I've been wondering if the af 200 would be up to par for headshots for a minute now. Thanks for answering that question In the video!

You're most welcome! It will do the job really well and I use them everyday. If you can push your budget to the ad300 I would do that for the modelling lamp but if not, the ad200 is great!

Thanks Simon! Question: can you combine an AD200 with an AD200Pro in an AD-B2? Or do both need to be an AD200 or an AD200Pro?

Great video Simon. Thanks! I'm new and been using Godox MS300 strobes for portraits. Even in a softbox, they seem to be harsh.....and take a lot of fiddling. Do you think 200 watt lights would help?

Thanks Steve! I haven't used the MS300'S but I have always found the AD200's very good in sofboxes. The bare bulb allows the light to come out in an omnidirectional fashion so it might be more even and not as harsh.

I bought the ad 200 pro today. When I turn it on it constantly makes a clicking sound. Does anyone have the same problem?

It sounds like the AD300 may be a better choice for portraiture.

Yeh, that is my thought! I bought the ad200's before the ad300 came out. If you can't afford the ad300 then having an sl60w led light will help with narrowing pupils. For the price difference I would probably go with the ad300!

The fresnel head with Magmod modifiers will change your life, especially if you shoot outside.
