The way you explain and show the menu settings is just really helpful - and after an internet research it seems that you offer so far the best explanation for this system. regards Albert

    For sensor cleaning, as we represent the manufacturer, we would recommend it be cleaned at FUJIFIlM support centres. For dust, we recommend a blub blower. Do not use aircan or compressed air as the debris could scatch the sensor.

Then be sure to select the correct display mode in the EVF by pressing the Disp/Back button it will show you the different options.

    I've been using the GFX for a couple days. The camera is wonderful, but I've been using it with my nikon lenses because Fuji does not have an ultra fast normal lens. Currently my Nikon 58 1.4 creates the look I'm going for. When testing it agains the 63 2.8 the images from the Nikon are far better for the look I'm going for. I'm a destination wedding photographer and I personally know many other who would love an ultra fast normal lens like a 63 1.8. Please Fuji, MAKE THIS LENS. I will buy it if you do and I"m sure others will also. Until then I'll enjoy the GFX without any native fuji lenses. If anyone at Fuji wants to see samples I would be happy to send them over. Thank you for a great camera!

    Hello, i shoot commercial photos and use high power strobe for photoshoot. just want to buy this gfx! But one question... Is there any setting for GFX to make the live view on screen not totally dark in studio high strobe situation? Like sony camera they have a "live view effect switch on or off". On 8:20 there is a "Preview picture effect" is it what i am talking about?

  • @fujiguys

    @fujiguys

    6 жыл бұрын

    Yes. You can change whether the EVF/LCD previews: Exposure and White Balance, White Balance only, or you can turn off the preview completely, so that you will be able to see the EVF/LCD with the short shutter speeds use with a high-power strobe system in a studio environment.

    Two more niche questions: 1- Does the Dynamic Range choice has an effect on RAW picture result or is it in effect only for JPEG images? 2- In Manual mode the Exposure Compensation consistently shows "-3", and I cannot change it?

  • @fujiguys

    @fujiguys

    7 жыл бұрын

    Sorry for the delay. 1 - It is in the processing. Some RAW converters like LR will recognize the DR settings but otherwise the RAW file will not show you the effect. In camera it will. 2 - There is no compensation on manual mode. (Aperture value selected, SS and ISO. If one of these is in A mode then Compensation will work.). the -3 might just be the meter reading you are seeing. If you change your exposure does it change?

  • @photonephotography8596

    @photonephotography8596

    7 жыл бұрын

    1- For this one my actual question was: The camera has 14 f-stop DR. If I change the DR in the camera does it affect the DR of the recording? My assumption was that if reveals more detail while shooting JPEG, but always same while shooting RAW. Does anything change-while shooting RAW-in terms of cameras DR recording? 2- Hmm... yes, when I pointed out the camera directly at a light source the EV changed towards +. You're right, it is the ambient reading of the camera's light meter.

  • @fujiguys

    @fujiguys

    7 жыл бұрын

    1 - Simply put no. The RAW file is the RAW file. The DR% would not affect the RAW in that situation. It is pretty impressive the amount of detail that you can get back in the RAW files. 2 - Excellent! Happy that cleared that up!

    Great video! Thanks for this! I love the quick shortcut to the format cards options, since it's kinda tucked away in the menu a bit. After shooting for two days, it would be awesome if you guys would allow more features in the My Menu area. Like format cards and time and date and whatever. Don't know why some of the menu options aren't available to add to the favorites list... Another thing about the My Menu area - PLEASE make it to where if you click the menu button, it goes to the last place you were in the menu, instead of the favorites area. For instance, when you go to to format card 1, after it finishes and you go back to menu, it goes to My Menu, and then you have to go digging again to get back to format! Also another firmware thing - please make it so that when you double tap an image to zoom in, have the camera zoom into the place you tap instead of the focus point! It makes zero sense that when you double tap it goes elsewhere. Ok and for the big number 1 issue... We need fast glass like quick. I used the 63 2.8 yesterday for an engagement and I'm used to shooting f1.2-1.4 max on 35mm format, and 2.8 just isn't going to cut it. That 63 should have been 1.8-f2 at a minimum. The wedding and portrait world is going to have to just use adapted lenses until you guys make a fast standard lens. So pretty please make that a big priority! Otherwise, the camera rocks and I really enjoyed shooting yesterday at a real shoot! Bravo Fujifilm!!

    Hi Cody Hunter Photography, We will add your feedback for the designers feedback. Keep in mind sensor size when considering comparing to your FF camera. Bigger sensor, more light! Enjoy the camera!

  • @CodyHunter

    @CodyHunter

    7 жыл бұрын

    Thanks so so much! Yes I agree bigger sensor more light and the high ISO capability of the camera is pretty nutty good! But you can never fake depth of field and even when you can compensate for light loss with ISO with a slower lens, you can never get the same "look" with a slower lens. I know you guys get this though as has very much been seen with the f1.2 x series glass so I hope it's just a matter of time!

    Hi guys, how are you? A year and a half ago I bought my fugi gfx50s and I love it with all my soul but recently I have had many problems with the viewfinder, sometimes it turns off just by touching it sometimes comes back to work, I have to turn the camera off and on constantly, or simply resign myself And just use the screen, I've checked the contacts and they look good and clean. You can not imagine how sad I am for this. It has been the most annoying thing that I have had to endure in my experience as a photographer. and apparently a lot of people are going through it. you who are close to the brand know something about this? what should I do? Fuji has spoken about it? thank you :(

  • @fujiguys

    There is no flash when using electronic shutter. Using the EF-X500 flash with provide HSS up to 1/8000 sec in mechanical shutter only.

    No problem! Also, if you use the combined Mechanical and Electronic Shutter, the camera will automaitcally switch to the appropriate shutter as required. So the flash would in essence disable the Electronic Shutter. When the flash is not being used and the conditions are appropriate, the camera would use the electronic shutter above 1/8000 sec.

    It seems to be a fantastic camera (considering buying one), however, I think that the biggest current weakness or issue is the compatibility with the triggering systems. Especially, if you want to shoot with lights and need to use triggering features such as High Speed Sync and/or Hypersync. Maybe a smart solution would be that Fujifilm produces a hot shoe adapter Fujifilm-to-Nikon and Fujifilm-to-Canon, so that people can use triggers PocketWizard, Godox or Radiopopper.

  • @fujiguys

    @fujiguys

    7 жыл бұрын

    You can already use those triggers! Search around I am sure you will find users with Cactus and Godox getting some decent results. You can also use leaf shutter lenses on the GFX50s for HSS. We will have more videos coming showing some tips and tricks.

    I am thinking of migrating to GFX after 20 years use of Nikon. I shoot a lot in the studio. I have two main concerns: 1- Focusing in low light 2- Using sync features such as HSS. I am upgrading my lighting, too-considering Broncolor. But I hit the wall of compatibility. Trial-error is a long and daunting process. Yes, it would be very helpful if you support (maybe even officially) and clarify: what works, how it works. Trusting rumors is the most frustrating way to figure out. Again, for instance, there is adapters for Nikon-to-Sony or Canon-to-Sony hot shoe adapters that allow one to use triggers. Why is there no such an adapter for Fujifilm?

  • @fujiguys

    @fujiguys

    7 жыл бұрын

    The pin layout is the same as Canon (No adapter required). Although, as mentioned no TTL, and No HSS with the triggers at this point. Keep in touch with the flash manufacturers for HSS support in the future.

    What is the difference, or how different is the compressed RAF from the uncompressed RAF file?-other than the file size. If there is no difference why does it exist?

  • @fujiguys

    @fujiguys

    6 жыл бұрын

    Compressed RAF files require a de-compressor, and some RAW processing programs do not have the necessary algorithms. Depending on the workflow, having uncompressed image files may fill up a card sooner than expected. Some users want to have the original file, other users would prefer the card capacity. Having a choice makes the camera suited to the individual user.

  • @opqrst7

    In terms of data and contained information they are 100% identical (?). If I open both (compressed and uncompressed RAW files) in Lightroom neither of them has an advantage or disadvantage over one another then, correct? In other words, there is no obvious or subtle reason to use the uncompressed RAW option. OR is there cases when the uncompressed can provide an advantage e.g., HDR photography or any other type of content or editing that would require it?
