UPDATE: All Four Shishangaan Lion Brothers And Cubs And Zorro

January 2024: All four Shishangaan male lions are fine and alive: Casper the White Lion, Casanova, Footloose, and Mfowethu.
Even Zorro, the young Satara male, is in good condition.
The three Lion Cubs of Casper and the Satara Lioness are all doing fine.
GAME DRIVE ETIQUETTE - RULES (SANParks):
- When you come across a sighting, slowly pull over on the side of the road closest to the animal, but keep a safe distance and turn OFF your engine
- If there are animals in the road, immediately stop at least 20 m from them
- The lane furthest from the sighting should NEVER be blocked, so that others can pass if they want to
- Don’t linger longer than a few minutes at a sighting, so that others can view it too
- Never go off the designated roads
- Never climb out of your vehicle during a drive, or hang out of your car windows or sunroof
- Don’t hoot or blare loud music
- Avoid driving into vegetation, as this could damage the environment or kill small animals
- During night drives, never shine a spotlight directly in animals’ eyes
- Never make noise to get animals to move, stand up or otherwise react for pictures
- Respect the rangers, and always comply with their requests or instructions

Thanks. I was just a day ago praying for Casper and his little cubs, and his brothers too: "Their good health, safety and happiness." Also glad to see Casper and his brothers having a 'full belly.'

Thank you for sharing this update. So glad the 6 myanbula boys got directed somewhere else for the time being. That Footloose is handsome as can be. Good to see Mfowethu back with the boys and thankful Zorro is still doing well. That Casanova and Casper both looked very pregnant 😅 with their bellies so full and round!! 😅 Thank you for keeping us posted on this coalition and pride. Its greatly appreciated with respect.

I agree. We speculate that Footloose and Casper are blood brothers from the same litter and that Casanova and Mfowethu are from another litter born a few weeks later. Al, born in Shishangaan Lion pride, sired by the famous father Xihamham and his brothers.

She was with Casper for a day or two and waited for the right moment to introduce the cubs to the pride. Soon now, I think?

No place at all. He is the brother of some of the Satara Lionesses, and he is very fortunate not to have been killed or chased away by the Shish brothers.
