The women of Miss Phyllis's era are a rare breed. As I watched her cook, she reminded me of my childhood watching my mother and great aunts. I would sit there and giggle just watching her videos....I commented about her Tupperware sugar container, I knew she had gotten those back in the 70's cause my Mama had the same set. God bless you and your family and thank you for sharing her with us. She had such a soothing sweet manner about her.

Great stories about the "Dill Balls" and Mr Bucky's upside down fishing adventures! They both must have been great people to be around as a child. Of course Phyllis wouldn't let that "rabied dog" story go without checking that out in the way she used to tell us about investigations she mentioned on her channel. So wished I had met her and Mr. Bucky. They both made me smile. You were blessed Stephen. As I know they believed they were blessed with their kids and grandkids. Thanks for this. Please do post those recipes. I have saved most of your Mom's recipes. She cooked just like my mom. Seeing her and listening to her reminded me so much of my Mother.

This transition of not having Phyllis with us anymore is difficult for most of us even if we didn't know your mom in person. I used to spend my morning (with coffee) and catch up on her videos. Some topics really hit home with me - especially the one about lessons of life her mother taught her. Sitting and watching her just seemed to start the day off well. It became a routine for many of us. I am not alone in thinking that she was loved by a LOT of "strangers" who became connected to her through this channel. Thanks so much for easing our grief as we continue to pray for your family as well. Most of us WISH to be remembered by so many!! God bless you Steven.

I have watched Ms. Phyllis and Mr. Bucky for the last 6 years, after I found her I had to go back and watch what she had posted to get caught up LOL. You are truly blessed that you have your mama on video and can go and watch her anytime. She had one of the best channels on KZread, and she will be so sadly missed by her KZread family!!! Please don't take her channel down as there are several recipes that I refer back to....such as her biscuits (the best) and I just love watching her make them....well make anything really.

Stephen, I don’t know if you can understand this or not because none of us in KZread land actually knew your mom or Mr. Bucky but when she passed away I was so sad just as I would have been if I had lost a family member. They didn’t know us but we certainly knew them. It is so kind and thoughtful of you to record your own videos on your moms channel. I think I speak for all of her fans when I say it is a great comfort to us to watch your videos and for you to reach out to us in this way. I didn’t know Phyllis’s channel helped the children at the academy. That is just wonderful and great that you want to continue to help them through her channel. I usually have her videos on auto play during the day because I know the views help the children. You have the same gift as your mom with story telling and I’m sure you are a good cook too. Again, your videos are a great comfort to us as we also grieve your moms loss. Thank you for keeping her channel going. We love you already Stephen!

Hello Steven, Your Mom was so dear as was Mr. Bucky. There were two videos that your Dear Mom posted that will always make me laugh when I think of them one was Mr. Bucky talking about getting her a Whitman's Sampler for a Christmas gift and the other was the two of them talking about what they were going to have for supper - Mr. Bucky wanted a Harde's hamburger and your Mom was adamant that she wasn't eating that greasy burger!! It was so kind of you to do this video - thank you so much. Looking at you is like looking at you dear Mom... you look so much alike! She was amazing and I loved her exacting nature and her passion for teaching and sharing so much with us on KZread. I look forward to your future video's and stories. I checked socialblade and I was tickled to see our sweet Ms Phillis’s channel gained 3 thousand subscribers this year ! Hopefully that revenue will help her beloved school as Steven mentioned she had hoped . It still seems so strange that she is gone , but she will ever remain in our hearts and we have such sweet memories of our “ visits “ with her through this channel . I know she is so happy to be with Mr Bucky and her daughter Renee’ . I will always remember her advice on cooking and life in general .I keep watching videos and plan on making some of her recipes . My small way of honoring her memory, . I hope others will continue to do the same . If you see this Steven , thank you for sharing this beautiful video . You were blessed with the most wonderful mother and we all loved her and miss her so much ..... hugs to you and the rest of the family 💞🙏🏻💞🙏🏻💞

I used to watch your mother's videos years ago while in college. I learned pie crust and pumpkin pie and bread baking from her tutorials. I just thought about her recently and decided to look up her channel again. I was sad to hear that she passed away. She seemed like a very warm, family-oriented person. Hope your family is doing well.

Thank you for sharing your stories of your mom and Mr. Bucky. They were such a cute couple, I enjoyed watching your mom cook and how at the end of each video she would show each plate for her and Mr. Bucky. As I was cooking today I realized just how many gadgets in my kitchen were items she would recommend and I bought. My favorite being the Buffalo cups I use everyday. God Bless you and your family.

Sorry for your losses. My dad used to take us to Myrtle Beach every summer. We stayed at the Waterside Motel. Then they built the highrise hotel called the Breakers. I always wanted to stay there but dad said no. I always went shell searching there and found alot of sharks teeth. Found some of the coolest shells. That biscuit video looked good. I will try them. Thanks for the story.....

I live in UK and I loved watching your mom's videos learning some of the recipe's from USA , and trying them for my family , her voice was calming and I could listen to her videos for hours even going back over videos I'd watched before just so I could listen again and again , her and Mr Bucky's relationship was something I could aim for in my marriage , just the way they were together . I will miss her , and I do hope you carry her channel on , love and hugs from here in Nottingham in UK , God bless and keep her and Mr Bucky , and both of her family's , because she made us all feel like family , she had a special gift and if I can be anything like her my life will be worth while , she will be remembered by lots of people.

I just can't stop crying. I didn't know until today that she had passed. Like most of her fans, I never knew her, but I feel as though I have lost a close friend. Your mother was so special. We were all blessed to have been invited into her world through her videos. I wish I could have thanked her.

Steven, one of my favorite video's your Mom & Bucky did was on how they met! On that video, she talked about taking you kids with her and Bucky on their honeymoon! Precious story indeed! Please continue talking to us, and as far as her recipes, perhaps have a book made with family photo's for we fans to purchase! Your Mother and Bucky were amazing people and you posting this video helps "we" her fans grieve over her loss! I'd love to have her Biscuit recipe indeed! My prayers are with you all! God bless! (P.S. Thank you in posting your Mom's charity! That will help me feel I am doing something for your Mother by sending a donation!) Peace to you & your brother!

I watched that one too, after I heard Stephen's video of his Mom's passing. Went from being teary eyed to smiling watching them tell their story. Mr. Bucky seemed to just adore her as she told of their love. What an amazing couple. What a wonderful love story. ❤❤

Thank you, Steven, for sharing your memories. I have watched your Mother’s and Mr. Bucky’s videos for several years. Some of my favorites were when she would have the dogs in the videos and talk for them 😆. She called herself Mawmaw to the dogs!! I always got a kick out of those videos!! It seems that you inherited your sweet Mother’s great sense of humor. And Mr. Bucky’s calm demeanor. It is so nice to watch your videos. ❤️

Why in the world would 58 people put a thumbs down on this? ☹️ There are some pathetic people on this planet. Always some haters! I LOVE this! You have some same mannerisms as your sweetheart mom. You're as handsome as she was beautiful. I know she surely was very, very proud of you. Anyone related to Phylis and Bucky Stokes is a friend of mine and I'd certainly be interested in any post you do. Love the memories and stories! Thank you so much for doing this. It eases the pain a little for we fans. So sorry for your recent losses, but the beautiful outcome of the Heavenly realm is comforting. God Bless you and all the family. ♥️
