No, it's not Millionaire, but it is April Fool's day, isn't it?
So what better time to post this episode (and it's a good one!) than now?
Since I know people'll probably ask, no I don't have any more Greed shows lying around :/

The qualifying question on Greed was removed from the rules of the show beginning with the first episode of Super Greed in late April 2000, and this rule continued for the rest of the show’s run. A few episodes that were aired in June 2000 still had the qualifying question but those were taped before Super Greed aired. The cancellation happened because the network’s chief executive at the time decided to accelerate production on live action scripted programming, which also initially caused Family Guy to be axed two years later. Most of the network’s live action scripted shows experienced lower ratings than Greed and Family Guy had. Family Guy was revived because it had strong viewership on cable networks.

No. Actually, the five Super Greed episodes were taped in mid April 2000 and the college week Greed episode was taped in early May, so the episodes aired in the order they were taped. If you watch the beginning of College Greed, the first qualifying question even asked about a *May 1* survey on how many people believe God performs miracles. I'm not sure where you're getting your information but it's not correct.

I heard the safety net per player for Super Greed was set for $200k if they got past the sixth question (which is $1 million). If that's the case, why didn't George just go for it if they were all guaranteed $200k each and had NOTHING to lose? EDIT: I just realized George had three times the portion of the $1 million, which is $600k, so it wouldn't make sense for him to go for it and lose $400k whereas the other two had literally nothing to lose.

7:36 Funny thing is, I was a child when this was on TV (FOX and GSN) and I very vaguely recall Chuck saying to a male contestant "You are famous" and the contestant saying he meant no disrespect! I never rememberred that it was from this episode! I'm also flattered his $100k question had two Philly answers given i'm from Philly... oh, and I guessed Philly & LA. 9:12 LOL Chuck was about to prematurely activate "that little devil!" I love that he called the Terminator that later in the episode! 34:10 lol Don't worry, Gloria. I was also battling it between the Tour de France and the Indianapolis 500. 37:21 That creepy "High Wrong" cue used to scare the shit out of me as a kid. Honestly it still creeps me out now as an adult but the creepy sound bytes and music was part of what made Greed a great game show!

Hi WWTBAM classics! I'm about to tell you a really creepy story! Well, it's not, like, scary creepy but... anyway lol... I found a law of attraction make-a-wish subliminal video on KZread. Of course being the Greed fan i am I wished for a full Greed episode, but i actually asked for a specific episode: A SUPER GREED episode but the premiere from April 28, 2000! 😨😨😨. Mind you I made this wish on Saturday night 🌃! It's Monday morning at 6:48 am when i posted this! Not the 4/28/2000 episode i originally asked for but this is SUPER GREED and it is close! And the clips from that episode are showing here! How creepy but how amazing! I always believed in law of attraction and I still believe sooner or later the whole 4/28/2000 Super Greed premiere will be posted here but thank the hell out of you profusely for THIS episode! Muaaahh! 😘 EDIT: Also, I like that you got the Game Show Network airing! I like GSN better than FOX, even though I like the Priceline ads that aired on Greed commercial breaks on FOX.

This was a great show. TV tropes calls this "The most blatant Millionaire ripoff". Yeah, if by "most blantant" you mean "not at all like millionaire", then you would be right. So much tension. Great music, so much riding on each answer. Getting emotionally invested in the team only for some of them to fall victim to the Terminator. The only downside was that because the structure was so unforgiving, the game would normally go like this. The terminator would challenge the captain, the winner became captain and had 80k, after getting 200,000, and would stop there. (One team even stopped at 100,000). I would love to see a revival with some sort of safe haven system, or at least make the pay jumps higher to encourage risk taking. (I wish they would have kept the super greed format with the 200,000 to 1 mill pay jump. It made it much more likely that the captains would go for it.)

Manatee Power If the producers of this show TRIED to make this better than Millionaire, they succeeded. I love the music and sound bytes too! What I REALLY like is that set though! It's funny you mention a safe haven. I'm sure you know this already but you know on Super Greed, if a team makes it past the $1 million question the entire team automatically has a $200k safety net placed below them provided they go for the $2 million question, even if someone is eliminated after a Terminator round. Forgive me if I'm wrong but in the episode before this, Jeffrey Gouda challenged John Epperson before the $2 million but lost, so Jeffrey went home with I think $100k plus $10k for challenging to begin with. Even though the Super Greed debut from 28 April 2000 was the BEST episode of Greed, I gotta say though, I like regular Greed better than Super Greed. Maybe it's because it's what I'm used to but, I like the $200k, $500k, $1 million, and $2 million money values on the last four questions better than the Super Greed money values. But i also liked it better when it's first 6 episodes was called "Greed: the Multi-Million-Dollar Challenge" with its progressive jackpot +$50k for every game the $2 million was unwon. I hope there's a revival too but as long as they keep the same set and format from 2000, except maybe get rid of the Qualifying Question. I want to be a contestant and be in the $50k seat.

For famous foods, George is correct on most of the thought process. Wonder Bread was before 1950, wonder bread has three bakeries one Canadian, one Mexican and one in America. General Mills owns Hamburger Helper through Betty Crocker Mondelez International (through Nabisco) is Oreo's current owner, it wouldn't have celebrated the 50th anniversary by the original tape/air date Spam was introduced here in 1921, Hormel has been the owner to that since it began its own life as a business Animal Crackers came in 1903, Mondelez owns that now and it has a changed design with the animals on an African landscape Spaghetti-o's came in 1965, that would be wrong. the product is owned by Campbells through the Franco American brand and as that likely has been retired with Campbells owning the brand totally and completely that confirms that Hamburger Helper came after 1950 in 1971 so both that and Spaghetti-o's are wrong So only Wonder Bread, SPAM, Animal Crackers and Oreo are correct by date (1921, 1937, 1902, 1912), the other two occurred in 1965 and 1971

My logic in that position would be that processed/canned foods are primarily a latter 20th century invension, which was partially confirmed when the Fish Stick's were eliminated, so oreos, animal crackers, and wonder bread seemed like a logical selection. Leaving just Spam Spaghettios, and Hamburger Helper. I would figure Spam was the oldest of all of them so I would have gone with that.

Anyway, i like the show when the first 6 episodes it was called "Greed: the Multi-Million-Dollar Challenge." As for a remake, I've been drawing blueprints and plans for that set, and i have ideas for the trivia questions (Tower of Greed, Qualifying Questions, Terminator Questions, etc.).
