It's meant to show how horrifically terrible he's become The voice actor for Kratos is still the same one actually. You might have confused it because he learned into the anger and fury a little harder this time and there isn't quite as much calm talking seanes this time around. Since he's more rage filled than ever

I don’t think they realize Poseidon’s Princess “held the door” by her body being used to jam up the mechanism. Thought they would be more freaked out by it realizing that Kratos truly didn’t give a damn about anyone

It's the same voice actor. He probably sounds different because of the higher fidelity audio Blu Ray and PS3 had over PS2.

In Ancient Greece, nudity was very normal which is why a lot of people are nude in some scenes.

Man I will say one thing....while playing God of War......I never focused on the nudity.. I mean thinking back now I was genuinely focused of Kratos's journey.😂😂

@@iReiGNxx Nope. The others had one as well. The first game was on the ship at the very beginning. The second was sometime before he gets killed and sent to Hades. They always gave exp orbs, but you immediately lose them in the river styx in 2. You get to keep them in 1.

The lion/goat/snake creature was a chimera. The Poseidon Princess wasn’t saved; instead, she was used as a door stop by getting crushed in the wheel. Hercules was only helping Hera since the situation was “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

Even I, someone quite mentally strong, felt a little bad the first few times playing this, I felt the toxicity that the game has

TC Carson played Kratos in God of war 1-3, they didn't change it, he just got more epic XD

I worked for the studio that made Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta for the PSP. There were one or two technological miracles produced on those projects that made it possible to release a game technologically on par with the PS2 instead of the original mission, which was to release a throwaway 2D sidescroller. I don’t know how much one vote can count, but I would love you forever if you integrated these games in your playthrough. I do think Ghost of Sparta might be the most lore dense story of this entire arc.

Poseidon's princess kratos killed her. Her lifeless dead body was holding the wheel crank in place.

It's not a new voice actor for this game, it's still TC Carson. He just delivered the line differently.

Funny fact. The actor who voiced Hercules in the game, (Kevin Sorbo) actually played Hercules for a tv show that I believe ended prior to this game being released. For you to know, look up "Hercules the legendary journeys"

No.Apollo literally exists in the god of war universe. He is literally mentioned in ascensions with their even being a statue of him and kratos uses his bow in this game. Kratos also has some of apollos magic which was gifted to him by Apollo when he became god of war. Kratos doesn’t use this power in the game but he uses this power in the comic book series which takes place right after kratos becomes god of war. He uses this power given to him by Apollo to summon the heat of the sun through his hands to vaporize an island sized monster. People keep forgetting that theirs a lot of Greek gods that kratos left alive like eos aka Helios sister, apollo, Artemis, Morpheus, Demeter etc who are all gods that appeared or were mentioned in the series including novels but weren’t present when kratos attacked Olympus.

TC Carson was still the voice for Kratos until GOW 4

The voice actor is the same until GOW 2018. You might just be hearing his voice in slightly better quality.

Given this is part one, I assume you've already watched both parts and finished GoW 3. With that in mind, I highly recommend rewatching the scene in GoW 2018 where Kratos is taking a boat ride back to his house to get the blades of chaos. That conversation with Athena hits much differently after watching GoW 3.

it actually is being adapted into a show on prime, at least it has been announced for some time but we got no more news

The thing is, Kratos *did* care about mankind. Well, he cared about Sparta. He cared about his wife and daughter. Unfortunately, the gods took all of that away from him. Ares had him kill his family, Zeus went and destroyed Sparta as soon as Kratos was out of the picture in the previous game (it got undone by time travel, but Zeus will still do that the first chance he gets). Everything Kratos loved, his family, his people, taken away by the gods and their games. Every time he thought they were on his side, even when he was literally their slave, they went out of their way to screw him over even further. So this is the game where he goes "F it, burn it all down."

Yeah, keep in mind that in the God of War games before the newest two, people Kratos helped tended to end up dying in worse ways than they would have if he never helped them at all.

You need to watch the Uncharted series after God of War, it is very cinematic and it was created by the same people that made The Last of Us.

They didn't change the voice actor. It's still the same voice actor, T.C. Carson, as it was in the previous God Of War games. Kratos's voice actor didn't change until God Of War 2018, when Christopher Judge took the role.

The "damsel" was poseidon's mistress and she was right when she said she couldn't hold the gear up but she managed to jam it pretty well. The art design can be summed up as van art, I term I hadn't heard when these games were new but that is definitely the type of high fantasy old GOW was going for.

Great video btw I’m glad these games get more exposure !! They are really like movies

The part Lion, Goat and Snake or Serpent beast is called a Chimaera. A beast that is used to guard treasure because at any given time at least one of the heads is always Awake! 😉 Poseidon’s “Princess” was one of his Concubines and had nothing to do with Kratos at All. 😎

@codyhun5916 No you’re thinking of the Sphinx which was part man or woman in the front with a Lion body and Eagle wings and the Manticore has a Man’s face with Lion teeth and Lion body with Bat or Dragon wings and a Scorpion’s tail or a club tail that is like a mace that shoots spikes. 😎
