Gigabyte Aorus FI32U Review

Ойындар

Welcome to my slightly less ghetto (maybe) Gigabyte Aorus FI32U Review. It was all shot on an iPhone XS Max: some free hand and some on a tripod. Some later footage was shot with a handheld gimbal, and I finally got a lapel mic. I haven't seen too many reviews of this monitor yet so here are some of my thoughts and impressions. FYI, I scored my RTX 3090 FE from best buy so it was ONLY $1500. I wrote my own shopping bot to help alert me.
Gigabyte warranty is pretty good: 3 yrs and first year has a 0 bright dot policy.
All music composed by me. If it sounds like it is from the 80's it's because that's when I wrote it.

Ooo, what options do you get in that KVM menu? I'd love to know if you can have USB C for the peripherals with DP or HDMI as the screen input as that right hand side. I'm assuming not and the USB C side has to have everything through USB C?

Thanks very much for your review. Newegg just got these back in stock today, so I jumped on it and grabbed one. My only concern is with dead pixels - would be annoying but not a deal breaker as Newegg's policy for returns is solid. Also a bit concerned with switching from a 35" 3440x1440 Ultrawide 120hz VA panel to this. My 3090FE isn't really being utilized fully in many games, and I'm looking forward to seeing my games in 4k. But I'm not sure how much I'll miss that extra width for gaming. Destiny 2 for example oversampled to 6K on the Ultrawide looked AMAZING. But I'm hoping the extra crispy pixels will be a lot nicer in Warzone, for example. I guess we'll see! Again, thanks for the great review. UPDATE: I didn't have a single dead pixel and the upgrade was *well* worth it. games run nearly equal to how they did on my previous ultrawide, which I attribute to the fact that there's less rendering of models and textures in the periphery. The colors are gorgeous and refresh rate is a nice bump, especially with slightly older games like witcher 3, sea of thieves, and the like!

Upvoted. Only review I found, that included off the wall power consumption. All info online says either 40w, or just states 120w maximum. Bought one used for one year, for 459 USD. Hope it will last. Updating from 1080p 60hz Benq GW2450HM bought new circa 2013 😂. It doesn't want to die despite 16h a day use, nor diplays any signs of wanting to, and things don't fit on 24inches anymore. At ease soldier... What brightness setting you used while measuring the wattage? Probably can be run much dimmer. 20-30% less power consumption I reckon.

Monitor just arrived yesterday. It's a beast. I turned off the RGB ( because I don't like RGB, and it uses power ). For anyone interested: I have green eyes ( so almost no pigment in my eyes ). So I see like a cat, and I don't need much light. I've set the brightness to... 5 ( out of 100, and "Green" mode is default 50 brightness ). And everything still looks plenty bright for desktop use. I could probably use it at 3 or something, but the colors loose "punch". At 5 everything looks good.

@@DirtRoadRemedy Yes, you can use it with ps5 with hdr disabled. I have HDR turned off on the monitor. That is if you can fit a 43" panel. www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824716002 (make sure you update the firmware). If you have a larger budget say around $1500 then OLED becomes an option. @@arogantech How far do you look at? Can you play competitive games easily without moving your head? I'm looking to my monitor with an arm measure, sometimes much closer because when im playing fps(cs:go, six siege) titles, i can't see the enemies which is far away than me.

@@afaegfaegaeg9551 I'm not super competitive but I do play quite a bit of Destiny 2 crucible. I set about 28 inches from the monitor and I can see everything just fine. But that is about as close as I would want to get.

For productivity, has anyone noticed the 144Hz refresh rate being better on the eyes than a 60Hz screen?

So I mostly code on 60hz screens but did a bit more coding on this panel last week for a couple of days and I really don't notice much difference at all except when I 360 no scope selecting some text :-)

11:54 looks a little bit like the New Balance logo. Ugly as hell logo, I wouldn't buy that arm either.

@@unforsaken552 Not a heck of a lot. Maybe a bit better response times? So the FI32U has dropped down to $900 more than once now and at $100 delta I'd probably still go for the FI32U but at a $200 delta pretty sure the M32U is going to be the better value and by far the cheapest 32" 4k 144hz panel on the market today. Here is a comparison chart: www.aorus.com/comparison/AORUS-FI32U_vs_M32U Also the warranty is a bit different. I think the Aorus line has a 0 dead/stuck pixel policy for the first year then
