Glamis Thanksgiving Goes ALL KINDS OF WRONG! Turbo Sand Car- X3 RR - Getting Towed SUCKS! 2022
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Day 2 and 3 in Glamis California for Thanksgiving 2022 was interesting to say the least! My Beta 500-RRS breaks down and I have to get towed back to camp.. We shred the big dunes in our 500HP sand rail.. And our Turkey dinner comes our RAW! See you all for New Years 2023 Glamis!

I wish you had the CR500 and 250R to sell to me! Love the boat setup though. What about a sand car? Where do you run the boat, havasu?

@@TheOffRoadAdventureChannel... Yeah, I wish I still had them, last of the great 2 strokes, Yes I used to run Havasu, when I lived in Santa Clarita Valley, I retired 5 years ago and moved to Northern Nevada, I run Tahoe & more Norcal lakes now...

Love it, congratulations on the retirement. Hope to get there someday!
Cool video.... I love that you added B pillars! Just need wrist restraints now. I've seen too may bad injuries from slow nothinburger rollovers. The little parts shops or Joe Fab probably had those bearings and grease. Replaced many of them out there over the years. Keep up the cool vids! ~jw
I was looking forward to seeing a nice cooked turkey. One day I want to try cooking a bird that way. Love the new car and rig trailer set up.

We all were lol! It usually works great, but we should have guarded the hole from the wind until the coals were hot with the bird on it. Think we’ll smoke the turkey next year. Thanks brother, we’re really enjoying it.
That gave me flashbacks. I got towed out of the dunes on an XR350 years ago. I fell so many times. Death grip is an understatement. Turned out to be a $40 electrical part. Al Baker's XR's only, knew the part based on the symptoms.
When you own expensive toys the most simplest thing to do is preventative maintenance..
You guys are so lucky I’ve always wanted to go to glamis, I hope you guys had fun though!

Thank you man, I appreciate it!
You have an Awesome Sandrail be proud! Smart move on adding the B-Pillars and other reinforcement welds. Be careful on the power, started having to rebuild my 2D way to often when I reach 495 RWHP.

Hopefully it does well with the lower torque vs a V8. Time will tell though. Congrats on your new build by the way!! Sick setup

Camped in 16 this time. The chicken was good!
If you ever have to tow again, do it from the foot peg.

Time stamp of crash or issue? Did not catch it. Hope all is well- stay safe out there!
Great video, thanks for sharing. That is a great looking buggy, quick question though "do you miss the side by side at all"?

Thank you! At the moment, no we do not. They are incredible machines but it’s just not the same in glamis compared to a sand car with some power behind it.
Would love more info on the turbo setup and maybe places u got the parts thank u
Dont even try towing it, just put it on the back of the canam.

NOT 100% SURE BUT I THINK THATS AN SCU LIL BRO. I SOLD THE RZR AND BOUGHT AN ULTRALIGHT AFTER I SAW YOUR FIRST VIDEO WITH THIS SAND CAR! I HAD ALWAYS FELT THE SAME WAY YOU DID. ALWAYS WANTED A LONG TRAVEL CAR. CANNOT WAIT TO GET IT OUT AND FINALLY DRIVE IT! GONNA PROBABLY GO THE WEEKEND OF THE 17TH.

Maybe I missed you say it but what transmission is in that car?

Is the trans a 2d?

@@TheOffRoadAdventureChannel what's your thoughts on that trans at the 4-500hp level?
@TheOffRoadAdventureChannel
Жыл бұрын
Supposedly the trans was built for over 500HP but from what I’ve heard the 2D does well with a 6 cylinder high horsepower setup VS the torque an equal HP V8 puts down. We’ll see!
