    Don't forget the 1.8L driveshaft nuts/bolts on that setup, it's larger hardware vs the 1.6 :)

    @@jv6miata Technically the 1.6 bolts will fit but they are not the correct size, too small. There's no reason to reduce strength there when the 1.8 bolts will fit

    I had one of these come in where I worked at and it was leaking from the exhaust manifold, so weird how it’s on the same side as the intake

    That wire you unplugged from under the seat is most likely for the head rest speakers. The head rest area has a zipper to have access the speakers

    You should have the diff case arm welded so it doesnt break under power. There’s a notch in it that is meant to be the breaking point in an incident but have also broken under high power

    I let my brother borrow my miata when i bought my 350z and he blew the diff up drifting it through a run off drain on the turn onto his street. Never loaning him any of my rwd cars again haha

    Like Mathew said,the engine with the black valve cover is a jeep 4.0HO i6. Fairly bullet proof engines if taken care of and put together properly.

    I wouldn't go for a 6 speed with the 4.1 diff, it'll make the gearing WAY too short for the power. I have this setup on my N/A mx5 and it makes 1st gear short as. And makes highway cruising shit.

    I second this, and the 6 speed isn’t actually “stronger” as some folks claim. They’re both weak for anything over 300whp, especially being clutch kicked for drifting. Kmiata makes the bmw and getrag diff swap kits to the stock Miata bolt pattern, for a reason.

    Try a 4.3 diff. 😂 my 1st gear almost doesn't exist. Pretty peppy though.

    I’ve had bad experiences with Treasure Coast. I’ve ordered stuff on their website and selected ‘90-93 because I have a 1.6 and the parts I require are 1.6-specific, and on multiple occasions, they have sent me 1.8 parts. I’ve taken my business elsewhere to SNS Mazda Parts. Todd is a great dude and super helpful. Also ships extra cool goodies with your order. I got a Miata Hot Wheels once.

    This will save my life. My miata got hit 2 days ago on the front with a truck hitch. 01 bumper and hoods are a little hard to find. Treasure miata has all the parts I need. Will be calling them soon.

    KuRsAwow he said if he finds a 6 speed. I was referring to the posted video with him hoping to find one before the pressure plate shows up. I’d imagine he plans on turning it up like he said during the e85 dyno session.

    Biggest issue with the clutch that i see is you need to replace the disk as well, since its now been glazed over from slipping

    @Sammit did you try adjust the clutch pedal to fix the pressure plate problem? clutch pedal problems are a common issue on miatas!

    I put a rotrex supercharger on my 1.6 and I blew my diff up withing 50 miles. Lucky I found a whole torsen swap a couple weeks later

    Those motors are unkillable engines, loved by 90 jeep owners and with a low compression ratio love boost. I know guys running 20lbs through those motors making 450-500 hp and a shit ton of torque with just a cam and head

    Its a 4.0l L6 out of jeep Wrangler YJ , TJ. Cherokee XJ ZJ and WJ Create by AMC ( american motor company) The things is indestructable and its making great power

    Pre 96 jeep 4.0 quote high output but everyone knows the dual plain intake flows way better, post 97 4.0 makes more power bc of it

    Any ideas on posting a price list from what you spent on the giveaway Miata? Including the fails like the old CX racing turbo kit , up to the new Garret turbo & the BC suspension. I feel like the Miata had to have cost around $15000 for everything lol
