's, and now 3 more in the last 4 years. Not sure how you get that Miami went to NC games in the past before they even had a NC game? lol. funny....Notre Dame, USC and Oklahoma all have more NC's than Miami. Miami is irrelevant right now and I'm sorry for that.

@knightguy11 I was asking you that, what do listing facts about yourself have to do with you having a good understanding of the ticket sales of Miami, or being a bad fan town? Yes I've lived in Liberty City Miami most of my life, makes no difference. I'm not intersetd in your accolades, at least not here, and please, we don't need the arrogant statements "you're welcome". What it comes down to is that it is all just opinion. I've heard New york or Philidelphia have the worst fans. All opinion.

@blooberflat22 Thats not saying that the U is the best team out there, its simply showing pride, FSU does it, Florida does it, and those are the only two I can really speak for since I live in florida. But yes, No one wants to come out to see a mediocre team 20 miles away, with unusually high ticket prices, when you most likely cant afford the ticket (florida has the highest unemployment rate in the US) play football when there are far better things to do, that may not require as much money.

Miam fans are known as the worst in all of college football....its a reall shame...they deserve better. The next time Miami sells out a home game will be 2013 when they play Florida.
