This show was absolutely wild, they totally need to bring this back at some point. Curtis is the man, he knew all 4 answers but knew Valentino was wrong so he went with Janis Joplin the less obvious choice and left Buddy Holly which you could tell even the audience knew was one of the correct answers and it worked out because Dan ended up changing his answer. Not to mention Curtis' reactions were absolutely hilarious.

See, I would have thought Janis Joplin was the more obvious of the two because she's part of the "27 Club". But I guess since Holly was only 22, that's a pretty obvious one.

Curtis does something super smart on the $1M question. He knows that at the end, Daniel can pick anyone for the final answer and thus, makes the comment that it's "easy money" so that he'll get the last answer in. Also, listen to the inflection in his voice when he says Janis Joplin. He's strongly hinting to Daniel that Valentino was a bad answer and for him to change it. Also, although possible, it's unlikely the production team wanted the first four answers in the box to be right. Very, very good work by Curtis.

@ Anna Loveberry Babycakes I hate to break it to you Anna, but in order to win big money, sometimes you got to play dirty. And I hate to say it, but I don't think Jackie would have helped the team that good. Then again, maybe she would've been able to answer correctly if Curtis decided to have mercy on her and not challenge her. Unfortunately, we'll never know.

I'm surprised when the Terminator landed on Curtis that he chose to challenge Jackie instead of Melissa...who didn't seem too quick on the draw on the first Terminator (won by default) and considering she had double the $$$. They could have easily fit the $2.2 million question in this episode, but I think they used filler material because they wanted to get a better rating for the next episode in case anyone wanted to go on. They probably knew that Daniel wanted to go on. I’m also not sure the producers were sure on the rules for that last question, because there was never a time limit until that question. There was always a chance to change one answer, but Dan didn’t get that chance. There was no terminator because only one player chose to go on, and there was also no buy-out option after the third correct answer:

LOL at Chuck saying over and over they’d be the first to give away $1 million. But wasn’t that the $1 million chance of a lifetime and I think 1986? Although to be fair… And this is a fair criticism of that show you couldn’t win the million dollars in one go it took I think at least three days. Then the California lottery shows with no skill whatsoever I think had given away 1 million before this but I don’t know on that… UK lottery shows are far superior to anything the US ever put out for a lottery show. Some of their great games… I’ll shut up now about that And the first US WWTBAM millionaire was one week later? November 99. Still. Greed is my favorite of the million dollar craze shows. I forgot about Winning Lines. I was glad to see that writen up in the comments. I loved the UK version that was on for a while. I think we only got like three episodes in the US. 21 was a great game but I thought a little too easy. Millionaire I didn’t like. I mean compared to the others. It’s still a fine game. These games taught me so much more than school ever did. It was my favorite drug as a 10-year-old.
