Grumpy Casper The White Lion Do Not Want To Play With His Tiny Lion Cubs

After the Satara Lion Pride has feasted on a buffalo, it is time for Casper and the Lioness to rest while the cubs want to play.
Watch a lazy, grumpy Casper the White Lion get irritated with the tiny cubs seeking attention from dad.
Eventually, the cubs turn to the mother for attention and affection.
Filmed close to the N'wanetsi River on the H1-3, just south of Satara Rest Camp in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
GAME DRIVE ETIQUETTE - RULES (SANParks):
- When you come across a sighting, slowly pull over on the side of the road closest to the animal, but keep a safe distance and turn OFF your engine
- If there are animals in the road, immediately stop at least 20 m from them
- The lane furthest from the sighting should NEVER be blocked, so that others can pass if they want to
- Don’t linger longer than a few minutes at a sighting, so that others can view it too
- Never go off the designated roads
- Never climb out of your vehicle during a drive, or hang out of your car windows or sunroof
- Don’t hoot or blare loud music
- Avoid driving into vegetation, as this could damage the environment or kill small animals
- During night drives, never shine a spotlight directly in animals’ eyes
- Never make noise to get animals to move, stand up or otherwise react for pictures
- Respect the rangers, and always comply with their requests or instructions

Casper is grumpy with his babies but the mama is a sweetheart i love the way they all go to her and flop down in front of her and she begans loving on them! Such a good mother! I hope they all live a long happy and healthy life! ❤
It seems like mom got far down the road on purpose to distract her cubs to following her, away from grumpy father... lionesses are holding the pride together and know what to do at different circumstances to avoid complications and a good climate for all...mom is the hero here ❤

Awe daddy was tired looked like he been in a scrap with others? What a good mom. So glad to see these three. Looks to be 2 boys and a girl? You know its strange that Casper being white, he only has a 50/50chance of having a white cub. It's actually 1 in 10,000 odds of having a white cub. So, yes Casper is very special!! Just like my house cat. She get grumpy when the grandkids come over. All mouth and hissing then hides. She never hurt anyone just all mouth.

Looks like Casper is pooped by all that patrolling and all those responsibilities of being a pride male! He is always on alert suddenly, and when he gets a chance, his head just flops down with a crash to try and get some much needed rest! His duties don't get easier, especially now

Casper is probably just tired. He is also 10 years old this summer. Lions have less sweat glands so they need to sleep/rest to conserve their energy during the day and are more active at night. Male lions patrol long distances to protect the pride from intruders.

He needs to find a female lioness with the leucism gene. If the female is a tawny color lioness that carries the leucism gene then it's about 25% chance the lioness will produce a white lion.
I'm apt to think Casper doesn't feel well. He looks like he doesn't feel good @ all! Hope his health is ok. At least he's tolerating his cubs. It's a shame none of the cubs are white lions, but maybe they're carrying the gene & it'll show in the next generation if we're so lucky.

Yes dad and uncles are the sole protection for the cubs, they have a lot riding on this. Sad when you see the odds stacked so high against them. 1 in 8 make it to adulthood, and only 10 percent make it to a good age of 10 years or older. Numbers don't lie.

@@ElizabethCarrero-vb9if I would have to find out, but I think it's like 100,000 compared to less then 20,000. I will check to make sure that's right. Remember when they allow a hunter to hunt a lion they Pick out the maned male lions and usually they are over a pride with cubs and that leads to 25 to 30 deaths when that one maned male is killed. I think I heard it was like out of the 20,000 the maned males are probably less then 4,000 are the maned male lions. Closer to 2,500. I believe that's right I can double check to make sure.

@@buffiesilver such a touchy subject you said the word hunt just touch a big nerve wow how do I start so basically you're telling me that they allow humans to come in hunt lions and kill them of course they want the ones with the full mane looks better over the re fireplace 😞😞😞😞 I know there's a lot of things that go on in Africa as far as hunting and all kinds of stuff that has to do with wild animals which I'm totally against despicable I mean find other hobby which I even hate saying that I don't think hunting and killing a lion is a hobby or for whatever purpose that they're thinking or feel I think it's murder it' makes me so mad 😡😡 they should ban it completely 100% I'll give you a real good example some hunters came out kill the lioness and she had Cubs so what happened to them Cubs so of course the Cubs are going to die so changing the subject if you get that information let me know I appreciate it

They are 2 males and 1 females. The opposite of the 3 subadults.

I think what you saw was a video wondering if Casper was alive, because he was laying and at the end of the video you see Casper pop that beautiful face up. Because casper is still alive and well as far as I know. I try to keep up with these Shish boys. They are some favorites of my many. 😂
