    With all the attachments and different heads, I think the AD200 is probably one of the most versatile lights and having two lights with the bracket can be benefit in many ways, over a single 400ws light. You have 400ws (or about that much power) when using the dual head bracket, BUT you also have two separate lights when you don't need as much power, thus making the system modular, and flexible, for about the same price (when you factor in 2 AD200's and the flash bracket) compared to the newer AD400Pro. Obviously, the AD400 Pro is probably a bit faster to setup and you don't have to worry about things like one flash firing, but the other one not (which I don't think is a huge problem and not very common) but you are trading some setup speed time for flexibility.

    I like the Godox system. Their products are versatile, easy to use and at the end not expensive. I use the Xpro trigger on a Nikon and on an Olympus camera. I don't think there is a lot much difference between the AD200 and the AD200 Pro.

    Godox makes great strobes. I have two AD200 Pro units and an AD600. (For overpowering the sun the AD600 is a much better choice.) For my studio I have some of the AC powered lights. One of the nice things about Godox is that they work with brands other than Canon, Nikon and Sony. I shoot Pentax, and Godox is one of the few manufacturers that care about us.

    Heitor, agreed, and the price seems pretty economical to me when I compare to the cost of doing the same with multiple speedlights. Of course I am also combining this main light with my older speedlights as rim and background lights, since the Godox system can trigger them with appropriate receivers.

    @@steeletraining I meant that I can't afford it. :( From what I realized in the video, one AD200 Pro has the power of two GN58 speedlights. I use Yongnuo speedlights. For the price of one AD200 Pro I can buy four GN58 Youngnuos with TTL and HSS, so it's pricey. As I said, the AD200 Pro seems a good investment, for the ones who can afford it, unfortunately I will have to stay with my Yongnuos for the time being.

    Vrey nice video on the Godox AD200! As a landscape and product photographer, I use 2 of them in either a 28" softbox or bounced, for my small product work, and they're excellent indeed! The flash output is highly consistent as well, and I've experienced almost zero recycle lag (though I'm no sports/action shooter.) The Godox X-Pro F Wireless Transmitter is equally robust and reliable. (I use it with a Fuji X-T3, hence the "F" in the product name.) The kit seems well-made, and so, I highly recommend this strobe for most product photography..

    From what I've seen of Phil I trust his reviews and don't think he would promote something that he didn't genuinely think was worth buying, but it's worth noting (especially when looking at other less scrupulous KZread reviewers) that there are Amazon affiliate links in the description box. So if you have clicked those links, even just to check the price, the owner of the link still makes a percentage of all the money you spend on Amazon for the next 30 or 90 days, I forget which.

    I really hate the ad-b2. It's really a waste of money. Once you add the cost you are better off with an ad400 which is lighter and balanced. The ad200 by themselves are great but adding the twin bulb bracket makes it a mess especially when you include the 2 extension cables. At that point you make as well use the ad360 or the ad600 with the extension head.

  • @hoghavemercy1

    It would be best if you learned to read through a person's comment before you make your own. I said, "it a mess, especially when you include the two extension cables." Which I was referring to when using the B2 bracket. I never said it requires cables. Read and comprehend what you read before you comment.

    The AD-B2 has better modelling light than the fresnel head, the bare bulb head has no modelling light. And you get a reflective surface behind the bulb which gives more light into the modifier.

    AD=B2 is a great addition for the occasional use when you need the power. If you regularly need the power output then of course you would be better off with the AD400 or AD600. For example, if I use the AD200 regularly and only need the extra power output once every 3 months, then the cheap AD-B2 is a great option rather than investing in an AD600 that sits in the cupboard and will only be brought out around 4 times a year.

    Why you say the 200 is 3 or 4 times more powerful than a speelight? A godox speedlight has 76 watts , two of them have 152 watts three of them are 228 watts thas MORE powerful than a ad 200 with its 200 watts.

  • @mutedmutiny9542

    @mutedmutiny9542

    Because it’s comparing 1 to 1, not 1 to 3. If you can just keep adding speed lights like that then they will eventually be more powerful than any light, but that’s kinda impractical and stupid. The idea is to get more power out of just one light not keep adding more and more small ones.
