I like how in most CoD games, a .308 or .338 bolt action sniper rifle does more damage than a .50 cal anti-material rifle. So realistic! :)

Shouldn't your sister concealed carry outside her home? First off, showing others in public that you own a gun is just plain stupid, and second of all, if someone criminal sees her with a gun, wouldn't she be the first target the criminal would shoot? Concealed carry is almost always better, and weapon draw time doesn't really change much.

After playing TitanFall beta , its pain to me to see another Ghost video , but this is for you Drifter , Glad you & you family are safe ..

I pair this weapon with the Reflex perk and the CBJMS so I can put that last shot down range if the Lynx does not kill and the CBJMS has that "full jacket" rounds for people that go behind cover!

I've found that the Lynx is quite good in the Cranked gamemode. The movement buff and added speed perks greatly help to remedy its faults, allowing the Lynx to be used in a more aggressive role.

ACOG and stalker on the LYNX is amazing. I already had the ACOG but you suggested to add stalker and I have fallen in love with this machine now. its longer longer a gun to me as i said it is a machine with those paired up

Honestly, I think Drift0r is using this gun wrong. Chrome Lined is a terrible attachment for it, as it essentially turns it into a bolt action with worse stats. If you use the default barrel or the silencer, the damage is still good, and you can actually make use of the semi-auto fire, it's not too bad at all. The Lynx with thermal and a silencer is actually a great setup on large maps, especially ones with heavy traffic areas (Whiteout is the absolute best example).

Its funny how some people think the snipers are OP. Yes, it a high damage weapon with a high fire rate, but it is balanced by low movement speed, low reload speed, high idle sway, and bad hip fire.

Nice video Drift! Great tips but there were a couple of small errors. Firstly, unless the sniper rifles were patched, the Lynx and the L115 share the same one hit kill area from the knees up. Secondly, the Lynx shoots at 300 RPM. 400 RPM is the ROF of the VKS and Maverick A2. Another error was that the ADS time is the same as the VKS and Maverick A2 at ~0.45 seconds. Other than that there weren't any mistakes :P Hope nobody was hurt in the home invasion situation.

Actually got my full ghillie suit using mainly the Lynx + Thermal and Chrome Lined, but agility, quickdraw and ready up are a must

I realize that for the sake of the game being balanced they have to give some areas where it does not kill people in one shot, but anyone who can take a 50cal shot to the thigh deserves a medal o.o

In the new update they changed the animation of throwing stuff with your riot shield. Now u move the shield all the way to your side to throw stuff instead of just your arm.

Sure it is, if you don't count Metal Gear Solid, Battlefield, Arma, Duke Nukem, Socom, Fallout, or any other shooter game that has .50cal rifles, then I guess you might be right.

In mw3 you could put a proficiency on guns that let you hold your breath on non snipers (i think it was called focus) so, just put an acog, and the focus on a barret, or as-50 for you hipsters, and you have an amazing sniper that doesn't zoom in too much and that gives you peripheral vision

It's fine for quickscoping. I just use a Thermal as i can't stand the default scope. Also i dont use chrome lined as it makes the recoil so much worse, which i dont want from a same auto.

I use the lynx for quick scoping all the time I also use it with a acog. My two setups I use are both acog lynx ex mag with agility marathon quick draw steady aim focus or acog lynx armour peircing agility focus dead silent blid eye incog and the last two games I played I went 50-3 with the fist setup second setup was 48-9.

Just a minor correction - the rate of fire is actually 300RPM instead of 400RPM, the two fastest firing snipers are the Maverick A2 and the VKS which fire at 400RPM :P

You should do a versus video between the snipers like usr vs l115 and lynx vs vks and winner of those goes to a final to see which I would be the best of the best. Thendp the same with the other weapon categories.

This weapon is meant to be hardscoped with. It's essentially a campers sniper rifle and that's all its good for honestly. It's still useful because its meant to make someone die every time. Only good for medium/long range maps. Don't be an idiot and take it to a short range map or you'll have a really bad time of it.

If you were the one with the firearm i hope you told him all the one shot kill areas if he did not leave and the time to kill. If you did it is unlikely he would ever ever come back. Hope your doing great and i look forward to seeing that video.

Maybe i just got extremely lucky, but a while back(quite a few months ago) i managed to get my, to this day, highest kill streak of 22(i don't go for kems often, i'm a run and gun support player) with the LYNX acog sight chrome lined on a match of free fall blitz in the ghost moshpit game mode. While my friends complained occasionally of their moderate annoyance levels, I wreaked havoc with the thing, walking slowly around, ads most of the time, with stalker and lightweight. Almost got the kem, but a teamate ended the game by scoring the 16th as i ran out of ammunition and the time limit melted down. It can be done, but only on the supremely small map free fall and with the right batch of enemies.

I've noticed myself when using this gun, that even with slight of hand this gun takes a while to reload. I like this gun for quickscoping - although it's slow, it's mostly a one hit kill

Yo driftor I think we all are glad that you and yours are ok. Home invasion is a scarey thing and you are very fortunate to live in a state with a castle/ stand your ground state. My personal opinion is: when a stranger enters your house with bad intentions they have sealed their fate and they would be fortunate to be able to leave the property unharmed. I don't own guns anymore nor would I like to kill an intruder but as a human being I have the right to protect my domicile and all those residing inside of it.

Drift0r could you be honest with me right now? Do you actually enjoy playing CoD Ghosts? I myself have been able to play all CoDs all the way through until the next one is released, but with this one idk. I have 6 days of playing time and I did not really enjoy them, so I started playing other games I wouldn't normally play. Opinion?

It's like this one lacks originality and a worth while killstreak I guess. I mean each CoD has had it's own memorable killstreak, Mw2 Ac130, Bops 1 Napalm Strike/Attack Dogs, Mw3 Ac130, Osprey Gunner, MOAB, Bops 2 Warthog, VTOL, Loadstar, Ghosts? Idk it's like there's an empty feeling, and maybe it's not the killstreaks but it's definently something...

There's only so much you can do to change it, without doing something drastic, like adding jetpacks and mechs, and creating a totally different game that doesn't really fit into the series. You said you've played all of the CODs all the way through until the next one. You're just bored of it. Take a break, play some new games, maybe come back in a few months and play a few games. You'll probably enjoy it more.

Has anyone else noticed a decrease in accuracy when using the thermal scope with snipers? I may be going crazy but I swear I've had my reticule right on top of enemy's heads and fired without even getting hit markers a lot more frequently as of late.

The Bulldog isn't his next project. It's the BULLDOGE.

My recommedation is that use Lynx with Acog and Extended Mags. Perks: Focus And Quikdraw are the musts. Use P226 as your secondary. (Use this class as a slow, heavy but powerful Marksman Rifle class.) (Ready Up would be a great choice if you have an extra perk point.)

Mustafa Emre Basaran it's already very slow, there's no point in trying to fight its weaknesses with perks. If you want a fast sniper it's best to just use a USR. As Drift0r said, ACOG's not good on the gun because of the already very high idle sway, raise speed is terrible (even with quickdraw its slower than most weapons without quickdraw).

Can you do an In-Depth on the red names that pop over enemy heads? They seem to pop up whenever, and almost never show at med. range if you're looking dead at them b

Hey Drift0r (or anyone else who knows) would it be possible for Infinity Ward to come out with a new update, and in that update was a new attachment for the .44 Mag called "double action" (or something I dont know) which would make it shoot without having cock it each time??

If you want it to be a gun to use when the enemy must die, wouldn't Armor-Piercing rounds or Extended Mags be more beneficial to that than the Thermal?

I am half agree and half desagree with ur coment, Caine. Since the Lynx has good ammo capacity in sniper category, the Extended Mags are not that needed at all. The USR and the L115 have low capacity so agree to use the attachement on those two, but they reload much faster than the Lynx, so it's good to have but not that essential. And about Armor Piercing, I agree. Since there wil be players using ballisic vests and the Lynx is the "best when the enemy must die", it would be good to have for more one shot kills without a barrier in the way. But the Lynx has really low accuracy due to the really high idle sway and the kick. If you have sure you going to kill the person in ur first ADS turn, u can change it for other attachement. But I think must ppl, me included, will try to kill as much players as they can sucessively, so it is important to enhance ur accuracy, and the Thermal Scope and the Variable Zoom Lens will help it. "Best when the enemy must die" is kinda of a empty way to use it, in my opinion. But, in the literal meaning, I would be changing the Chrome Line for the AP rounds. Every one in general will be aiming to center mass so that is not usefull, in my view. And the Thermal or the Variable to reduce the idle sway. I don't use the Lynx that lot, I do prefer the USR or VKS, but I would be using it like that.

I love the lynx... tough it felt a bit hard to play at the beginning. What I use is thermal, extended mags, ied, smoke, magnum with agog, quickdraw, aplify, focus, extra tactical (last one can be any if u ask me) and killstreaks are dog, trinity, battle hind. that is the class I destroy with :D got 24 killstreaks with it! and the smoke is so much fun if u rush somewhere, then aim thru it xD

+Drift0r if you have not already seen someone has created an app called dumpy doge (a flappy bird knock off). They took ozy's face and basically made it the " flappy bird".

I had a private QS match with 4 members of my Clan and one guy used the Lynx one used the VKS and another the L115 and me an another guy used the USR.
