this is my favorite shotty in Ghost. similar to the Olympia in Black ops..I just really like the look and animation the weapon has. of course its not an effective weapon to use but is fun.

Yea that's true, and sad.. :( This is the coolest shotgun ever in a CoD, but it's the weakest too, if only it had more range or damage it would still be weak due to the low ammo capacity and reload time, totally unfair against a Bulldog... Shotguns are so unbalanced in ghosts. I really hope they will nerf bulldog and upgrade the MTS ! It's so boring to see only one shotgun in MP.

Mazthoril the mind set you have to have with shotguns in COD and I've always had it...know that the range sucks and it is what it is...with the exception of the KSG in BO2. That one had the range of a weak SMG. People in COD will favor weapons with the highest fire rate. That's why the bulldog is as popular as it is. I use fast reload perk with my shotguns to help there.

I prefer shotguns that can kill in one shot or a least two, no matter the rate of fire it has, look at 3:47 , it shows you how disgusting the MTS could be, 5 hitmarkers at medium range (and he wasn't wearing ballistic vest, it would have been so much harder to kill if he was !!!) The devs should have gave the armor piercing bullets for shotguns ! Instead of the useless slugs... Good weapons, bad ideas ! =(

The Tac-12 is beast tho, I destroy people with it (and get KEMs with it :333), but still, I'd probably be better off with the Bulldoge, a 2 pellet kill up close with a spray shotty is just stupid.

Hey Driftor! I'm a long time fan of yours because of your knowledge of the CoD games with your in-depths and your constant desire to get the right info out to the players. I went to download your AskDriftor app on my phone after you said that it was live, but it still has the BO2 weapons and perks and no way to switch to CoD: Ghosts weapons. I looked for a specific Ghosts app but could not find it. Could you point me in the right direction? I really like your advice on my classes because you play style and mine are a lot alike. Though I like sniping a bit more than you do. :P

In 0:24 , how do you get Deadeye hitmarkers even if you don't have the perk or specialist? Maybe Gambler?

Something that isn't listed in game is that the MTs-255 has the same tight ADS pellet spread as the Tac-12. I suggest quickdraw due to the above average size of the hip fire cone.

the class i use with this gun is MTS grip muzzle break (red dot works too) stalker slight of hand marathon focus dead silence give it try see how it works, drift.

I find that this is a great weapon for teaching you how to run close range classes efficiently. It also looks cool.

Just found this, on my specialist streak I had scavenger, ready up hardline. I was getting my SP bonus at 9 kills. I rearranged my perks so it was scavenger, hardline then ready up and I was getting my SP bonus at 8 kills. Please explain this to me. I've clicked over 150 hours into ghosts and still don't understand it.

This is definitely the worst shotgun in the game, I mean it gets outclassed by every other weapon. It has crappy range, get tons of hitmarkers, and such a low magazine. I just don't see why anyone would run this over any other shotgun.

i dont understand why anyone would use a shotgun but i geuss thats just my personal preference and i honestly think shotguns out class all weapons and in recent years resulted in the destruction of call of duty but thats just my opinion

tacamo21 but it just requires no skill and i understand call of duty doesnt require much skill but if you wanted to have fun i would think a sniper rifle would be your thing and if you wanted to compete you would use a AR or a SMG.

I run this over every other shotgun because it: 1) Feels natural or for me (like the S12). Unlike the S12, it may oversample much easier, but it still has that feel to it that gives you the extra push to use it. 2) Is the perfect kill machine ADS. Once you ADS with this gun, you can most likely expect a kill or 5 (depending on how many people are around the 11 meter range), and can definitively work against people using SMGs and sniper rifles, unlike the other shotguns. 3) Is much better than the Revolver pistol by far. Seemingly the pistol version would be better, however, the Revolver is much more oversampled than the MTS, has worse accuracy, poor range and high swing per shot, and as such, is much worse than the MTS would be. 4) Any miscalculation against a person using this will be disastrous, because if you miss someone with the gun, and he's around 11m, you can just kiss his ass because he/she already got you. 5) Its wider spread, though it has drawbacks, has its perks. For one, you can hit much more people with the gun and get much more kills if you know how to use it correctly. Secondly, the max amount of people en masse I could hit at max range was around 4 people in a line on the side, and about 7 in a cluster; and I managed to kill them within the 5 shots needed, but at minimum range, I killed everyone within two shots. Don't worry I had gathered my friends for this personal test (then we just went no-holds bar next match and I still won).

I find all the shotguns brutally inconsistent. sometimes u one shot a gun from mile then somehow don't kill him point blank with 5 shots... I think his gamelplay demonstrates that pretty well

This is my favorite shotgun, and yes it does have a small ammo count, but I would actually consider this to be the real big-boy shotgun seeing as it can handle each enemy, in infected it outclasses the Bulldog by far, and even in Multiplayer it is great

This one was always my favorite in Ghosts. Get infinite sprint, a couple stealth perks, and a suppressor for maximum overtroll.

i would classify this shotgun as a niche shotgun, able to preform tasks like the bulldog and the Tac in that is can hose people down and get some pretty good one shot kills provided you aim down at those long ranges. but it cannot out preform those 2 guns in doing there respective tasks. making a weapon for people who desire a little bit both.

this is my shotgun of choice or rather gun of choice for hardcore bar none. i run slugs and a sight whatever you prefer i go for blue dot and i snipe with it all day long. i had previously gone with a tac-12 or FP6 slug set because even if i hit in the legs it would always one shot but i found myself dieing from a lack of fire rate if someone got close and for whatever reason i can not use the bulldoge to any effect. i think my K/d with it is less than a 0.2....wow.

This is one of my fav guns cos I got my first kem with it.

I love this gun

+metalw99 the olympia was an awesome weapon. What you dont do is spam it, play conservative with it and the olympia freaking rocks. Top up whenever possible, and DONT tighten the hipfire spread. The pellets do so much damage compared to other shottys, it is almost a hinderance to to tighten the spread

Im prestige 10, played all 3 other shotguns, but this is by far my favorite. Why? Its a nice combination of almost the speed of a bulldog, with a LOT more damage. The f6 is my least fav, but this is my favorite. The Tac is just ok to me, not nearly as accurate as this i find.

I actually saw "this gun" at the gun shop I go to. I forgot the actual name of it though. It shoots the 410 shell, so it won't be shooting out 8-9 buckshot like 12ga. would.

This gun is one of the nicest looking guns in Gold, I haven't seen anyone with it though, only in private games

I only ever use this gun when I'm playing with my friends in a private match because it is so fun to use!

Drift0r, semi-auto and select-fire are not the same thing. Select-fire means you can choose the firing mode, such as being able to choose between semi-auto and full-auto. This shotgun also isn't technically semi-auto, as it has a revolver action, and is a double-action, but for all intents and purposes, it works like a semi-auto.

Just a quick tip for everyone who plays this map. You can knife the gates to turn them off for the rest of the game. Very usefull in SnD

I will always play Hardcore game types. I use slug rounds along with a silencer. Its good for Hardcore Search and Destroy/Rescue to shoot across the map. The more you play with this weapon the more you can use it like semi auto weapon. However, that is just me.

I know it's probably been said before, but when you're talking about the minimum and maximum damage, the minimum should be the lowest damage of a single pellet, as that is the true minimum. Otherwise, keep up the good work!

this is definitely the worst shotgun in ghosts. you're right Drift0r, this gun tries to bridge the gap between the tac-12 and the bulldog, but it really doesnt cut it. depending on your play style and keeping in mind the limitations of either gun, the bulldog or tac-12 are much better.

John The Gamer Son true, i do agree that the mts is for sure a LOT better than the bulldog in infected, because with the bulldog it has no attachments and you don't get sleight of hand, but in other 'standard' gametypes, i would say the bulldog is better just because you can spam it like crazy and the range really isn't a factor given you can just empty that tube within seconds.

I don't see the problems everyone else has with it. I put muzzle break and slug, and end up one finishing most people from a fair amount of distance, and I get the distance it's not a one shot, I get the second shot off before they can kill me. I just run it with quickdraw, dead silence, focus, ready up, and marathon, and avoid getting in the middle of fire fights (as weird as that sounds).

nope, optics do nothing on shotguns in range or spread, all they do is give you a better sight picture if you don't like the iron sights

Dirk Groovy It affects all weapons the same :P The weapons "jamming" isnt a mechanic in the game, it's just when you pull the trigger when the gun isnt ready to shoot it just doesnt :P

Jesus Christ, Drift makes these amazing in depth videos with specific stats on each gun, yet half of the people are bitching about a few grammar mistakes.

While this shotgun might be outclassed damage and range wise, the fire rate (at least for me) is more valuable. The pump action shotguns get me killed in 2 v 1 or 3 v 1 situations, where as this gun (again, for me) seems to handle large groups better. I have no argument for the bulldog outclassing it however. Love the in depth though. Thanks Drift0r

Hey Drift0r I think it'd be a good idea to try rpg game in depths and reviews. You do a lot of COD reviews and in depths, why not try a game like Borderlands 2 which is very weapon based. The info you give for COD could be really useful in many rpgs.

But on the other guys video he was on stone haven across the map this gun hit ^_^

Driftor you lied about the slug rounds. They do not have unlimited range because I shot at long distance and I didn't get a hit marker

2nd best shotgun of the game

I got a kem strike with this shotgun in infected. yes infected, but still 25 kills with this shotgun. It's not all that bad of a weapon; it's not the vks.
