Big Z's interview at 50:05 is a great example of how a world's strongest man should carry himself. He hadn't won yet. He was disappointed to have come up short again, but he did not accuse anyone of cheating him. Mental strength is part of it.

It only makes you think about Mariusz being human even on the peak of his career, Svend's viking heart, Magnus's pride, Z's humbleness and the absolute unit Vasil was! Oh yeah, and the wacky haircuts of Raimonds.
Strongman and drug tests?! Gotta feel bad for Pudzianowski for being stripped of that 3rd place win.

When you see Mariusz at the end you clearly know WHY he failed that drug test 😂 Also: You gotta love one of my alltime favs - Svend - for his fighting spirit 🤩💪

Svend is a legit tough dude. He was falling apart physically the whole way through and bulldogged his way through it.
I wish WSM would go back to 8 events it seems like a much more well rounded way to test for zero weaknesses and makes for a really full and engaging competition

I had a mustache for 15 years while training...(when I shaved it off,) I lost all my strength ( I also stop training)..... besides the power of the mustache...there is one important factor not mentioned.... marathon runners are highly trained athletes and have achieved a strong mental ability to push the body beyond limits and through extreme pain..... although they are not known for strength...some that have gained weight have the mental tools to achieve strength achievements....I personally went from running marathons at body weight of 135..to 290...and deadlifted 780 lbs , benched 520 for three and then was injured ...then shaved the mustache off and it was all over..😮

Mariusz always the enigma. Every other year he switches from being billed as 6'2 to 5'9 to twenty eight or thirty two. We will never know.

To były czasy 💪 miałem 15 lat i oglądałem w telewizji. Mój starszy brat podczas występów w Polsce miał okazję odnieść im ciężar na linię startu. Podczas występów w Zgierzu. Człowiek miał inne aspiracje 👍 a nie jak w dzisiejszych czasach k-pop i inni pseudo chłopcy co piszczą i zachowują się jak baby. Bez obrazy dla kobiet

Not only just 6 men in the final, but the qualifying round leading up to it was 11 events. So Svend got injured and we ended up with practically 5 men in the final. The real loser of this was Savickas I believe. If Svend and Hugo was in the final, and in shape, he could've gotten some distance between himself and Vasyl on the Squat Lift, Deadlift, and Safe Press to perhaps gain his first WSM title. Or Svend could've taken his second WSM title because these events really suited him

Every one off them take roids... Is just stupid that they screwed Marius like that.
