What is Casper The White Lion’s issue? His two surviving cubs and their mother decide to pay their father a visit after he and the Satara Lioness have been mating for three days. Then the unimaginable happens.
Filmed on the H6 south of Satara Rest Camp in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
GAME DRIVE ETIQUETTE - RULES (SANParks):
- When you come across a sighting, slowly pull over on the side of the road closest to the animal, but keep a safe distance and turn OFF your engine
- If there are animals in the road, immediately stop at least 20 m from them
- The lane furthest from the sighting should NEVER be blocked, so that others can pass if they want to
- Don’t linger longer than a few minutes at a sighting, so that others can view it too
- Never go off the designated roads
- Never climb out of your vehicle during a drive, or hang out of your car windows or sunroof
- Don’t hoot or blare loud music
- Avoid driving into vegetation, as this could damage the environment or kill small animals
- During night drives, never shine a spotlight directly in animals’ eyes
- Never make noise to get animals to move, stand up or otherwise react for pictures
- Respect the rangers, and always comply with their requests or instructions

Aww poor Mama lioness, he didn't really attack her, just chased her off and then marked his territory next to the lioness he was mating with. Good to see he treated the cubs nicely though. Such is nature!!

Looked more to me like Casper just chased the lioness off, as she interrupted his interlude. Good to see Casper mating and roaring. Loved when the lioness started roaring, too. Great video...thanks, Africa Adventures!

The "other" lioness, after being startled (Casper just loudly growled at her, he didn't do anything aggressive), came back and even let out a few roars herself, before taking off. Lions being lions, and I love it! 😊❤🦁🐾
After mating he roared ' I did a good job' lol😂
He treated the cubs with respect. He didn't hurt her. Casper hung out with her at times . Poor mom
Lions shouldn't be disturbed while mating with a lioness. Always happy to see Casper he wants to extend his family size with more cubs. Love you Casper and your brothers! 🙏💗🦁🐾🐾
This is the first time I’ve seen any violence from Casper. He’s usually a very mellow lion, at least on camera.

He sensed he was coming to start drama, so he nipped it in the bud swiftly. That is a king right there.

So when they are on honeymoon no one could get near? Wow he sure was cranky, and they both started to roar, I felt so bad for the lioness 😔 and got his Cubs nervous, that wasn't nice 🥺🥺

Are the two lionesses related, friends, live together, normally a Lion has more than one lioness, the lioness that Casper was mating with was looking at the Cubs, I'm not a liom behaviorist, but I know you've been doing this a lot longer than myself, sorry about the long text

I'm not sure about the relationship, but I think the fact that she thought to check on the other Lioness may be Sister's or Mother/Daughter, I don't think either we're old enough to be Grandmother. Casper has been Beaten by his Brothers over Mating Rights and Lionesses gave given him a Good Beat Down when mating so I guess he's a bit on edge...... But Casper always treats the Cubs well ❣️

Usually a pride consist of mom aunts sister daughter. Most of the time but you always have exceptions. Like Ximhungwe pride. As far as I know they are not related but maybe somewhere distant could be. Gingerella and Ximhungwe are as tight as sisters though.
She knows better when a lion is mating she knows not to approach. I am happy he didn't hurt her. Great footage thank you for sharing enjoyed

Casper was ill with the mother of his cubs, but i bet he would defend her to the death to protect her! Always love seeing her and the cubs!❤
The lioness with the cubs is only passing by and she can't mate until the cubs reach older age around 2 years old because she must feed, protect, and teach them.

I get what’s going on! Casper is mating and doesn’t want anyone else around which is understandable! The other lioness should have known better!
Casper is getting old and maybe a little paranoid? He has had some territorial battles we are unaware of as well. They are not in that good of shape anymore as a coalition, but I hope they get to live out in peace like they have been so far. Even in this most recent footage, when Casper moves you can see he is stiff/soar

Only two cubs, i guess the third cub is really lost now! Poor mother lion, lost her cub two months ago, and now her husband is cheating with another young lioness ...
I think their may have been a meal there and he run her off like the males do but was sweet with the cubs. Poor girl didn't even get a bite. Thank you for sharing.

The lioness he chased off was trying to tell the lioness he was with that she could do better. Casper wasn't going to let her poison the situation with that nonsense. You got to go was his message to her. The kids can stay but not you!
That was so sad!! Is it because he was mating with another lioness? Is he having an affair?

Male lions mate with more than one lioness. He just didn't like being intruded on when he mating with another. They do it every 20 minutes when she's in heat. Lol

Casper looks old, you just hope he wud still be strong to defend his future cups should the female fall pregnant.
