@@sharonanderson3851 I understand what you mean. The fostered dogs love their foster parents and would for sure love to stay there forever. But not everyone can foster a dog - and most dog foster parents can't have 10 or more dogs at the same time. If they'd keep all their foster dogs, no other dog could be fostered and a lot of dogs would never get the chance for a good home. So to be able to help as many dogs as possible, doggy foster parents have to find new good homes for their foster dogs. But I'm sure Jill and the other foster parents make sure that their foster dogs future homes are great and their new parents will love them and treat them well. So even though the moving from the foster home to the forever home will be hard at first, the dog will be loved and well cared for in their new home and will bond with their new people and be happy again :) And the foster parents can help another dog by fostering him or her :) Foster homes are preparing the dogs for their forever homes by helping them to overcome their anxieties and by getting to know them so that they can find a suitable forever home.

@@sharonanderson3851 There aren't a lot of people who have the time and training to foster dogs like this. Many people wouldn't know what to do or wouldn't have the time to help a dog like this because of their work or family responsibilities. Once a dog is socialized to trust humans, they usually do pretty well adjusting to their next home. Giving the dog away to another home might be a little sad, but it clears up the foster parent to take in more animals in the future.

Some shut-down dogs seem to gradually improve in small steps over a long period, as though they don't trust what's happening to them. This is what all dairy cows go through, so you know. They get artificially inseminated against their will every 9 months so that they can get pregnant and produce milk, and their babies are taken away to either be killed, sold as veal, or raised as another dairy cow. This is done over and over until the female is physically spent and cannot produce enough milk to be economical, and is then sent to the slaughterhouse. You don't need dairy, and you don't need to pay people to put cows through this just so you can have some "tasty cheese".

My husband was called to a home that had flooded. When he got there he found many dogs in the basement in crates. Some had drown unfortunately, but he grabbed two that were alive and brought them home. For months they would not leave our basement. They'd hide in dark corners. They were absolutely terrified of the outdoors. My daughter brought her little dog, Sophie, to stay with us and it turned out to be exactly what was needed. Sophie seemed to know that our two dogs needed therapy and she showed them that they were safe with us and that it was safe to go outside. Dogs are great!

Karma exists, so they do. You cannot let your guard down, you cannot appreciate the good things in your life, and you're doomed to drive yourself headfirst into the worst kinds of self-destruction, when you take advantage of the innocent like that. These people are damned by their blindness towards the wonders in their own life, and by the path that destroys all the goodness around them. I like Jesus's words of: "hate the sin and not the sinner.", because everyone can be redeemed if they open their eyes up to the suffering around them and they change themselves. I fall short of living up to those words when I see the victims though. Seeing that dog shivering, afraid to even move, and terrified that something horrible was going to happen *ALL THE TIME,* I... often just wish the evildoers were dead. I feel bad about it too, and I know Jesus's words were sage; and I'm not afraid to disagree with the guy. I just find it damn near impossible to forgive such actions, and I wonder if humanity is even worth saving because of people like that; because of an entire world filled with suffering that easily eclipses that poor puppy's. Suffering caused by our species. I think the good outweighs the bad though, and it all seems worthwhile when you see good hearted folk like the lady in the video. I can see the potential of our species there, and I think that utopia of kindness and selflessness is what Jesus saw too. A world post-scarcity, where we can reduce the suffering of all living things, and no one ever gets left behind. I think we can have such a utopia in our lives now, if we let go of all the evil bullshit that tries to drag us down; and we focus all our strength on being the best we can be for those people and animals around us, and for ourselves too. I think, that utopia, just becomes an aura around us then, a guardian angel in our immediate lives. Just look at this lady, and look at how that dog adores her beyond compare. Such devotion and love is surely inspired in so much of the world and people around this woman, because she does right by them. I believe you to do right by those in your life, and I hope you continue to improve yourself; and that heart, so you can enjoy more of that idealistic utopia in your own life right now.

The mere fact that "they" could turn a golden of all breeds into that scared, mentally crushed pool of distraught is downright sickening. How in the H--L can "they" live with themselves. Obvious psychopathy is in play here. God bless you for caring for Eleanor not that you wouldn't jump at the chance to do it again. I am so happy she got to salvage part of her life and have some normalcy returned to her experience. I know to forgive, to not judge, to appreciate life and accept whatever happens just taking it from there. This is a particularly difficult backstory to come to peace with, i will have to settle for knowing you saved her and she is safe for the rest of her years and leave it at that. Thank you, I'm certain you don't require any thanks at all, no doubt getting to save Eleanor has been a highlight of your life and its more than enough reward for the "effort". I adopted a breeder Mom who was no longer “needed”…she was the most gentle animal I have known in this world. I am confused about how to view the breeding industry as a result…most are in it for the money and likely take shortcuts to ease their life and business. But without the breeding industry, it’s likely worse for the dogs and the world given the resultant chaos. It was obvious the physical and mental toll that she had experienced, and yet, she was always tender and caring. She lasted three years with me…and I have missed her every day since.

" She makes me laugh every day". That line describes dogs in the best way possible. People that have dogs in their lives know that is the best part of having a dog. On the worst day of my life, when my father died, my Jack Russel terrier did some antic that made me laugh. I never thought I would laugh again after Dad passed, but Samantha sure showed me I was wrong about that, because I had a dog in my life.

Bless her precious heart. I am so sad what she (and other bred dogs) was forced to endure. I wish all the fear, sadness and anxiety that she has felt on the POS breeder who did this to her. Happy life, sweet Eleanor. 💖

She didn’t know how to be a dog and she had lost so many of her babies, I think she was just really sad and needed to be able to work through those feelings and maternal instincts.

OMGosh this could be my Emma's story. She tried to nurse her little stuffed pig. Still prefers small spaces. We've never forced her to do more than she could comfortably handle. Now 11yr. and love her to pieces.

Bless you all and thank you helping and saving her 🙏🏽🐾⭕️❌😇. The way she cried and held her 1st “toy baby” just broke my heart ❤️. You showed her the love ❤️ she’s been craving and brought her out of her shell. She’s a furry Angel 😇🐾🙏🏽⭕️❌😇
