Check out Cebu Business Park, I.T. Park, Temple of Leah, Edge coaster at the top of a 36th floor building. Aside from waterfalls, beaches, etc, Cebu is known for modern beach hotel resorts, Sinulog- the biggest and grandest street festival in the country, first catholicism in the country, oldest city, etc..

"you're welcome" and "i'm good" are usual responses that are often familiar with random people living in the west when asked by the person next to him. In the Philippines, some Filipinos may not be used to these pleasantries but will respond with a nod, a gesture, "i'm fine", or any other positive sign or body language acknowledging the greeting. it' all a matter of familiarity with the spoken language and it's nuances, so I trust you don't take it against Filipinos if anyone else fails to respond in real quick time to such usual greeting.

Next place to go is the Panglao Island in Bohol. From Cebu City it is about 2 hours on a fast boat. Take the airconditioned seats instead of the open air seating on top of the boat but it is very noisy and windy. The air conditioned seats cost about 500 pesos, it is 50 pesos more expensive but more comfortable, less sea sick because you are lower in the boat.
