My children (adults now) used to hate cream corn, but corn chowder NEVER had leftovers. Can’t wait to try the first receipt on my husband, who believes anything with bacon is on his diet plan. Always like learning new things from you Chef, thank you.

What Gordon Ramsey has done for restaurants and bringing together families in his fix the restaurants shows has made me realize we have actual angels walking here on earth today! Bless you Gordon Ramsey! (Im not religious or anything but dont know no better way to put it). I dont have many role models but mr Ramsey is one of them

I made these meatballs in coconut milk tonight. OMG!!! The flavor was AMAZING!!! And nothing overpowered anything else. I could taste the cinnamon, the lime, the ginger but everything just blended together so nice!! And the meatballs were so tender! I only had 1 come apart. It was absolutely delicious!!!! Thank you Gordon, for this recipe. 🙏🙏🙏

I just made the first one with the cheese scones but with leftover ham instead of bacon. I already had homemade chicken and pumpkin soup so just used that and added in some leftover roast potatoes at the end. Our child isn't usually fond of soup but loved it, especially the cheese scone! I told them it was a chowder so not to word associate.

I tried to make the scones following the recipe, but the proportions were all off. I’ve made scones for decades, but the dry liquid ratio was way too skewed toward liquid. I thought it was odd that there was no cold butter to cut in and only melted butter painted on top, and it was such an odd, dense texture. Also, the aged cheddar alone wasn’t enough flavor, so I added ground mustard seeds and dried red pepper, which helped a bit to balance the cream. Can you give me the quantities that worked for you? I had to add an additional 100g ap flour and it still wasn’t quite right. This was the first Ramsay recipe that didn’t work at all for me.

@@pinkmonkeybird2644 I think i used the Sainsbury's cheese scones recipe. I didn't have mustard powder so put a tea spoon of djion mustard and left out the cayenne pepper. I used extra mature cheddar and went slightly heavy on the cheese to use the block up but not like loads more. Our child didn't like puree during weaning and always turned up their nose at soup so i was more focused on the soup and advertised it as chowder rather than putting in chilli powder in the scones, which i would do for other meals to introduce and increase heat in other dishes. I didn't use cream but whole milk in the soup and scones. I had more self raising flour than plain so didn't need to mess about with baking powder. I also halved the recipe as i 6 scones were plenty rather than the Sainsbury's serving of 12. I like using Gordon's recipe ideas as a base inspiration and work of what i have and what the family likes. In the UK we also tend not to use as much sugar, butter and salt in the everyday diet. The mixture was quite sticky so i dusted the surface and top really well. You can use cutters but i literally halved the dough and then made 3 even balls from each batch and flattened them down. I used spray oil on grease proof parchment paper, brush with egg then remaining cheese on top. Our Strawberries are ripening atm, so might try the sweet ones next. I don't think there is anyway to make Devonshire clotted cream here in London but i do love a cream tea scone! Good luck with the next batch! x

Chef Ramsay, what is the difference between a porridge and a soup? Also, the cheese biscuits you made are a Southern staple. Typically when we make them we layer the dough 5 to 10 times to make the biscuits extra flaky and helps them to rise. I love soup so I am glad you are sharing these master classes. Thank you so much.

No dish changes quite so much from season to season as soup. Summer's soups come chilled, in pastel colors strewn with herbs. If hot they are sheer insubstantial broths afloat with seafood. In winter they turn steaming and thick to serve with slabs of rustic, crusty bread. Happy hungry! Cheers, Domenico.
