Foose Design | '62 Corvette C1 Build - Part 6 - Refining the Details
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Watch as Chip and the team at Foose Design continue work on the '62 Corvette project.
Part 6 in a series of updates!
In this episode, Chip and the team focus on the details. A-pillar trim and door tops are modified to keep a smooth seamless transition while the front fenders and fender trim are adjusted to eliminate a, from the factory, flat spot in the body. Front bumper fitment is checked with the new milled out brake ducts. The rear lower valance is shaped and a flanged edge is added for strength and to prepare for exhaust in the future.

I'm enjoying the way this series is produced. No "actors" goofing around and mugging for the camera, no made-up disasters and no blasting heavy metal rock music in the background. Just meticulous craftsmen doing what they do best!

I agree but not the view count I would expect.
Chip Foose and the crew he has working with him are perfectionist, very skilled Craftsmen with a sharp mind's eye. The true beauty of their rolling masterpieces is achieved by craftsmanship and the attention to the smallest of details. BEAUTIFUL CARS
This is how “Overhaulin” should have been. Love the inside look at all the little things. All of you guys are talented and it shows in the final product.
To see Chip and his gang work is amazing.
Just love to see those guys work ! And the Boss digs right in too. Salute. .
Another here waiting patiently in Oz! I have always admired Chips attention to detail. Really looking forward to seeing this. “Somebody over there please buy Chip a beer and give him a pat on the back from me.” Bring it on 😁👍👍
Amazing to see true artisans and craftsmen be on the same page to get a perfect result
Details, details, details. Super!
Is it really possible he is still getting better at this?? Absolutely stunning already!
Waiting from New Zealand
Chip, As stated below, this is the preferred format for an art show creating art. This is the best way for people to understand what you see and why. Just great. Thank you.
Foose, is the Grand Master Class! Love watching him. Always wanted to build my car from scratch , since I was a kid. Did about everything on one , tho. 55 , now... 6/8/68 . And, now ... "I CAN'T DRIVE 55"! LOL! How , can I get a license without a car!
I know I express the same sentiment but, I just absolutely love watching these masters at work! 💙💙💙
The legendary FOOSE. The Wizard .Love ya work my friend!
every vehicle Chip and his amazing team touch results in an absolute work of art, mechanics, science and incredible vision & imagination…truly a modern-day Michaelangelo!
I met you in 2011 at a military vehicle trade show in DC and I told you about the '73 Vega wagon I was working on. You were very gracious to me and even drew a sketch of my car depicting what it could look like when finished. As most DIY's I'm still working on it in between other projects, but I'll always remember meeting you. Thanks!
Love watching anything built at Chip’s shop. 👍👍
Amazing eye for detail chip 👍👍👍👍👍😎
Waiting From SUD of France
Being a builder of highly detailed scale replicas, which can take months, I'm astounded by the kindness and care placed into this (and all your work) project. Thank you very much for the huge amount of production value as well. I plan to add this idea in a future novel. God Bless.
Believe me Chip, no one would ever think that this car wasn’t “one off”.
Enjoyed..................... 👍👍👍
this is the kind of shop i want to work in one day. No loud music in the background. No constant bs with colleagues. Just men peacefully and quietly putting together good looking cars in a high quality shop environment.
My man & i said you are a great person😘 &.so blessed we injoy your work 🙌 to see what you put out .pick up & the smiles 😃 at the end of your show is the best thing you are A Blesseing to anyone's 🚗 LOVE YOUR STYLE GOD BE WITH YOU. FROM TEACUP.🍵
Chip Foose a man’s man!
Awesome format. No BS, just watching and learning from some experts at work.
Precision takes lots of hours !
My new favorite moment in foose clips is when he was shaped the piece of metal with a hammer then stepped back an dropped it on the floor an stood on it ! In a pervious clip. Has probably millions of dollars in tools an equipment an did that. Then smiles at the camera! Has to be awesome to work with an for .
Excellent, like the new format. Shows the creative eye Chip has, a long with uncompromising Craftsmen to execute the finish product. This is what I've been looking for. Thanks
As someone who builds cars as my "9-5" it is refreshing to see this. True craftsmanship and attention to detail. None of the BS Hollywood crap.
The little, but so critical, details are amazing to watch. "Maybe shave off a 32nd right here" And they see that tiny flaw. Damn.
I never was able to watch da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rembrandt or VanGogh paint a masterpiece but I do get to watch Chip design automotive works of art. Is there a difference?....if you love cars, I think not. I love this stuff! I'm sure Sam Foose is very proud of his son. Thanks Chip
Im happy to see some raw footage of how things go around the shop no Hollywood cut and edit. Great job Foose your the GOAT
Could watch Foose and his awesome team all day! Love these folks! 👍🏼
Wow - such attention to detail! 💪👍🏼
Soon it will "come alive". Awesome car- detailed to the max. Real proof of what you get when the last 195 needs 90% of the work. FR
The attention to detail is just fantastic to watch. What a beautiful car in the making...
There are NONE better than Mr. Foose, his hand picked team and Foose Designs.
It was cool to get a few shots of you at Detroit autorama recently... simply because you've inspired so many for a long period of time.. Thank you Sir !
As always, great job!
It’s all those details ! And most people have no idea . The amount of work and time and effort it takes !!! Amazing
You one blessed voto Chip! That's truly my favorite Vet since 69. Drove one in 93 for the 1st time. I was right, it's the best & You are too when it comes to designing and drawing them. BZ 👍I miss working in NASCAR where I got build on the cars.
I almost forgot this project. Thanks for the update.
Very peaceful watching that
Always good to see anything Foose
Thanks for sharing that beautiful car art that functions.
Can’t wait to see the finished car!
I’d wager a box of cigars the aerodynamic performance of his designs increases by 10%-20% in efficiency.
A masterpiece in the making, by master craftsmen.
attention to detail is everything. this cars going to be stunning
More Corvette videos please 🙏🙏🙏 Can't wait for the next one 😀😍
simply stated beautiful craftsmanship
Chip I deleted my previous post and I’m sorry for wasting your time back in 2014-15 with my c10 . Your the best in the industry .

Chip HANDS ON foose
1958 Corvettes have a reinforcement beam underneath the front fender. The beam bolted directly with the stainless fender spear using the tabs and speed nuts. Go to or search -> Corvette Central 58 TOP FENDER MOULDING REINFORCEMENT - PAIR ( GOOD IDEA TO USE ON 1959-1962 ALSO). Lists for $126.50. This should correct the fender sagging issue.
Top job as usual
The copper looks awesome
It’s all in the details.
Great job brock
Watching foose since 2000's . Its approx 23 years First on discovery channel then on discovery turbo Mad for its cars I hope once God give me money i will design my car by foose
Love it! Corvette club needs to do a tour visit. :)
Just a pillar sent me another level
Attention to detail. Just say Foose! 👍

Wow awesome it takes alot of time to do a work of rolling art 😀👍🏻, not like overhauling you used to do with a lot of guys working all night 👍🏻

They did in 7 days what most crews took months to do . An as a fan I was upset after finding that out because I actually thought they edited it too look like it was done in such a time. I am glad that when they did the season 3 that him an crew got their say in how long it took an etc.
Nothing to say ......actions speak louder than words .....💗
The Hair Man So Cool
Hard work but amazing end
Another classic bites the dust. Foose should not be let anywhere near a classic car.
Sou fã deste cara
I love-d UH'n...but this is for the die hard FooseFans. Thanks for the no network version.
I like it ☺️
Love your videos! Don't have one anymore, but I would love to see you trick out a Karmam Ghia! Put in a Porsche flat six with a 5 speed😜
And from Australia
That is going to be a true work of rolling art, just like all of your other creations are. I was wondering, are there any 60's-70's cars that you HAVEN'T done but would like to mod like this C1? How about something that you'd avoid like the plague?
Did I miss something? I thought Chip decided to fill the ducts in the front. Now they are back with handmade bezels. I love this series.
Please Chip, make a model of it if you're still doing it. Would be one of the first in line.
🔥🔥🔥👌🏿
Wow!!! I am shocked watching this video of Chip " Mr" Foose . He was such a good designer and had a top notch crew. But watching this Beautiful " vette" being done in a George Barris way of design and craftsmanship is very hard to see. Chip needs to visit some modern shops and see how far we have come since his hay days. I hope this vetted is a shop car and not a poor customer. If so 25k should be the max.

The corvette is astonishing, amazing work. But what was that low and widened ? Mustang in the other shop ! That looks absolutely crazy and in a good way
Would love to have Chip and his team work on my 2000 triple black 6 spd convertible. Dear Lottery
I enjoyed watching. Attention to detail. Thank you for sharing.
I can't believe this is a youtube channel of a "Living Legend". PLEASE!! Hire a professional social media agency asap.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Are you doing the big brake option with the tusks in the fenders feeding through the rockers to the rear?
5 months since "New" videos saw an update, Chip. Can we get some love soon? 😥
Chip love the videos, but could you please do a drawing tutorial video? your drawings are as impressive as your builds are, and maybe some back story how you started and developed your drawing skills, keep the videos coming
3:02 front headlights and bottom piece look like a drunk robot
👍
This is the only guy I take seriously when he says ...1 off
The only way to do bondo work is to lay down a thick coat on your 1st coat and begin cutting it down when it cures to like a hard rubber. If you wait til it rocks up, you’ll be there all day sanding autobody filler. Bondo work is the only thing I’m fast at in the repair part of restoring a vehicle.
That building must have been an old 3M facility at one time. Snicker.
Is this Corvette finished? I would like to see the finished car. Great video.
I would love to see Chip converting some of the classic cars into Electric. That way the car will have to same look but the real challenge would be no noise inside
Chip, I would love to know if you have ever achieved perfection in any of your masterpiece’s, or if you had to decide “enough is enough, that will have to do”? (to most of us, they are all perfect)
