I lived in West Sacramento. Can I keep peoni in the pot, the ground l here only good for the Palm tree , and other big tree ? Thank you. At this time is summer, some days go to 110 . Or windy. It's hot from June until October, because Ca drought now.

Do you mind if I ask - do you cut back during in winter after the first year to allow for fresh growth on the second year or leave it? I have just purchased my first peony bare roots from wilkos also, so want to be prepared come this winter and not do the wrong thing :)

Hi i live in southern california, will i have problem growing these in a pot?

I just grow the first peony in a pot. It’s a small plant with a few buds already. I added some barks at the bottom of the pot to cover some holes. Is it ok or should I repot the plant and take them out? I’m a little worried about the drainage or fungus.. Could you please give me some advices? Thank you.

I’ve had mine for 3 years and they haven’t flowered. Instead the one bud that appears shrivels and then dies. The leaves dry out too
