They also set an ncaa record for outscoring consecutive ranked opponents 124-7.. Btw most of the guys talking in this video are from before the 2001 national championship team

im a ohio state fan but i do have a lot of respect for the u, they probably is the best program in college football in terms of putting talent into the nfl. for instance they had clintin portis, willis mcghee, and frank gore all on the same roster one year. that's 3 pro bowl running backs. the list of players from the u that are now superstar pro bowlers now is just ridiculous, i mean i run out of space naming all the people the u has put into the league

@therototube2 Well...since I played football for UCF and I hold a degree from UCF...I do support the school. They actually have a pretty good history for being such a young program. I loved my time at UCF, great school and great town(Orlando). Happy to see them going into the Big East. Beat Georgia in a bowl game last year. UCF is doing just fine. A little down this year.

How many teams run the table?? Plenty. Notre Dame 1988, Washington 1991, Alabama 1992, Nebraska 94, 95, 97. Tennessee 1998, Florida State 1999, Oklahoma 2000, Texas 2005, Alabama 2009, Auburn 2010. So teams in college football go undefeated all the time....and some play in real conferences...not Independent or Big East. I just love how some guys throw out comments that sound really good, but hold no water.

I have followed the Canes for 30+ years. **So you are very proud of the nickname "The U". It is a great "catch phrase" right up there with "roll tide", "Go Gators", "boomer sooner" etc. Miami has 4 HOF players currently. Lots of other schools have many more than that....do you understand that? Lots of other schools have more NC's also. Thats what you don't get.

And Uncle Luke aka Luther Cambell hooking up players with Nookie and perks for TD's,,Sacks or any playmaker plays was EPIC!!! They get paid today so i don't wanna hear it... I love all my era of U teams(im genX) So VinnY,,,Erickson,,Gino but QB's was never our thang... WR's,,,TE's,,RB's & Defense Fo Sho!!!! That year McGahee got hurt was the best RB single season of dominance ive EVER SEEN!!! He went god mode... Some Say RON DAYNE did it @ Wisonsin couple years After Ricky Williams did it and broke ALL of Rickys single season records. whatevs i don't care.. Those dudes are more Edgerin James type awesome...Not That McGahee year.. He was soo full of energy like the was Laurinatis was like that Rooki CLAY MATHEWS.. If you remembe rthey were just amped up every play... That McGahee leg break hurt me badly... Then it happened again when Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown broke his leg in his amazing season where he was on fire & full of super energy. Im Not even a Dolphins fan but a Bills fan...I just respectfully HATE my rivals..And Ronnie Brown was special..i know this is THe U an dnot Dolphins... Man, I'm with you...I know Al Golden from Temple, & he did a great job there, but the U is a whole different ball game. I think college football is better served when miami is good...But man, it's so sad, Miami hasn't been good or even relevant in 10 years! That is really shocking how far it has fallen and how fast...they still have talent but just can't put it all together...how bad they are this season is really sad...just getting blown out like they shouldn't!

It is part of Football ! ALABAMA did NOTHING for a DECADE ( 10 yeard ) in the 1980's, then AGAIN NOTHING from 1993 to 2009 ( 16 years ) until Nick Saban arrived. It takes a GREAT COACH, GREAT RECRUITING & GREAT PATIENCE to RE-BUILD a Program. Miami did it again from 1999-2004 Going to 3 Straight National Championship Games in 2000,2001 & 2002. 2001 is considered by MOST College Football Coaches & Historians as THE GREATEST TEAM in NCAA HISTORY !! UNDEFEATED. 17- 1st Round Draft Picks and 38 Draft Picks into the NFL from that 2001 Team. Let me say that again....17 FIRST ROUND Draft Picks. MOST in COLLEGE Football History !!!! The CANES will be back. The BRAND is too strong. Even when they have OFF years they STILL play the BEST Competition ! This year Texas A & M, Clemson, Florida State. 2004 & 2005 Florida & Notre Dame. The CANES can go back to being an INDEPENDENT Program and STILL be on National Television EVERY Saturday !!! FACT. Not many Programs can say that. Look at the schedule, it's pretty tough.FSU, NC State, UNC, VT at "home field" Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Virginia on the road and as for Out Of Conference play they have AT Kansas State, Notre Dame at Soldier Field (Chicago) in October, South Florida at home and Bethune Cookman at home. Bethune Cookman and Duke are the only gimme wins I see there.

@therototube2 Well...since I played football for UCF and I hold a degree from UCF...I do support the school. They actually have a pretty good history for being such a young program. I loved my time at UCF, great school and great town(Orlando). Happy to see them going into the Big East. Beat Georgia in a bowl game last year. UCF is doing just fine. A little down this year.

Why's everyone always talking about the 80's? The 2001 'Canes squad was the best team in college football history, pretty much a playoff contending NFL team with all the talent they had all around.

How many teams run the table?? Plenty. Notre Dame 1988, Washington 1991, Alabama 1992, Nebraska 94, 95, 97. Tennessee 1998, Florida State 1999, Oklahoma 2000, Texas 2005, Alabama 2009, Auburn 2010. So teams in college football go undefeated all the time....and some play in real conferences...not Independent or Big East. I just love how some guys throw out comments that sound really good, but hold no water.

@JB32190: They started filming this during the playoffs of 2009 I believe so teams like the Saints and were out but the Ravens were still in it so they probably couldn't do the interview.

I have followed the Canes for 30+ years. **So you are very proud of the nickname "The U". It is a great "catch phrase" right up there with "roll tide", "Go Gators", "boomer sooner" etc. Miami has 4 HOF players currently. Lots of other schools have many more than that....do you understand that? Lots of other schools have more NC's also. Thats what you don't get.

And Uncle Luke aka Luther Cambell hooking up players with Nookie and perks for TD's,,Sacks or any playmaker plays was EPIC!!! They get paid today so i don't wanna hear it... I love all my era of U teams(im genX) So VinnY,,,Erickson,,Gino but QB's was never our thang... WR's,,,TE's,,RB's & Defense Fo Sho!!!! That year McGahee got hurt was the best RB single season of dominance ive EVER SEEN!!! He went god mode... Some Say RON DAYNE did it @ Wisonsin couple years After Ricky Williams did it and broke ALL of Rickys single season records. whatevs i don't care.. Those dudes are more Edgerin James type awesome...Not That McGahee year.. He was soo full of energy like the was Laurinatis was like that Rooki CLAY MATHEWS.. If you remembe rthey were just amped up every play... That McGahee leg break hurt me badly... Then it happened again when Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown broke his leg in his amazing season where he was on fire & full of super energy. Im Not even a Dolphins fan but a Bills fan...I just respectfully HATE my rivals..And Ronnie Brown was special..i know this is THe U an dnot Dolphins... I think most GenX fans witnessed the greatest U teams in 80's-2000's GregOlsen era. All those U teams were like NFL ALLSTAR ROSTERS LOL

i found it a little weird how the documentary never mentioned probably the most well known cane of them all, ray lewis. awesome movie though.
Man, I'm with you...I know Al Golden from Temple, & he did a great job there, but the U is a whole different ball game. I think college football is better served when miami is good...But man, it's so sad, Miami hasn't been good or even relevant in 10 years! That is really shocking how far it has fallen and how fast...they still have talent but just can't put it all together...how bad they are this season is really sad...just getting blown out like they shouldn't!

It is part of Football ! ALABAMA did NOTHING for a DECADE ( 10 yeard ) in the 1980's, then AGAIN NOTHING from 1993 to 2009 ( 16 years ) until Nick Saban arrived. It takes a GREAT COACH, GREAT RECRUITING & GREAT PATIENCE to RE-BUILD a Program. Miami did it again from 1999-2004 Going to 3 Straight National Championship Games in 2000,2001 & 2002. 2001 is considered by MOST College Football Coaches & Historians as THE GREATEST TEAM in NCAA HISTORY !! UNDEFEATED. 17- 1st Round Draft Picks and 38 Draft Picks into the NFL from that 2001 Team. Let me say that again....17 FIRST ROUND Draft Picks. MOST in COLLEGE Football History !!!! The CANES will be back. The BRAND is too strong. Even when they have OFF years they STILL play the BEST Competition ! This year Texas A & M, Clemson, Florida State. 2004 & 2005 Florida & Notre Dame. The CANES can go back to being an INDEPENDENT Program and STILL be on National Television EVERY Saturday !!! FACT. Not many Programs can say that. They are RELEVANT to College Football even in Defeat. You EITHER LOVE or HATE the Miami Hurricanes. There is NO IN BETWEEN !!!

@Dem0nz890 Miami could be looking anywhere from a 4 to 7 win season in 2012. Look at the schedule, it's pretty tough.FSU, NC State, UNC, VT at "home field" Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Virginia on the road and as for Out Of Conference play they have AT Kansas State, Notre Dame at Soldier Field (Chicago) in October, South Florida at home and Bethune Cookman at home. Bethune Cookman and Duke are the only gimme wins I see there.
