In 2009, Mactan airport was a dump. Very little retail and food. Dark and dreary place. Now you have another terminal just for international flights, its great.

Things started looking good in 2011. In 2018, even way before the new international terminal was inaugurated , it has changed a lot since 2011.

6:04 I also use Google Maps when riding taxis in Cebu. Saved me a lot of taxi fare.

I ll be in Philippines very soon. Hope to see you this time reekay. Mactan changed a lot since last year even. I gave a question. When you booked your ticket, return ticket it should be for next month or can book return ticket even for 6 months later after arrival? Worry about immigration if they complain why I booked for next 6 monthscehile they give first vis for 29 days.

It does not have to be a return ticket to your home country. It only needs to be an onward ticket that leaves the Philippines within 30 days of your arrival.

How much was the taxi for a 15 minute ride? Did he use the meter or did you have to negotiate a price?

about 140pesos. i gave him an extra 20p for handling my luggage.

no, i landed at cebu and she was in davao, so i flew to her and she met me at our airbnb along with her parents.

the antigen test is only needed for entering the PH. so I did that within less than 24 hours prior to my flight out of calif. once in the PH, domestic flights stopped any covid requirements (other than a mask), last year.
