a "but lazier" series is unironically extremely good content, please do it
@FrenchDebuff

but what does he mean by "lazier"? the thing i miss about Josh is that he used to make recipes that the average person can make at home, now it feels too complicated most of the time. If "but lazier" means "good recipes you can make quickly on a week night" then yeah im all for it

Yeah, please do that. Every recipe requires 10 bowls, a blender and standmixer, a dutch oven, kitchenAid and ingredients you never ever have at home. Who buys this stuff just to cook with it once. Just substitute, mix in maybe 2 bowls and whack it in a pan.

I really like how you show the reality of certain cooking techniques at home, e.g. eyeballing all your spices and pouring them straight from the containers rather than putting them all into 8 million bowls, as well as the fact you don't gloss up your food with lights/colors and show what it actually looks like throughout the whole process. Nice job team.

A “key bump” of baking soda is cooking measurements I can, finally, easily relate too.
I used to to live in Korea and my family usually never eats out or orders in as we always make food at home, but we had korean fried chicken every other week whether from BHC or Chicken and Beer or at random restaurants. It was always consitently good. I've tried it in the states and in germany made by koreans and it doesn't taste the same its always too sweet, which could be down to them adjusting for the general Palate of us westerners. Very suprised you actually followed the recipe for the whole cup of sugar.
That looked legit good, nice going.
I like that you legitimately explain what things are. The buttermilk for example. Good job A+

No.. originaly, butter milk - is a by-product of beating hell out of milk into a butter. You need to pound it real hard and for a lot of time. The liquid seperated from this is called buttermilk. A by product of turning milk into butter. And it's the best :)
