You definitely don't look like you're in your 70's. I thought you were 61! I think your youthfulness is because of your diet, minimal product use, and good amount of sleep and you probably handle stress very well! I really love watching your videos! I watch them every night. It's a part of my nightly routine for me, haha! 😊

Prell?! Oh my gosh you're taking me back Phyllis. I can still remember watching those commercials on TV with the pearl slowly floating to the bottom of the bottle. And I was rolling on the floor practically listening to you talk about not wearing make up and especially nail polish. My daughters do not understand what I mean when I say I cannot wear nail polish on my fingers because I can feel it on there - I am glad I am not alone!

Hi Phyllis, I am almost 50 and I agree about the makeup. The longer you go without it the less you want to wear it. I have become a stay at home wife. I babysit and sell on Ebay and so far the Lord is providing for us nicely. My husband works in automotive and he and I love that I can be home at home. I love your recipes and tips! Miss Phyllis, I have your identical hair. Fine and no curl will stay. I use my conditioner in a way you might be interested in. I take a small amount, after I get out of the shower, about a nickel to a quarter size....rub it in my hands and rub it through my hands, just like you do in the shower. I leave it in, then comb. It makes my hair shiny and easy to deal with. Hugs, PS People love how natural and healthy and real you are. Not one fake thing about you. Hugs, Judy

HI like your videos I am Pam Jennings from monroe,la.I met you yesterday.I retired from a disability of genetic bone disease,2 years ago and am very limited on what I am able to do,My whole life changed drasticly when I injured myself at work.I was self employed sense 18,owned resturants, and 2 night clubs in south Louisiana.I opened a pet shop whrn my oldest daughter was born.I always wanted to be a vet.but my parents divorced when i was 12,therefore i dropped out of xchool in 11 grade and self taught myself dog grooming by showing my aunts mini poodles, and my poms. I lucked out and had a successful poodle breeder that showed me the basics,I picked it up loved it and was self employed 42 years grooming, trained my ex husband and both my daughters how,but 5 years ago I fell carring a fat cocker and messed up 3 disk in my back.i went from cowgirl gogetter to old lady candyass that has to depend on meds to get out of bed,but to get to what i really wanted to share,Being in dog hair business for so long plus 18 of those years i sub contracted out of the state vet clinic.I learned alot about hair,My husband loves long hair.and I have stated greying to it gives a silkier texture not mentioning static electricity. My hair is thick and almost to my rear.Try while washing it use coconut oil like you cook with better than olive oil heathwise my husband takes a teaspoon a day any way use it for you face elbows, feet and while in your hair take a wide tooth comb and comb it through your hair if tou get a snag through some water and comb threw.NO MORE TANGLES OR STATIC ELECTRICITY!!

Aqua net hair spray.does anyone remember a product called Sun something. It was a spray and it would lighten your hair. I used it back then, and it would turn my hair orange!! How bout baby oil for sun tanning. Noxzema, Ponds cold cream, Clearasil for zits. Certs. Dentyne, Spray can deodorant,Mr. Bubbles,Leggs panty hose Okay, that's enough. :)

Ms. Phyllis when I do my smoothies in the morning, I take the banana peels or cucumber peels and rub them on my face. I'm 63 and always told how beautiful my skin is. In fact a fella at the gym slipped me his phone number and I was so shocked and embarrassed I didn't know what to way. He is 44. Of course I never called the number but I thought to myself those veggie Peels might be working too good. But just think how pristine the Peels keep the inside of a banana.

Wow! I thought you were muh younger, eating healthy, exercising, & good sleep really does pay off. You look'n good! Mrs. Phyllis I can probably count on one hand how many times I've worn fingernail polish. I say the exact same thing about why I don't wear it. It does feel heavy, it feels like you got something on your nails you need to get off. Yeah I've never gotten used to wearing fingernail polish. Growing up one of my dad's mom would polish my nails, the other grandmother would remove it (she was legally blind) because she thought I was too young to wear nail polish at the time. This was about 30+ years ago.

Hi Phylis, I'm a new subscriber and have been watching some of your kitchen videos when I came across this one. Great videos I'm enjoying very much. Yesterday I made your orange rolls, cinnamon rolls and crescents recipe and they were delicious. I put them all into the freezer and my husband has been looking to find them. You are gorgeous! I'm a natural gal too, I'm very lucky to have had a husband who told me he preferred me without makeup and that was 43 years ago when we were teenagers! I call it painting the face. . . men aren't compelled to paint their faces or walk around on high heels - very uncomfortable stuff. And I agree, nail polish and makeup feel heavy on my nails and skin. My mother always told me that "beauty is as beauty does" and you are a wonderful example of that.

I just discovered your videos and I am so inspired! You are a beautiful person and your voice is very soothing :) I am 39 and have been living with a "terminal" cancer diagnosis for 7 years. My way to combat the cancer is to live as healthy a lifestyle as I possibly can and I am learning so much from your videos. My tip to you, that I use, when your hair is still wet at night. Instead of having to stay up late, I put a towel over my pillow so the hair dries fast while I sleep and my pillow doesn't get wet. Take Care :)

On saying that, I do wear a bit of lippy and I do add a bit of blush to my pale skin. Just so I don't look too 'day glow white' 😂 My hubby says I glow in the dark. Cheek! I prefer the term, English Rose... Hehe. Anyway, if I look as happy and content as you do, when I'm 70, I'll be very content. X

Hello Miss Phyllis from Australia, One thing you might like to try is to start combing / brushing your hair from the bottom to the top (combing with a wide tooth comb is better) rather than from the crown of your head down. Start with sectioning it into say two bunches, one either side of your head (just gently do a finger part down the back of your head, it doesn't have to be even. Unsnarling and pulling apart any knots gently with your fingers. With one bunch grab it in your fist and slide your hand down it stopping about an in inch or so from the end. Comb out this bottom inch or so, and then move your fist up and do the next inch or so above that, and so on till you get to the top. Then do the other bunch the same way. Untangle any knots / snarls gently with your fingers. The tangles will come out much easier combing from bottom to top, and you won't break as much hair leaving the little fly away bits. Also brushing it thoroughly before you wash it, while it's dry helps a lot too. I have shown horses, and this is how we are taught to comb out their tails and manes because it takes a long time for their hair to grow so you don't want to break it. This is also why a lot of girls who ride horses have long hair. My hair is very fine and long and I wash and condition it exactly as you do :) I hope I made sense lol Take care bye :)

You have a beautiful complexion and no wrinkles that I can see and I love the color of your hair and my Grandmas's hair was a white like yours she would take the hair stuff from the store that was blue and she kept it at the solon and when she went 1 x a week and get it done and get it to get in an up due and she always got compliments and that stuff she used that was blue kept her hair from turning yellow so I will probably use it to and I am going into my 60s and I don't wear makeup unless I'm going out somewhere. And I used to wear it every day but as I get older I do it less my sister went to school to be a model so she taught me how to do it. And I was told when my Mother let me use makeup I had to go to her friend down the road and she sold Mary Kay so she showed me how to put it on and then my Mom bought me a huge box of anything you would need and back then they were selling it you had to use water and mix it up. Now I use the skincare system I had BAD breakouts as a preteen and even now I get a breakout every once in a while. You look awesome!!!!!

I'm an "all natural gal" too! I can feel makeup and polish too! So we have a lot in common! I don't like the feel of that stuff! I've always had long hair and all my friends say I'm too old to wear long hair! Well, I'm letting my hair grow out again! It's my hair! I dont' use products on my hair or face either. I'm so glad I found your videos!

I think you look great and I like to hear that other folks are doing things simply and frugally. I use coconut oil to exfoliate and I use diatomaceous earth and baking soda and coconut oil for toothpaste. Rarely use any makeup. I have to use Burt’s Bees or goat milk soap. Very little goes a long way. I use the natural stuff because I have allergic reaction to many chemicals. I milk my own goats for their natural immunity so I don’t have to take probiotics and can have their milk for soap and drinking and cooking. I have Crohn’s disease and this works very well and the medicine was too toxic.

We used Prell, long ago, Because it was the only shampoo to be sold In a safe Plastic Tube. All others, was sold In a Glass Bottle . Mom also rinsed out hair with Apple Cider VINEGAR,.. & sometimes just staight squeezed Lemon Juice ! _ & leaving it in, not rinsing !🙂___ .. in the 1960s, to roll our hair, & sleep in the Hair Rollers, we applied plain BEER onto out hair, Leaving it in, it acted as a great SETTING product, & had ... no smell, once dried ! ❤🕊 P.S., Does anyone remember using Dippi-De-Doo, or Rolling their hair up using "Spoolies" ? 😲🤔🙂

My Godmother have me a jar of dippidy doo. That pink jar sat virtually untouched for years, in the medicine cabinet. I'm not sure what we thought it was up until then. Wasn't until much later that we figured out it was just hair gel. 😂 We rarely used it because we didn't know how ( I think we would put tooooooo much in it always weighed our hair down). 😂😂😂 It was me and my sister, you'd think between the two of us, we would realize, but nope. Thanks for the memories.

I think you look great! I've got the same kind of hair, fine and straight. My great aunt had the prettiest hair - natural silver - that she plaited and wore in a bun. She didn't go gray young. I remember her hair being mostly black with silver strands when she was well into her 60s. I didn't get the dark hair, but I just started getting silver strands at 50. I don't think I'll cover it up with dye. I'm hoping that silver will look as lovely on me as it did on my great aunt and on you. :)

Hi Phyllis, Love your simple routine. I'm working on simplifying mine, I'm a primper and love cosmetics, but I am really working on on only using the things I absolutely love. I protect my skin here in Florida and we do go to the beach quite often. I totally agree with the "big three" you mentioned. I think good genes do make a difference in health and skin too. I haven't taken the gray plunge yet but love yours, thanks for the fun vid.

My Mother, used Ponds Cold Cream daily, til she was 93. She always removed make up before bedtime. Mamaw did the same, & they had beautiful complexions. We used Luster Cream Shampoo, until Prell was the 1st to come out in a pkastic bottle, not glass. Mother also did the same vinegar rinse on us, growing up in the 50's. Dad had a Rexall Drug Store,& o loved helping myself to The cosmetics. He sold "Evening in Paris"& "My Sin'" perfumes. Do you remember them ?
