A little different on the 300 this weekend. Missed the torque of the 500 but still overall happy with how she handled. Gearing was off but all good. More glad to see you on the bike! Side note, think KZread may be blocking my comments on your content lol.. been enjoying the vids brotha! Glad to see you all had a fun safe trip.

That’s pretty far. Definitely worth an annual trek out for a week in the dunes. Just plan it man, make it happen! You’ll have a great time. Our next trip is Super Bowl weekend, probably my favorite every year. Just the right amount of people and plenty of camping options.

Thanks man! Gaia Gps. It doesn’t show you the hills or the washes but I’ve marked the main spots over the years. It was nice to have on being camped out that far for sure though.

With all the crowds just in the washes, I guess that is why I personally like to go on off weekends. Before a holiday weekend. Dunes are not crowded or tore up. Camp in 15 and usually only two or three other groups. Nice and quiet. But looked like fun.

You like the same weekends I do! I would prefer to only go out on slow weekends but my wife’s a teacher so we have to make use of the the holiday weekends when she’s off. The only thing I like about the big weekends is watching people run the hill.

It wasn’t bad at all. We’ve camped in that exact spot a few years ago. A bit sketchy at first when the wash road disappears and turns into a sandy two track lol. Luckily it was all pretty firm though.

Drilled a hole and installed a Tusk quick release flag mount with a nice big washer on top and bottom.

None, it’s been perfect. Just use a good sized washer top and bottom ( doesn’t have to be huge ). I don’t know why everyone doesn’t do it. Looks clean, flag is high, never hits you in the back or Helmet lol

Bummer your girl got sick. So I noticed that even in your Sand car the chatter bumps are just as bad as in the sxs. I thought maybe it would be better in a full car? O well stupid sxs’s messing everything up 😂

The chatter bumps still suck! This weekend left me looking forward to dry sand on the next trip. My sand rail is in the fairly inexpensive category. If it were a triple bypass car along with the coilovers, a little heavier, it’d probably soak them up better. My uncle Harland told me once, no matter how nice your suspension is, the chop still sucks.. lol
