Hoddle's goal against Watford is pure class. His first touch to backheel it behind him is weighted to perfection to tee up the chip. And the chip itself is sublime. Beautiful goal.

One of my favourite games of all time. And the build up to the goal was one of the classiest attacks of ALL TIME, never mind Danny's "Roy of the Rovers'" strike. Matt Le Tissier would suffer for Danny's second goal in that 2-0 win. Alan Hansen (6'3"!), out jumped by Danny for the second goal, could never summon anything complimentary to say about Saints after becoming a Match of the Day pundit.

I can see why Wallace's goal won, back in the day cleanly struck bicycle finishes were something you saw attempted at World Cups. Hoddle's goal is quite iconic though.

Wallace only won it because it was a bicycle kick. It actually isn't that great a goal as he's not that far out and he only had to connect with a high, looping back header rather than hitting the cross 1st time (like Rooney did v City). Probably because I'm Spurs and I love Hoddle, but that chip is just a thing of beauty. I've seen great passing moves, bicycle kicks, volleys and 25 yarders into the top corner but I've never seen a goal like that before or since.
