I’ve been looking for an older jet boat,so I’m curious as to how much you paid for your boat?
Curious we have never been to the Blythe part of the river, always heard the name though. Usually Lake Martinez, Havasu or Pirates Cove. How is that part of the river?
May I make a suggestion ? I know you wont read nor reply but worth a shot. If that paper automotive element on your breather gets wet and there is a good chance it will the paper will get soggy or full of water and restrict you air coming into your intake . I would get rid of that and use a USCG approved flame arrestor for your intake. Your performance will go up drastically and be less restrictive .
I found your channel by accident. I am in my late 60s and have been in a huge rut and just quit living, I am trying to turn over new leaf and get out and do shit. I am currently restoring a 85 Well craft Scarab I got the engine tore down and I am rebuilding it . I am putting a hot comp cam the boat has a four bolt main 350 with after market Vortec heads the heads are being finished up as we speak at the machine shop. You give me the push and motivation to get my boat together and out on the water. I have no freinds in this town but I am determined to get this boat done I have let it rot in the weeds since 2014 this year I pulled her out thanks for the push I needed it

Used to go there all the time when I was a kid, but for the last 10-15 years, the water level is just so low that I don't want to risk bringing my boat and hitting a sandbar. Your boat looks great. I'll have mine ready by next week (restoring it for my dad). I can't freakin wait to take it to Havasu in 3 weeks.
I’m surprised every time at the number of larger pontoon and wake boats out on this part of the river. They just have the route memorized I’d guess to avoid the low spots. Happy for you dude! Have a blast in Havasu!

Been going to the river since the early '90s. I moved about 500 miles north over 7 years ago and haven't been back since. I really miss it and watching this made me miss it more. I bought a 20' mini day cruiser last year. 460 with a Berkeley jet. I think I'm going to have to make a trip south for a week or so and run Parker and Havasu up to Laughlin. I've had many large twin engine offshore performance boats. This boat is a blast but I understand you wanting a larger one as I'm finding it to be on the small side. I'd like something like a 27 Hallett with twin small blocks but I'd keep my little jet boat too.
500 miles is a drive form sure. You should make the trip. I still want to do Parker and Laughlin. We haven’t been to either spot. Headed back to Havasu this year though.
I say keep the boat you have and sell your current sand rail and use the money you were going to get a new boat to get a sand rail like your friends green one he got 😂

Ever tried out a SeaDoo HX? It‘s got a bench but it‘s SeaDoos closest thing to a StandUp JetSki. 95 modell got the ultimate 90s color scheme. Love the JetBoat content

Generally enjoy your videos. Really nice rig. You both should be proud to own something so nice. All that said, I think you need to take an introspective look at your water requirements. My wife and I have been rv’ing for over 30 years and our single shower draw is consistently in the 5-10 gallon range ( and no, we don’t stink nor do we sleep with left over soap in our hair). Talk to the RV designers, their requirements do not include continuous water flow when dry camping. Their assumption is you take a Navy shower. Wet down, turn the water off, soap up, then rinse. I think you will find that you can dry camp for several days on 70 gals.
Glad you enjoy them, thank you. We call it the GI shower and that’s all we do, just love how the toy haulers have 150 plus gallons. Just nice to have more than you need rather than just enough for a 4 to 5 day trip.

It’s my uncles house thankfully. But we do pay him for the rv hookups since we run the ac’s all day.

I have 190 chaparral. Volvo v6 with an out drive. I normally boat in lake Mohave. I launch out of Catherine's. Will my boat have any problems with the river being shallow. I want to try boating there but I'm afraid I might bang up my out drive. What are your thoughts? Thanks.🤘🍻
There’s plenty of bigger boats down here. It’s just a matter of running the right side of the river. If you had someone to follow and show you which sides to run you’d be fine in my opinion.

We use to boat the Blythe area (my jet boat days) back in the 80's and 90's. We'd launch at McIntire and camp about 5 miles south on the river, those were the day's...
That place is still on our list to camp at. We beach camp several miles south of it with the Jetski but I’ve never run the boat down there.

With delta pad , jack plate , trim and a good head of steam I can make it through skinny water with a prop . Ever been pelted by small rocks skiing in shallow water behind a jet ? That’s when you stay to the right or left

The cheap jet boat ain’t so cheap now 😂 I’m in it probably 15k, but it was worth it. It’s been a great boat for us so far.

We love the lower river section you’re talking about. We take our truck and beach camp down there. Haven’t tried that RV park yet but I’m sure we will at some point, Mclntyre. It looks like a popular spot.
