Look, Geno was a franchise QB when I scouted him at West Virgina. The problem is the Jets drafted him and he was ruined by a bad team. It has taken him this long to finally get to a team and offense, allowing him to flourish.

Geno's time at WV was amazing to watch. I wanted the Chiefs to draft him so bad that year, but they were all in with Alex Smith. If Andy Reid had developed Geno, I have no doubt he would have had an overall great career. Fortunately though, we ended up with Mahomes which is even better.

Geno played so good, sad the defense let him down on this one.

What's so sad is a lot of our fanbase blames Geno for the loss. It is absolutely amazing to me that they think this is bad QB play. We lost because we couldn't make them punt, but Geno was not the problem. I feel like even when he plays nearly perfect he is the scapegoat.

Thank you for going back and showing a "good". The last time he was injured and the OL could old so it was a struggle. Geno has been malign so much and he's good QB. Gorgeous spiral.

Loved the analysis! Super frustrating to watch as a hawks fan because Geno played more than well enough to win but the 4th down calls and the defense let him down. Couldn't agree more with your thoughts. When I saw that Dagger throw to lockett I knew you would love the anticipation. :)

It's pretty disappointing that half the seahawks fanbase wants to trade/cut him right now. Geno can play good football if he has any semblance of an offensive line.

He won’t be cut, that’s crazy. He’s a bridge to the franchise QB. It’ll take another year or two to get the team back to that level, they’ll get a new QB then. For now, he’s fine.

Loved the break down. I wish I could broadcast this to the whole fanbase, too many people think Geno is our problem or not good enough.

To be fair though he had a great game, he’s also had a bunch of bad games lately too. He’s obviously capable like he showed against Dallas so hopefully this is a precursor to what’s coming from Geno

He is not good enough. He’s good enough to give the team a chance to win, which frankly is exactly all average QBs bring to the table. He’s fine for the team right now, he’ll need to be replaced when the rebuild is done and the team wants to get the next level.

Thanks for more Geno coverage. Fun to watch him in a warm dry dome setting rifle a few beautiful throws down the hash. I wonder if he and Shane Waldron are building more anticipation throws into their plan after watching SF destroy teams with the capital A.

I like your take on that throw to Lockett. It literally was almost too perfect with anticipation and accuracy. Was on his face by the time he fully turned his head and was looking for the ball.

Wow, even with the cherry picked stats - or maybe because of them - that made no sense.

1st of all thx for the content. It feels good to learn more. 2ndly I'd remind you that Geno's throwing arm was recently injured. That could be a part of the short throws as well.

Seattle still needs a franchise QB and Geno is perfect to serve as the bridge

I’m pretty sure on the 4th and 4 there was a miscommunication between Geno and#11 JSN. Geno talked about it on his postgame press conference im pretty sure. I may be wrong tho.

A bit confused by the criticism of Geno drifting left on this play at 13:52. If I stop the tape at the release point the R side rusher is on the hash where you wanted Geno to be, and would be attacking Geno’s throwing side. The L side rusher has not reached him yet, and Geno can see him while keeping eyes downfield. What am I missing here?

Who's saying he's elite? How many truly elite QBs are there in the league? I've seen Manning, Brady, *Wilson AND Rodgers miss seeing wide open receivers. I'm tired of unrealistic expectations from unrealistic Seattle fans..

Except if you actually paid attention to the pocket you’ll see an edge rusher collapsing in on him from the right as he completes his drop back, he moves up a step to see another defender instantly in his face so he had to throw the ball. That play you are referencing was on the o-line, not Geno

You could have done a Clete Blakemen Analysis and had more content than Geno....great job as usual but this game was the worst called game since the last Seattle game.

Geno sure took the Hawks to the bank with that recent contract....Geno is nothing but a backup in this league, he had some luck last year but this year is what you get and why he was a backup for so many years.
