There's no question that the corona cuts superior to the fiskars in this example. Experience is the best teacher in this reviewer has done a good job. Shape of the blade makes the difference. We have not looked closely enough at the teeth to see the size shape and number of them per inch to determine if they are the same type of or similar type of blade. We also do not know what type of blade steel or finish has been used by the manufacturer, because as any metallurgist will tell you there are a vast differences in the quality of the steel and how it functions on a particular application. Thank you for this review, it was simple but effective.

That's the same way I feel about my Corona. I bought one a couple of years ago. I liked it so much that I requested it of my daughter for father's day. Now I have a good folder anywhere I go, at home and in my trunk. Dave Canterbury reviewed it and something else and what ever that saw was... was better. For me, the price and the quality of the Corona is what I like. Thanks!

Good video. I have been a landscaper basically all my life and you are correct in your assessment that corona's are a better saw. I have purchased every fiskar product there is at one point or another and besides the gear drive loppers everything is basically garbage.

Those loppers do some damage. Only thing I don't Like about them is how they open. The one handle stay straight and the other one opens. But just takes some getting used to. I have em and love em they cut through everything

Thank you for the comparison, I went to my local Lows here in chicago and of course when I asked about the corona folding saw they just like to look at me like a math problem and then point to a wall in the back, well all they had was the fiskars folding saw and I needed a replacement for my colman folding saw and I bought the fiskers saw, I haven't used it yet, but I will say the spine of the fiskars saw is twice as thick as the colmans. when I would cut with the colman saw it would at times bend like rubber, so I have high hopes for this fiskars saw. again thanks for the comparison, now I feel I haven't wasted my money.

The corona seems to just go through that wood like butter. That curved blade is real nice, too. My folding saw has some exposed teeth as well, it seems to happen with a lot of them. Just need a good sheath, I suppose. Great comparison!!!

I have the same corona and a bahco laplander and if I'm cutting straight through I use the corona because of the curved blade always grabbing a new bite without having to adjust the saw, but I use the bahco for when I'm crafting and want notch cuts cause they need to be straight and the corona won't do straight bottomed cuts cause it's curved

Really surprised by this, having a Fiskars and noticing how well mine did and sharp it was. But, I did notice, how when I tried to saw some bed-wood(once a part of a bed designed to hold people up), that it took some time to saw through it.

Project Farm just did a video on these saws. Not including the Fiskars. The Corona came out number 1. I got the Corona yesterday, but dont hear good things about how they treat people during warranty. I also read the Corona Warranty and saw the same verbiage in the warranty language that was used on the people calling. If you call after the first year, they say it should have failed by now and that anything after that has to be from abuse. With Fiskars great warranty (maybe the best in the industry), I wanted to find a video about this comparable saw. I couldn't believe I not only found one, but that its against the the Corona! I figure at the price point they are now, I'll just have to replace it, if it goes bad or breaks. It does look like you may have an American made one. I bought mine because I read they plated them to resist corrosion. Mine came oiled and does not appear to be plated. I guess we'll see for sure in time. Glad I found this. Really helped.

I already have two seven inch saws and they do the job fairly well. It's probably a tough call, but I think I would trust Fiskars steel to stay sharp longer. I've always been impressed with their steel quality. Corona is impressive, though, and I'm sure would be a good buy. They all come in handy and do the job well. I wish I would have gotten a 10 inch blade, but it doesn't reallly justify buying another saw.

I did a follow up video using a brand new fiskars, and a new Corona. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ga12pK6unNWenrA.html After owning these saws for a couple years, it’s still Corona all the way. My original Corona that has been used, and abused still drastically outperforms the nearly new fiskars that sits on a shelf. I’ve been wanting to add a 7” Corona to one of my hunting bags. The smaller size would be handy to have.
