    My heart breaks for Colby. Right after taking the stand he is forced to look at photos of murdered loved ones. It really emphasizes the immensity of this tragedy. How does anyone deal with losing so many people they loved in such a short span of time and under these conditions? Colby is stronger than i would be. It so unbelievably sad. What a waste.

    I’m so very sorry for this man’s loss. He clearly loves Charles & Tylee & JJ so much. To have them ripped away by his own mother is just unimaginable. I am just so grateful that these two psychopaths are finally facing the cold, hard justice they so richly deserve.

    I'm an old, retired criminal defense attorney. I still assist once in a while as a consultant, but that's about it. Pryor is NOT a talented defense attorney. He's not incompetent, but he's a "middling" guy. Also, please realize he doesn't have much to work with; Lori's doing 3x LWOP already. He's guilty 9 ways from Sunday. The State has to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, but beyond that, they have to cover every possible hole or crack in the trial that could be raised in Appeals. Daybell KNOWS he's going to be convicted. That's not what this trial is about: it's Daybell taking his case to trial and facing the death penalty in the HOPE (which is extremely unlikely) that he'll get set free somwhere in the Appeals process. In the meantime, he'll be FAR safer on Death Row than anywhere else in prison. If he'd taken a plea and gotten LWOP, he wouldn't be able to appeal. THAT is why, in a nutshell, this long, enormously costly trial is taking place when his guilt is beyond ANY doubt. Still, the State has the burden of presenting the evidence and witnesses to prove his guilt to this Jury beyond a reasonable doubt. AND to do so in a way that eliminates legitimate grounds for future appeals. The Judge seems to be doing an excellent job. He's the one who has the most responsibility to ensure a fair trial. Daybell won't get off. He'll go down in history as worse than Charles Manson.

    Thanks for sharing. As the trial went on, his strategy of trying to distract the jury with irrelevant questions and irrelevant facts i.e., "was it 20ft or 25ft", had to become annoying for the jury and no asset to Chad, at all. He also mustered no emotion over the lives lost. I hear he wasn't trained as a Capitol offense layer, can that be true?

I know he just needs to sow somes seeds of doubt, I get it, but jeez...idk why he'd choose so many people to individually blame it on, bc that particular style of detective-ing doesn't read as credible either. 🤷

    I had the thought that once David Warwick bought the land to develop it, then the bodies would be moved there. I also think Chad planted the idea that it was a bipolar teen with a paintball gun. He possibly open, deleted and or blocked charles from Tammy's email or phone. Charles told Lori that he was gonna tell Tammy everything so Lori possibly told Chad to make sure Tammy wasnt alerted. Surely Tammys work email cant be opened on thier home computer. I hope Rob Wood asks Emma why she stuck her tongue out at news crews while they stood in front of the daybell home. So immature. If she was my kids 3rd grade teacher id pull my kid out or ask she be suspended. Its disgusting that poor Tammys kids are brainwashed. Like you gotta be a special kind of sheltered, weak minded, dim witt to side with Chad after dead kids are found. Reporting live from sofa said something about the kids riding 4 wheelers back there. Does anyone know if thats true? How insane and disrespectful. Ill never believe joe ryan, stacy cox, alex cox are natural deaths. Ive heard that as Stacy lay on her deathbed while Alex was caring for her the rest of the family were on vacation in Hawaii and didnt come back. Hidden true crime has many interviews that fill in so many gaps. Heather Daybell and Megan Cox are great. I wish we could get an interview with Janice and Summer again. If the media can hound Brian Laundries parents for weeks surely the media can find Janice Lori's mom or these daybell kids. Its no ones business about colbeys finances or marriage. He and his wife are back together and expecting a baby boy. He started a new yt channel. This poor guy had Lori jumping from man to man plus how manipulative narcissist she is. He lost his whole family. All he has are his wife and kids. I hope he gets great therapy.

Is this accurate? Why was Tylee venmoing money to these grown siblings? Or were they not adult at the time? I'm quite confused and a bit disturbed about that, even if they weren't adults. Tylee received about $2K a month from SS as a result of being her deceased dad, Joe Ryan’s, minor dependent. That’s a lot of money for a teenager living at home with no bills. Colby married young, and started a family early, so he was probably struggling financially. It was not Tylee’s responsibility, but she was generous to her brother. After Charles died, Lori took control of those funds. It seems as though she continued to send Colby money from Tylee’s Venmo after Tylee was killed. Perhaps she did that because it was Tylee’s habit to help Colby, and if she suddenly stopped without explanation, it would arouse suspicion.

    That's not fair grouping "All Mormon men" into a category as being "like Chad". Most active Men in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are great upstanding men. Chad wrote "novels" and then started believing his own lies. I wonder how many "other" women escaped his devious intentions? He's acting like a chump that is trying so hard to look innocent and he's behind all the corruption. When he and Lori met, the whole situation turned into The Perfect Storm! (Pun Intended)

    As a lifelong "mormon" living in predominantly LDS communities I have never met anyone comparable to these "mormon men" we've heard from in this case. Don't judge a religion by the extremists. Would you judge Catholicism by all the crazy mass murderers and rapists and sexual abusers in prison across the country who happen to be catholic? Do you judge the entire religion because of them, or extrapolate their behavior to apply to all Catholic men? Of course not.

  • @RachelDoesntknow

    @RachelDoesntknow

    @@nikan7704 A pattern isn't an extrapolation. And it's not about it being a religion it is about it being a niche culture. I'm passing judgment on socialization of a culture, not a religion. It is a highly sheltered, patriarchal culture (among other things). I'm sure you've met kind men and I'm also sure you've encountered plenty of these wolf-in-sheep's-clothing mormon men, as well. If we're talking about being critical of a religion itself, then yes I would be just as critical of Catholicism.

    I know that Colby believes that Joe Ryan sexually abused him, and I don’t think that he is being dishonest, but I do think that Lori planted that idea in his head when he was a child. She also claimed that Joe molested Tylee. As fucked up as Child Protective Service agencies all over the country can be, Arizona seems to have done a decent job investigating the allegations against Joe, and concluded that Lori made it up. However, out of an abundance of caution, Joe had supervised visits with Tylee, which is reasonable because the best interest of the child is paramount in these circumstances. Perhaps, Joe was a harsh disciplinarian to Colby, and he might even have crossed a line in that regard. However, I don’t think that he touched either child in a sexual way, and although he is dead, I hope to see his reputation redeemed when all is said and done.

    I have a soft spot in my heart for Colby. First of all, he looks a lot like my son, and they are about the same age. But mainly, of course, he has lost so MANY immediate (nuclear) family members. He also lost his adoptive father, Joe Ryan, and later, his step-father of 10 years, Charles Vallow. On top of all that, Colby once lived with his uncle, Alex Cox, for a period of time, and in the middle of all the killing and dying, he lost Alex, too. Lastly, he has lost his evil, monstrous, murderous mother to a lifetime in prison, but it's worse than just losing her physically. He lost her mentally and emotionally years ago when she began lusting after Chud. She went from being a good, caring, loving, soccer mom type to a heartless, cold-blooded, remorseless killer of HER OWN CHILDREN! I wish there was something I could do to help Colby cope with all that has been dumped on his plate. I worry that it's too much. I'm 59 years old, and I'm not even sure that I could cope with so damned much! Bless you Colby. You're in my heart, and I hope and pray you get through this with as few scars as possible and go on to live a lifetime of happiness and success in all your endeavors. 💖
