    EXCELLENT ! Really clearly explained, straight to the point, I was just wondering if there is still an intention to show how to process the process bracketing in the camera, I use Affinity Photo but suppose it will be very similar what ever you use ?

    A couple of suggestions for firmware updates (sorry you must get loads of these!)... when the electronic level is on, please remove the need to turn it off before manual focussing, just turning the focus ring should do this. for exposure bracketing (and perhaps other bracketing options), can we please have an option to turn this on via an fn button rather than having to access drive... this makes more sense to me than the 'exposure bracketing setting' via fn (but that's good to have too). These two changes would make a near perfect camera, total perfection for me!!!!

    Would it be possible if Fujifilm designed a camera with the Xtran sensor similar to the XT3 and XT4 with the XT-4 body encapsulating it? Or make a body design like the XT-4 with a medium format sensor in it? The GFX 50R is a slow and bulky camera which I am not so sure if it sold very well. I like the image quality it produces but it is not designed to work like the XT-4 autofocus and or speed.

    So I had a question and hope I can state it correctly.....for the GFX50S, if I set SS to say 1/500 sec, f-stop at say f7.1 and if in a room with minimal lighting, the image would appear rather dark and would be hard to focus...can I have the viewfinder be set so that it would be brighter to focus but when I trip the shutter, the SS and the f-stop that I set would engage? Thank you...

  • @fujiguys

    Hi Sal. Yes, you can change the display setting and have the EVF/LCD to always be bright, rather than showing the resulting exposure. This is particularly useful when shooting in a studio, where you might be shooting @ 1/125 second at F8.

    Yes,i would say so,if you budget allows..It's medium format,so the files are pretty large,and of course you will need plenty of media cards and storage drives...For example,true redundancy might be something like this.128 or 256GB fast cards,and about three sets..Desktop computer with i7 CPU,64GB RAM..1080GT and better GPU/CUDA...2 x512GB SSD drives mirrored..2x 3TB WD drives@7200RPM..set up NAS or server with more hard drives,and then have another setup in another location,etc,etc..Also,being medium format and not being a spray and pray camera,it makes you take your time,breathe,and compose shots..It should be amazing for outdoor portraits,buildings,and some amazing time lapse...

    I just bought the GFX 50R and try to set it up. Under the Image Quality Setting/Image Quality, I only have Super Fine, Fine, Normal . I do see any JPEG+ RAW or RAW Only those choices. I don't know what I did wrong on the setting or press the wrong button before. Please help!!!

    There are a couple of ways to adjust the image quality; either the "Q" button, or in the IQ setting. You may have the "Drive" Setting in multiple exposure. Press the "Drive" button to go back to single exposure. Then, press the "Menu" button and scroll to the first page of "IQ". The second line is "Image Quality". You should be able to see the various options, including "...+RAW". Hope that helps.

    Hi Ted. Go to Settings > Save Data Setting > Card Slot Setting. If you choose "Sequential" that will save images to card slot #1 and when that card fills up, it will automatically save images to card slot #2.

    @@fujiguysThanks, this video is more useful than you think and thanks for the reply. Which gfx lens will you recommend as my second i have 32-64mm + to adapt (zeiss 35-50-100mm )thinking of 45mm but that focal length is in 32-64mm

  • @fujiguys

    @fujiguys

    4 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for your comments, Ted. For a second lens, it really depends on your shooting style. The GF45mmF2.8 is one stop faster than the GF32-64mmF4. It's also smaller. Another lens to consider is the GF50mmF3.5; which is a very compact lens, very economical, and pairs nicely with the GFX 50R.

    Does the GFX 50R have eye focus like the X-T3?

  • @fujiguys

    @fujiguys

    Anthony Da Vall Yes. The GFX 50R does have eye detect AF. It just won’t be quite as fast to lock focus as the X-T3.

    is Focus bracketing the same as what Nikon calls Focus stacking in their camera, but Fuji has a different name for it

  • @fujiguys

    @fujiguys

    4 жыл бұрын

    Fujifilm calls it Focus Bracketing as the individual images are not compiled in the camera, and it requires a computer and software to compile the images into a resulting extended focus image.

    What is the shutter T option? How is it different from Bulb mode (B)?

  • @fujiguys

    @fujiguys

    4 жыл бұрын

    With "T" you can set the shutter speed from the entire shutter speed range from 60 minutes to 1/4,000 second in 1/3 stop increments. With "B" the shutter remains open for as long as you hold down the shutter button (either physically, or electronically).

    @@fujiguys Thank you. Just one more question - when I doing a long shutter and need precise shutter timing, then I should be using the 'B' mode. Is that correct? Does fuji make a good remote shutter release / cable or advises consumers to use the phone based app? Sorry! ended up with 2 questions :-)

  • @fujiguys

    @fujiguys

    4 жыл бұрын

    If you need precise timing for a long exposure, you are better to use "T" as that utilizes the camera's timer, as opposed to "B" which relies on you looking at a stopwatch, then releasing the shutter. While you could use the remote app, if you are looking for a wired release, check out the RR-100 Remote Release.

    I really wish Fujifilm made a 35mm full frame mirror less.. I LOVE my Fujifilm XT-1 and XT-20 as well as Fujinon XF lenses .... But due to the high price of the GFX series, and lack of a cheaper full frame option, That is why I recently bought a Sony A7r III... Such a shame too as I loved the Fuji menus and that Q menu, and my Fuji XF lenses. When Fujifilm decides to make a full frame camera, I will stick with my A7r III for the next few years mainly used for astrophotography....
