@ 0:21 I've been thinking this for about 2 weeks. Thank you for the confirmation.
@4:58 "That's right, it's the square hole!"
This is true. However I have EV300O (similar to Sky04X, but slightly less FoV and resolution) and my son has Skyzone 04L goggles. I massively prefer HDZero Goggles for analog. With both of the older goggles I suffered with being unable to see the corners of the screen. With the HDZero goggles this is not an issue with 4:3, so it's a far better experience for me. High FoV is not good if the optics don't allow you to see the corners. Interestingly I still suffer with not being able to see the corners well with the 16:9 display on the HDZero goggles, so I use 4:3 even when running HDZero.

Yea my 04x I can't see the bottom corners well. I wear goggle low on my nose very uncomfortable to see it. Like goggles sit at a downward angle

This is what I didn't like about the 04x. Also I had a problem and their support was basically non-existent. I ended up returning them and now have the HDZero goggles, which I like much more.
Someone needs to do a control radio and goggle rental service so we can try stuff before we buy. $30-40 for a 2 week rental / $50 if you rent both at same time.

Support your local hobby/enthusiasts stores. You very likely will be talking to people who also enjoy your hobby, in this case RC drones, and you'll be surprised what a kind conversion can lead to; testing/fitting gear in store (open all kinds of boxes to hold things, great for radios) all the way to extended return periods, which is basically a rental.

@@_Dav1K My only hobby shop for 200 miles won’t open boxes and exchanges (no returns) on RC gear is only allowed if defective and presented within 7 days.
I was seeking an answer to this and you made a video just about it! I have Sky04x and wanted to make some switch... I actually thought that it is possible to attach HDZero on Sky04x analog and fly analog like that, but now I think I will keep it just as Sky04x. Thanks.
Thumbnail 👍🏽💅 again 😂
Have actually been wondering if I'd prefer a little less FOV than the Sky04X provide. Feels like if I don't have the goggles in just the right spot on my face, the corners will get knocked off. It actually happens quite frequently when adding a digital module to the front of them due to the added weight causing sag. Causes the bottom corners to get cut off unless I really tighten the strap.
Yeah, makes sense.
I also had the problem with over exposure on Analoge my foxeer pico razor and caddx ant lite Cameras were both overexposed I sent them a picture they just said to update the firmware, did not make any difference. it’s not flyable So I’m gonna stick to my hdo for now.
What about the improved DVR with deinterlacing? Price & Size are the only real difference…

Great points
SkyO4X has quadversity too
If the Sky04X comes with the new updated Steadyview X support, it's definitely a good value. Image reconstruction seems to be on par with Rapidfire and Fusion, even on more exotic cameras (I had the rolling image before on two of my quads but the module update fixed that).
i hate big fov, i have to be able to observe the whole picture without moving my eyes. so whats best for that scenario?

Here's not only a good demonstration tool, but the list is also pretty complete. So, some FS Attitude, some Dominators, HDO, and both generations of Orqa are among the smaller FOV options.

For example, in Sky04x there is an option to switch Display to be SmallFOV 4:3, that's I think 80% zoomed screen of what it is by default 4:3. That's what you might need, and the image quality is a bit better of course.

I know this comment is a year old, but check out the SKY04O Pro. Same resolution as the 04X Pro but with a smaller FOV. And a much reduced price (360ish USD)
Sky zone also has Elrs backpack compatibility
@Yith
Жыл бұрын
Not allowing use with the Headtracker... HDZero can do wireless headtracking with the ELRS backpack... and other things may also be possible in future
Orqas I just got are gas. And the screen is still too big, ppl complaining cuz its different but if they weren't on sale I now know the 33 degree is prolly better. If you know you want to focus and for some reason got an avata first like my girl did for me, you can change the screen size and I don't mind as small as possible on that 03. Personally.

So smooth those emax transporter 2 seem like they got permablur now so much more movement is visible I'm mad I built 2 drones before upgrading goggles but aye. Hdzero gon kill my aaa
i still like my hdo's haha
what is hdo 2.1
Why are they both the same price. You'd think hdzero would be more.
Thanks. I want to say “sky04x Pro“ have the same problems as it has 16:9 resolution.
1. HDZero Goggles are bulkier even without added analog module. 2. HDZero Goggles are way slower to boot up.
When ypu want the best of the best you will need a 4:3 and a 16:9 google. Or just sell all your analog vtx. No problem when you don t fly tiny whoops...
👍
Damn JB deleted his post. Fear. The. Cancel. Seriously though, the HDZeros are actually having an issue with over exposure on my runcam nano 3. Posted about the issue on Facebook and it seems to be somewhat common. There was an update but I'm not sure it's 100% fixed yet or if it will ever be.

I emailed them about the over exposure as well 2 cameras foxeer pico razor caddx ant light both are over exposed no help
One thing though: This assumes you fly your analog in 4:3 (which, yes, most people do). If you happen to like flying in 16:9 mode, then the HDZero goggles will have a much bigger FOV.
