Great information for those who don't totally understand global positioning systems, different codes received and especially the different types of receivers out there...Not changing your location on the first two swaps allowed for faster initializations and acquiring Survey Grade. I wish Trimble had the "Smart Fix" algorithm in ACCESS like SURV PC does for the Carlson BRX receiver. BeiDou (Chinese constellation) means "Big Dipper" in Chinese and is Pronounced "by-dough." Tip if you connect to VRS/RTN networks that are Trimble based and select the RTX 3.1 connection to the mountpoints they broadcast full GNSS constellation data to include GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BeiDou.

Have an r12 base with an r12i rover and it's really the best set-up ive ever used. Absolutely love it. Just introduced to trimble equipment a few months ago. I love it. I used leica for years and was skeptical of trimble at first but i really do love the equipment. And i learned alooot from your video's!! Thanks, brother. If you're ever in Virginia id love to grab a beer with ya!

@@SurveyingWithRobert that's awesome man. My company got an office out of Dallas Texas but nothing in Arkansas or Mississippi. Seems like a cool place to survey.

I know comparing hurts, but some people need to make tough decisions. Thanks for demoing the those receivers.

Thank you very much Robert! I wonder how the R10/R12 compares to the Emlid RS2+ given that it can pick up the L5 band.

Hi Robert, Like your videos. I wonder if you can make one to stake out fixed offset point to the poly line to the nearest. For example laying out building minimum 30m away from lake edge. Offset command do not work in this case. If we draw a radius from a staked out point it should not touch polyline anywhere. I am using TA 2021 on TSC5. Sorry this question is not related to this video.

That makes sense since the units are a Match.. I think one can figure out the rest.. L5 is the matching #👍🏼

Are you talking about the R10 version 1 or version 2? Version 2 has the same internal hardware as the R12 but just different firmware.

Guys guys, why you need base station for rover in USA? Here in Europe we got base stations in every bigger city, 30-50km (18-31 miles) from each other (its free of charge, RTK) and i never heard such a thing that some surveyors in my area are using their own base :)

Well if the US and many other countries shrink to size of European countries then they can benefit of free bse stations. Unfortunatelly they are slightly bigger.
