Like many of us, Sam's uploads are the highlight of the day. I grow increasingly sad knowing this Miata build is coming to an end, but there is sooooo much to look forward to! Seeing the winner of the Miata is going to be epic (not going to lie, my luck provides me ZERO chance of winning) and I know it is the proper send off for Sam. As Sam stated, I believe this quarantine in the States will elevate future content. I am going to miss "all the little things" like the fishing content...just going to enjoy the conclusion of one of the most epic sagas on KZread!!!!

I'd recommend just pulling the turbo and disassembling it yourself. I had an old Mitsubishi 16G kicking around and decided to google how to disassemble a garrett and Mitsubishi journal bearing turbo and it shocked me how easy it was. Toughest part was dealing with a few snap rings but you can probably disassemble yours (being so new) in no time! That would give you a look to see if anything is stuck in side the housing (packing material, cardboard, who knows) and maybe it's an easy fix? The only catch is you *should* have it balanced when you reassemble it but some people get away with just marking the compressor nut, shaft, and wheel to get it good enough. Worth a shot my man!

Make your oil drain bigger, thats your problem. It should be AT LEAST 9/16" inside diameter from the turbo to the oil pan all the way through. You will cook the turbo with an oil restrictor.

Had this issue it's the neutral saftey switch you gotta put a little bar or Allen in there and push it back into place.

19:29 Im putting an 87 Cabriolet back together and making it nice. Red, and black convertible top just colors just like your Miata Mr Sammit. Thought something shorted out on it after a wire sparked under the hood and had a dead ignition switch. Went to test the leads on the ignition switch and after taking the lower column cover off it came right back on LOL. Car stuff

don't know if anyone has mentioned this for your stock seats, you can do a backpad delete pretty easily, just unclip the backrest pad at the bottom, pull the middle insert forward from the front, remove that foam pad, then just tuck the material back and ziptie it back. This will give you a little more room, also the seatrail may have a stop on it, you can reverse it to get a click more room to move the seat back. Last thing you can do is actually cut out the bottom foam of the seat. Used to be use a hotwire or electric carving knife for quick results. This could help you sit more comfortably in the stock seat. I'm sure the shop has a few spare seats you can do this too laying around as well.

Good to see it fixed! Sadly you haven’t seen my comment on your penultimate video. I wrote some hints for tuning that special seal. Like we do it on our race engines. Anyway I hope it stays dry 🤞🏻

You should really run a heat shield between the turbo and the brake and clutch masters, pretty much a must for any turbo miata as you don't wanna have brake fluid boil on you

I've been meaning to say since you first mentioned getting rid of the BOV all you would need to do is disconnect the vaccuum source then hey presto, you basically got a over engineered block off adapter.

for further clarification the pcv valve is closed under load with boost. Block off vent and attach vacuum/boost gauge to dip stick tube and you will see 5-15 psi in crank case on the dyno or driving around dont mean to be an a hole just been building engines since before you were born granted i dont play with 4 bangers an engine is an engine i have cars like a 71 plymoth super bird or 70 buick gs or my dohc chevy small block 95 corvette zr1

To prevent the stuck in reverse issue. Put a few washers between the reverse light switch and trans.

Yep, the boundary oil pumps use non oem seals. Mine leaked bad also. Changed it with an oem seal and had no more leaks.

That's funny I was telling my boss at work about the buckets a couple days ago.

Make sure you tighten the spindle lock nut and loctite it. I had a cxracing kit on my b18 eg and blew 2 turbos and one engine due to the flutter. It jerks the nut loose

Alex is right on, sounds like a street bike.

miata trans can get stuck in reverse and you gotta take it out of reverse through the reverse switch hole.

You don’t pre fill your filters? You’ll be surprised how much they absorb. Depending on filter location will depend how many time ya fill it

Its louder and sounds way worse with it blocked. As well as is worse for the turbo. Good job.

I had that problem a lot it’s all 90 transmissions if your at a red light and press the clutch and you leave it and go to 1st when the light turns green it will lock you out the same way

you should put a metal dose pipe on the turbo inlet to see how much louder it makes the flutter haha

Even top name stuff has to be checked, sometimes I feel like R&D or quality control for these parts places LOL
