It is very down to earth - don't get me wrong - but there are so many hints that you explain. Thank you. And your question: Yes, a good tv-trailer takes not more than three minutes. Well done. All your work is great from the informational standpoint. However, I think this more extemporaneous presentation is more attractive, puts you in a better light, and will encourage viewership, which you deserve. Oh, and btw, this setup is pretty much what I'm running right now, but with your suggestions (primarily the tpu mount) it's gonna be better.

    Perfect timing. I have the VRX and camera, just waiting for my VTX. I've already printed a replacement fan cover for the goggles but wasn't really sold on the idea of replacing the existing cover. I love the idea of that print. I'll be printing that today. I'm glad the Sky04X and Sharkbyte work so well together. And no, the foam pads are not a silly idea. I paid a lot for those goggle here in New Zealand, I want them to stay looking good for as long as I can.

    I don’t have an exact voltage for you but it should be able to go a bit below 7V. Note that I’m talking about using direct power from the Fatshark 2s pack-if you’re using the splitter cable with the regulator, you can’t go that low because the regulator introduces so r voltage drop. With that Fatshark battery case, I have flown it down to 1 “bar” on the voltage indicator with no issues.

  • @ATXAirborne

    @ATXAirborne

    I’ve started using a 4S 1300mah battery in my pocket with the Y splitter to power the goggles and VRX. The new HDZero vrx pulls a lot of power, so this gives me reasonable flight time and keeps weight off my head. If you’re using the older Sharkbyte VRX, you could do what I did in the video and power it from the 18650 case. That has the advantage of being a more compact setup with no hanging wires, but you’ll be swapping batteries more often.

    I have the Skyzones, how does the HD Zero work for long range?

  • @ATXAirborne

    @ATXAirborne

    Жыл бұрын

    In terms of unobstructed range, you have more maximum potential than DJI, by a lot, and at least equal with 5.8ghz analog. Wezley Varty tested it out to 30km and could have gone farther. If you’re talking about range in an urban environment with obstacles, expect similar performance to analog per mW. DJI will do better in these environments due to its ability to retransmit lost packets.

    Hi, using hdmi 4/3, the image of old sharbyte cameras in 16/9 how is it cropped? And if you have it, with the new hdzero micro cam in 4/3, the image completely fills the screen?

  • @ATXAirborne

    @ATXAirborne

    2 жыл бұрын

    On the goggles, you can select either 4:3 or 16:9 for the display aspect ratio. If you select 4:3 and use the new Micro HDZero V2 camera with the camera in 4:3 mode, it fills the entire display. If you select 16:9 mode on the goggles and use any HDZero camera in 16:9 mode, the top and bottom of the goggle display is cropped (just black) and you see the 16:9 image normally. If you have the goggles in 4:3 display mode with a HDZero camera in 16:9 mode, it stretches/distorts the image vertically (which is probably not desired, so you'd want to put the goggles in 16:9 mode). I hope that helps but let me know if I need to clarify any of that. There are a lot of different combinations of settings :)

  • @ATXAirborne

    @ATXAirborne

    2 жыл бұрын

    The range really depends on what VTX you are using and what antenna you have on it. With these stubby antennas you definitely won't get great range behind where you are standing. When you're out in front (looking toward your drone) the patch antennas are most of the signal, so the signal is pretty good. It's really hard to give an exact number because it depends so much on the environment, but I will say that mW-for-mW, HDZero seems close to analog, although it will reach complete failure a little bit before analog will.

    Hi, I just got my skyzone 04x. Using the hdzero micro 2 cam, with 4: 3 image, in the skyzones I see the image in full screen, compared to my hdo2s which instead crop it. The image quality in the skyzones, however, seems inferior to me. This might seem obvious given that the image is enlarged, but in reality it is worse than how you see it on the pc (therefore even bigger) from the recording of the dvr. Maybe I'm the one making the wrong settings. Could you share your cam settings, hdzero receiver and goggles for optimal viewing?
