    @@turboman9471 agreed. There was even stories of Carl fighting with loaded gloves against the likes of Lucien Bute and some guy from new Zealand or australia too I forgot his name. The guy said he was visited at his hotel before the fight and told to go down in a specific round against Carl. He didn't and the stoppage was dodgy to say the least and you never guess who the referee was, Mr Forster...

    Groves was an integral part of why British boxing is where it's at today. Sky wouldn't have invested so much if it wasn't for that first Froch V Groves in Nottingham and then London. Hats off to him, a very underrated fighter. He fought an even fight with Badou Jack and look what level he proved he was at

    This was a legendary rivalry, loved every minute of it back then. When groves dropped froch in the first fight, flippin heck!!!!! And when Carl pulled groves over the table lol. We can pull about, have a pull and a push, brilliant, absolute brilliant rivalry!!

    George had one of the most memorable careers in British boxing because it was full of highs and lows. The majority of British fight fans were so happy when George won his world title and to win his defence vs Eubank Jr.

    Every time I see that Howard Foster stoppage 🙈🙈🙈 he’s still punching Howard what were you thinking! You can see how relieved Froch is. Could have been so much different, that first fight paved the way for Joshua and Co to sell stadiums out.

    I've never felt so satisfied when I saw him win that world title finally. So deserved. Not to mention, absolutely destroyed Carl on Ringside that first time...the second time Carl won the pre-fight games

    Definetly made the hearnes era of boxing he sold both fights well I feel from the start of his fight with groves in the UK made boxing great again and now look how it's evolved I was so happy watching him win the title so glad he got it such a great story a great career will always be remembered as the catalyst to great fights over here in the UK no doubt. When boxing here was at its lowest remember George and his work will never be forgotten in the boxing world.

    I went to the froch vs groves at Manchester arena when I was 14 with my dad will never forget how much everyone was booing groves when he first come out and everyone cheering froch. By the end everyone was booing froch and cheering George what a fight it was shame he got robbed

    A great story of another British fighter truly having to slog the hard road to finally get what he wanted out of the sport, much like Michael Bisping in MMA. The night that they win their first world title, your genuinely happy for them & it shows all of us that things can be worth it in the end.

    regardless of how the fight would have finished that stoppage by howard foster was a bad one groves was hurt but he was still fighting back froch was lucky that night

    Enjoy the sunset George,I think you made a wise decision to get out intact,and do a bit of commentary etc. Good luck on the next stage of life,it's hard to accept we are getting older,but it's true non the less,and whether we accept or fight it,it happens regardless,takes time to adjust,but trust me you are doing well,all your faculties in order is not a given for any of us (never mind a fighter) be happy for this,and with time the adjustment will seem easier.
