I LOVE peonies! I planted a pink and a white chinese peony 10 yrs ago, let them go to seed every year and regularly have around a dozen new peony plants each spring to transplant or share. Each plant produces a unique variety of single and double blooms, color blends in white, pinks and yellows. . Of course, I have to wait 2 years to see the blooms but it is always worth it. My garden now hosts 36 mature peonies and a dozen or so new starts from the original 2. Letting them go to seed hasn't seemed to affect their root health or plant size. The more the merrier!

Here’s a tip for saving even more money. I just ordered 3 peony mix from TULIP WORLD, about $15. Very healthy tubers with at least 3 eyes each. I also found peony at Lowe’s $16 for 3 and again 3 eyes. Planted those in March and they are already producing foliage. I’m in zone 7b.

I really thought this was the only way to buy peonies. In UK they range. From £4 too £40 .

These tubers are from Eden Brothers. We have had good luck with them so far! 🤞 😊 It is a great idea to pre-order them now for fall planting!

Hi there! Peonies are planted by tuber in my zone (zone 6a) in the fall/early winter, but the tubers were ordered in the spring of 2022. To get a great selection, it’s wonderful if you can order early and the companies will ship when appropriate in your zone.
