Lol my family thinks i am bipolar for criticising and also appreciating bjp for their policies. Criticising for obvious reasons such as electoral bonds, demo, terrorism in the name of hindutva etc. Appreciating them for metros and other infrastructure projects, gst to some extent and them not being incompetent (this is both good and bad).

You are one of the best comedians in the world. Seriously you understand the importance of putting out real information along with your comedy and I can't not appreciate that.

How the Temple in Puri still standing? Now as per Devdutt ji's own disclosure because people found ways and protected themselves. The ways and method changes as per time and social realty . As per him , Building a massive temple was the method adopted to keep invaders away in 12th century, so erecting the temple was more a political decision right ? Similarly Hindutva is one of that way conceived based on 21st century requirement to protect Hindu culture and its geography after partition of India on religious lines. What the then Odiya king did is the same, basically in different form as suitable in 12th century to protect Orissa from Islamic invasion and Oriya people succeeded actually. Cultural and demographic change is real modern times , get up !

I was in Ganpatyar temple in Srinagar kashmir. The pujari was sick so he sent his 15 year old daughter to open the gate of the temple. We were doing pooja and it took time. Suddenly the sick pujari came and was yelling at his daughter for taking more than an hour. We intervened a d calmed him down . He said he is always afraid for her that if she gets abducted and converted.

Agreed but that doesn't mean that he isn't a credible voice. Look at his amazing erudition. And he is fighting for an extremely brave cause. Also, there are several 'historians' who don't necessarily have PhDs in History. One of India's finest historians is Dr. Ramachandra Guha and he doesn't have a degree in history. John Keay from the UK also doesn't have a degree in history. As a student of history, I can tell you with conviction that you don't need a history degree to properly conceptualize the past and analyze it.
