Froch got blown away verbally in the first fight it was painful to watch and Groves thought he could do it again but Froch completely turned everything on it’s head to the point it was obvious Groves was done mentally...fair play to Carl Froch I’m not his biggest fan but this was legendary!!

I think Groves won the mind games in the first fight, which effected Froch's performance. The sports psychologist obviously did an excellent job reshaping Froch's mind. Second time around, he looked more focused, relaxed and clear headed, and made Grooves look like a lost child.

I always remember this fight not just for the KO but actually knowing that Froch was open about how Groves got under his skin and saw a sports psychologist to help him through it. I actually still picked Froch to win. My reasoning is that Froch always showed to be sturdy and relentless. When the first fight was topped, Groves was not in a good position even though people thought it was stopped early. I just never got the impression that Groves would be able to keep Froch off of him for a full 12. However, Groves truly irked Froch and Froch seemed genuinely bothered by Groves to the point where I questione whether Groves knew something we didn't.@@constantinvaldor3742

This is probably the best gloves off interviews I've watched. I then last night watched the fight and was blown away by Carl's ko. George has that stare in his face that chills you to the bones, with the little wry smile towards Carl's responses within this interview. The fight was a tactical battle, but that little disguised movement from Carl to draw George open then the punch that followed that finished George's round was a shocking punch, felt sorry for George he had upped his game and was scoring brilliantly, Carl was a bit more calculating.

Froch played into Groves' hands by getting wound up before the first fight. He didn't act like a champion losing his cool. He learned his lesson and didn't let it happen a second time. He absolutely schooled Groves here, tied him up in naughts by just sticking to facts. Groves looked like a little boy in comparison and I believe he lost a bit of belief after this. I wanted Groves to win but you need to give CF credit where it's due. He acted like a champion here.

George didn’t do himself justice in this.. he was a firey young man fueled by a poor stoppage and Carl played it perfectly by winding him up the whole time. Classic case of young buck against experience. Credit to George for going on to win WBA title, it was a shame to see him retire at 30.
