Thanks for the effort in putting these videos together. We’re running two 12i’s now and they are so sweet. I’m very comfortable running them but I always learn a thing or two from a video like this.

Thanks for the video. I'm doing a head to head with Sokkia, Leica, and Spectra. Wish I would have recorded. Wish there were more videos like this with head to head manufactures.

if you stake out with same initialization it should be fairly close shouldn't you re initialize?

Would you say the r12 works significantly better under canopy?

Sir while using R12 is there any BASE Station required for correction?

Yes, an RTK system like the R12 will always require a base station, real-time network (VRS), or RTX in order to receive real-time corrections.

Yes, but you need to be on Trimble Access 2017.24 for software compatibility reasons.

This was an R8s model 1 equipped with the Rover/Network Rover mode configuration.

R8s with all options enabled

R12 is basically SP60 inside R10 shell.

They may perform similar in certain areas, but these are different. SP60 uses Blade, and Trimble uses Propoint.

You can give it any name. 30% better than R10 is SP60. I tested both receivers side by side with same correction source and SP60 has 30% less dropout in tough conditions. IMU might speedup things in R12i. I wonder if R12i has applanix IMU.

@@Chau-Y I ran the R12 for two months before our R12i’s got here. The 12i’s are noticeably faster and more accurate. They easily compete with the precision of our R6 and R7 total stations.
