умнейшая порода . у самого аллабай , до этого были в основном лайки , так вот как охранник территори лучше нет породы , реально ходит проверяет все ли в порядке у него в хозяйстве) очень серьезно относится к своим обязанностям причем никто его специально этому не учил , все в " крови"

Probably a bird, bat, reptile or small mammal moving around up there that or he could hear the barns structure shifting about and was confused what it was.

These animals amaze me. The dogs know exactly why they are there and the goats know these dogs are there to protect them

He is just amazing . I love watching all the dogs work….and the kitty cat too!! I wonder if one dog, say Judge, is responsible for a certain area, like the inside of the barn? He seems to always be patrolling and watching that area. Maybe it’s his obsession with the little goats? Love all these animals!!

This is what one of my GSD’s does this. She patrols the house, and watches over our garden. During garden season, she keeps out everything but birds and insects. 😊But she is most protective in the house. She often lays down outside of our bedroom door, and guards the hallway.

It's instinct to them and they also train each other (I think Judge joined when he was young and the others trained him, but correct me if wrong). I don't think she had to do much training

I grew up raising and showing St Bernards....but my true love is watching a working dog.....that instinct is so powerfull...my grandson is protected by an Australian Shepherd....It goes where he goes and its beautiful.....built in body guard.

Your Judge looks so much like my Ferdinand. We lost him to camcer almost 2 years ago next month. Baseball sized splenatic tumor. He was 9 almost 10 years. He was an American Mastiff so 3/4 English Mastiff & 1/4 Anatolian Shepherd. He was my heart dog and I was his everything. He thought he was a 5# lap dog! He was the runt pf his liter and still weighted 180#. I love watching Judge as he works it makes me smile.

I absolutely trust my dog and my cats, when they get out of the routine it's time to be extra careful. Not once walking with my dog we avoided rowdy people and aggressive dogs just by her perking up her ears and looking attentively to a specific direction, I always understood is high time to retreat and go opposite way, and quickly, she saved us more times that I can count

I thank God on a regular 4 dogs and for cats. How would our world be without those two animals? I think God created dogs and cats and horses for very special "help-meet" purposes for humans. We would definitely not be anywhere near where we are without those three

I was surprised when my first Pyr puppy, about 7 mo old, began leaping up and barking at the sky. I looked up to see one of the bald eagles had come over the mountain top, and was circling the valley on our side. It was so high, I barely noticed there were 3 of them -- but 'Lina knew, and she let them know, she was on the job 👍🏻🎉🐾🥰 I'm always impressed by LGD abilities

Background noise was spooky but you can see Judge heard the wee bird in the rafters who you can hear chirp four times. He dismissed it; were it a predator you would've seen him come to life! He's ON it, never missing a trick thank God! Valiant, competent protector! ❤

They often take turns napping throughout the day. One will sleep while the other two keep watch. But even thought they're sleeping they're up like cannon-shot if an alarm is sounded! Truly amazing Guardians! ❤

Very , very, fascinating & interesting, to say the least. He is extremely thorough & vigilant , to a large & instinctual degree... that far outweighs the sensibilities of just any canine. These behaviours , sensitivities & reactions ,he exhibits, to any changes or disturbances, no matter how subtle they may be , in his assigned surroundings, are very specialized & are a result of highly selective breeding, over a period of thousands of years, by shepherds, farmers , livestock breeders & herders.
