When does the tutorial start???
After hours of Googling what way to trigger my Canon flashes with the new Eos-R camera, I came across this vid. So direct and well presented, thanks a lot for the upload!
Thank you very much. Finally, someone who delivers a youtube presentation for the specific purpose of helping people! This was hugely helpful. Bravo.

You're very welcome!
Finally, I got the answers I was looking for. Thanks! I might even be taking your courses. We'll see.
Honestly your video is clearer than the product manual. Thanks!
Great Video! I immediately subscribed. It is short, clear and well structured. Keep it up!
Thanks for the review and also I've just gone through your portraits course on your website. All very informative and useful. I had a Godox flash and was always having trouble with the Yongnuo triggers but after watching this I switched to the Godox X1 TTL trigger (cheaper here than the X Pro) and it works great. I'll probably get a couple more Godox flashes because they seem to work well with the triggers in a unit.
brilliant I am in the process of changing to the Godox AD 200 Pro and your tutorial of the trigger has helped immensely - I do follow you thanks
I just bought one. It is truly amazing. Thanks for your review.
You have the best explanation. I learned 2 things I was unable to set up. Thanks!
*Great video. I was looking video on Godox xpro trigger and your video gave perfect information. Thanks a lot.*
Thank you for speaking out honestly on the product review. Good work.
You are quite the good teacher. Very clear and helpful. Thanks.
Great review and pleasant to watch and follow. Great teacher with great voice! Thanks!
Awesome video. Congrats for the info you shared!
Excellent review and tutorial. I just bought the trigger and already noticed some of the quirks.
Thank you for this demonstration! Very helpful
Your Video was Awesome. Very Smooth and Easy to Understand. Thank You!
The TCM button sounds good for studio work because you can start your pre-setup in TTL then switch to manual for the actual shoot. That way you don't have to worry about the quirk that TTL has of having the exposure shift if you change the framing of your subject. It will result in making post-processing easier when the exposure is constant.
You explained much better than the others explained the X Pro. And some were good. Thanks.
One of the best videos I have seen on KZread. Thanks a ton.

Strange 2 years ago you have given this perfect explanation, I come from eBay to find out they still sell it, and I’ll get one as I had this problem to uose any other products with most gear I have, at lest one serve all wonderful investments less to pay, it’s two years but late better than never, thank you 🙏🏻
great review! Love that you use the KISS Principle to explain everything.
Watched your vid & got the XPro, TT600 right afterwards. both work without a problem & my Canon 580EXII synced with both. very good job.
Well done. Great refresher!
That was awesome. Great job. Keep it up.
Great video, very intuitive and precise instructions.
Awesome review!
Great review man, thank you!
Good video - thank you Phil. Regarding lack of pass-through TTL hotshoe. It is really simple to solve this. Mount your camera on a bracket and attach the flash to the bracket. I have just bought this together with an AD200 Pro (with a circular head), a V1 and all the goodies - what a fantastic system!

🎉Thank you so much, your video helped me link my Godox x Pro C to my Neewer Speedlight‼️
Thanks for the detailed review. I point wanted to add, my manual has both Chinese and English. English starts from pg.23. I initially had the same reaction but later realized it has both. Thanks.
Thank you. Very well explained
great, clear and concise. Thank you.
Thank you for this video! I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark II and just purchased a Godox transmitter and receiver. I use a Canon 430EX II in a soft box and couldn't find a long enough, corded, off-camera solution. I've never been wireless. This video helps me a lot!!! Thank you!
great video man, thank you
I prob should have gone for this one. Got the x1f & am having great fun with the learning curve. Very good vid.
Great explanation for this item. Very well said👌
comprehensive information. Thanks you!
brilliant easy to follow video thank you, glad you addressed the battery indicator issue that really annoys me as you never know if the trigger is going to die on you mid shoot!
Thanks. Its the best video talking about this RT. Thanks again
Would love to see one for the X2T trigger that came out more recently. I really enjoy your videos and the reviews of products so far. Thanks!
Had no idea about the TCM feature. Absolutely brilliant!

You should thank to ATG.
Hi Phil. Many thank for this post (and for all the others !). Your presentation is crystal clear. I was desesperately searching for the reason why I was not able to adjust with my Xpro-C the light power of my old Canon flash "Speedlight 580EX". Apparently you experimented the same issue with your 430EX.

Useful video !
Very good review
Very clear , great video .
Thanks , all the important points with no waffle.
Thank you, very helpful!
Very good and informative.
Some really cool features I never knew about! Wish I watched this video 3 years ago! 😂
Very nice and explanatory video
Coincidentally I just had one of these delivered yesterday for my Nikon camera. I already have a Godox flash, which works well. I was playing around with it before you released the video and you gave me a little more insight into its use, which I appreciate. Just getting started with off-camera flash. Makes me think it might be worthwhile to take the course mentioned in the video. 😀

Hi Eric, glad you enjoyed the video. You can check out my Advanced Off-Camera Flash course here: www.steeletraining.com/offcamera.htm
I am a newbie with no experience with off camera flash. As such I very much agree with the English section of the manual being extremely poor -- almost to the point of being gibberish. Thank you for being there to help clarify how this trigger works!
This video has sealed it! I've just bought the Xpro with a X1R for my 580exii.
Nice review!
Thank you for information that speedlight Canon 430EX doesn't work in a Manual mode with this trigger. You just saved me!
Thank you for sharing this information. I own a Godox XT Pro trigger and learned how to use it with some of my Canon flashes I had left aside.

Do you have Godox XPro-N for Nikon ? Or XPro-C for Canon ? I Have Godox XPro-N for Nikon and I'm trying to see if it will work with Canon flash that I have, using the X1R-C receiver for Canon
From Italy a many thanks, grate explanation even if i am using xproN on my z6 and SB700. I will follow your web site. Thanks again.
Thanks, very helpful!
Amazing explanation
Thank you! Very useful!!!
These triggers are really great. When you consider how many features are packed into that tiny box for less than $80 it's completely worth the money (compared to over $400 for a Profoto trigger with fewer features). I love the ALL button and the TCM button and use them often since I mainly shoot in Manual mode. When I first saw something similar to TCM on the Profoto system I thought that was the coolest thing but couldn't see myself paying for Profoto gear. When I learned that Godox had the same thing (plus more features) I sold all my existing lighting gear and went Godox/Flashpoint. Glad that there is a *switch* to turn on/off the focus assist beam rather than requiring users to dive into a menu system to turn it on/off. I do with the focus assist beam was tighter like the Canon Speedlites, but hopefully that will be improved in the XPro III version whenever it comes out; because the XPro II version has a very similar focus assist beam. I agree with you that manufacturers need to build gear to better accept rechargeable batteries. Meanwhile, I find much more reliable results by using 1.5V alkaline batteries in my triggers than 1.2V rechargeable batteries. Everything else I do is with rechargeable batteries, but when it comes to a radio system I'll still use alkaline if it means more reliability. *No Pass-Through* - Not sure why you recommend the Pixel King as an option for a pass-through hotshoe, especially since the Pixel King doesn't appear to be any better than the Godox X1T. I have no experience with Pixel King, but I'm assuming it isn't *Cross-Brand Compatible* like the Godox X1T and probably won't trigger or control Godox speedlites or the larger Godox/Flashpoint strobes. I own the XPro (both the Godox and Flashpoint versions), the Flashpoint XPro II, and the Godox X1T. I use the X1T when I need an on-camera flash and it works fine, but for everything else, I really like the XPro II (except for some misfire issues with the AD600 Pro strobes). The manuals are definitely a challenge, especially since I like to read the manuals and learn about everything my gear is capable of. I recently had issues understanding the manual for my AD200 and had to get online and ask around. After several responses someone was able to figure it out and now I know what the manual was trying to say.

question, will these triggers help increase the distance / range I can get between my speedlites and camera?

@@rosasparks9978 - Hard to answer that question without more information. What triggers are you using now, and what range do you have now?
@rosasparks9978

@@JaredRibic oh heavens, don't judge😅 currently just using commander mode with my Nikon's (d300s & d7100) I only get about 7 - 10 ft if I'm lucky. The photos are beautiful when it works, but tired of taking a great photo and then realizing that the flash didn't trigger because I took a step too far one way or the other. Thank you for your quick response as well, I greatly appreciate it!!!

@@rosasparks9978 - No judgment here, you should have seen some of the stuff I started working with. I'm very fluent in Canon, but don't speak Nikon too well, but I'm assuming the "Commander Mode" is an optical type of trigger system. If that's true, then it's a line-of-sight type of system, and you would definitely benefit from the Godox system shown in this video. I use this system all the time, and to be completely transparent, there are occasions where I'll have misfires, but for the most part it's very reliable. I've been able to trigger from over 75 feet with no problem.
Well done. Thank you!
Great, I see this product at Photokina this year and looked amazing. I would like to buy one
Well done, thank you for that helpful vid! I received today my XproS Trigger for my Sony A7RIII and tomorrow my AD200 Pro will arrive as well. I am excited to test the system ☺️ I hope there is a new firmware on the trigger which avoids that „Press the set button - Move“ for confirming the flash power.
Very essay to understand and informative tutorial
Great video
Very nice point on the translated manual. Hope the company will pay attention.
Thank you Very helpful!
thank you for the video!
LADDA are a cheaper version of the Eneloop batteries sold by Ikea. They are made in the same factory and some have said they have even out performed the Eneloop in tests. I just bought 4 and they allow my flash to power up more quickly than my other rechargeables.
Thanks! ღ the video very helpful.
The flash settings locks in when in full view mode. Try setting your old flash to TTL mode while using the XPro in manual mode as it should adjust the power. Godox uses TTL protocol to control some other flash brands and it works for all my older flashes. I enjoyed the video!
This is still a great tutorial. I am being constantly let-down by my Pocket Wizard units as they work and then quit at the most inconvenient times. I need a dependable flash control system and this is looking good. I don't care what they cost, I need flash controllers that work every single time in every environment. I really like that you can set all flash sets at once with the "ALL" button. I just use a cage for any on-camera flash, but that's not something I need under normal conditions. Thank you, going shopping right now. :) I do wish you had spent some time talking about the receiver units.

Ppl still use powerwizards? Omg. They are so bad. Just move over
Just the best instructions for using this trigger. Thanks. The manual is only fit for the recycling bin😂
Thanks for the vid
Great video! Thank you for your explanation. Still finding out if this would work out with my Nikon SB800 in manual mode.
Very nice review. Thanks. Does the TCM function work for a group of flashes?
Godox now has a new trigger with pass through which has been received with high praise.
Very interesting video that helped me better understand some features of the XproC. The very bad manual provided with the device is really disappointing. I had to write down my own manual (in french) in order to be able to use it correctly. Thanks for your nice work and the quality of the video... I will be glad to discover how you use it in a shooting environment.
For event photography get a flash bracket. Moves the flash further from the lens and the trigger can operate that flash as well. You can change the power settings from the tigger rather than the flash.
excellent video. Unfortunately, I agree with your statement concerning older canon speedlights. I have the canon 430 ex...will have to get a canon 580 ex ii...
wow, I wish you would talk about the flashes TT600 and the receiver settings. Nevertheless I enjoyed your class, very clear as well as not a waste of time talking about insignificant things. Your viewing is excellent and voice. I'm going to take some of your classes today after I find out how to work the receiver and the flash, it looks difficult now that you've made the transmitter look like first grade ABC-123 Again, thanks
Great video, TQ
Thanks for the video. I have 2 of the SK400iiWs, and am considering the XPro. What is the Multi-shot mode

Great gear Thank you
Nicely done video. FYI, my new Godox trigger is displaying battery level accurately, so yous may have a bug. Also, they are simple dual hot shoe plates that allow me to use trigger and flash side by side on the camera.
Helpful thanks.
Hi Phil, i got one question regarding Yongnuo flashes. Is it possible to trigg the YN 560iii, YN 560 IV and YN 968 with the Xpro, but without the X1R on the YN flashes? I thougt they have the same Frequenz (2,4GHZ). I tried it in the manual mode, but it doesnt work.
Thank you man..
Phil, I've taken your courses and watch your videos. This one got me interested in Godox, as I'm outfitting a new Sony kit. At this point, would love to see a comparison (pro-con) to the newer Godox X2T.

Hi Joe, I hope to review the X2T soon.
Hey, do the godox triggers function with other brand? Like would a godoy trigger function with a nikon flash or a youngnou? Or does the ttl/hss not work? Same with the youngnou trigger. Thanks for a response!!!
Great video, very informative. I'm very new to flash Photography. I had a question. I think you mentioned it earlier. With this transmitter you can operate any Godox flash without a receiver? So does that mean the flash has its own receiver? I have a V860|| for canon. So do I only need to buy this receiver to trigger my V860 || to do a off camera flash and use 2nd Curtin?
A damned good video!
