Thank you! It is so fun to see a newbie react to Dimash!:D This is from 2017, a Chinese show called 'I Am Singer'. It is a show that features seasoned Chinese singers in a competition. They invited Dimash (who is from Kazakhstan) to be on the show as a 'wild card' contestant. This was the 1st performance of the season! This made Dimash world wide famous, and he got his fan base called 'Dears'. He will be 30 yrs. old in May 2024. He has 7+ octaves and sings in 14+ languages, and multiple genres. He was asked to join the Astana opera but declined. He calls his singing style 'neoclassical'. This is just the tiny tip of the iceberg that is Dimash. He is highly trained and has been studying and performing music since he was 3 years old. He sings constantly and practices no less than 3 hrs every day. He is continuing his studies and always works with a vocal coach. Please check out more Dimash and know that every song will bring goosebumps and tears. You will be amazed and surprised over and over with each performance. Dimash IS music. Dimash is the best singer/vocalist in the world.

@@MatthewrentsBeing Dimash's follower for 7 years, I am actually grateful for these type of comments. Most often, reactors don't really get to know most about Dimash if not because of these type of comments. I know it seem a little bit too much but probably because Dimash is not a mainstream artist and he don't really have much publicity, almost everything about him were put out by fans/fan clubs, especially in the begining of 2017. Most of these things about him were gathered from every interviews of him, his family members and those who knows him and little details that the Dears gathered over the years. Over the years, I have noticed that many reactors have very little information about Dimash unless they join any of his fanclubs. For instance, with the amount of times Dimash mentions his siblings or the people who works behind him and his effort to always put their names forward, most people still have no idea. I mean, I get why some Dears gets very excited to advertise about Dimash to reactors. I am used to this because I've read all these comments from 2017. They feel the need to do it because they feel that Dimash needs to be given as much exposure as possible. You know, I sometimes dont why Dimash dont get much exposure. I know in the last few years after 2017, he didn't have a publicist and his fame was completely relied on his fans trying to introduce him to reactors. I dont know if he now has a publicist or agents to do this stuff but what I am getting is that, the Dears and his fanclubs still do much of the works. Like for instance, if I am not in his fanclub, I realised that I wouldn't know about his upcoming concerts if the fans dont post this information on social media. I think this is why Dimash always talks about his fans and the works they did for him by spreading as much information as possible. That is why his team didn't expect to have the kind of fame and exposure that he has now from the begining and his parents who manages him, acknowledged this. I suspect you already know these things so I wont go on and on lol. Sorry for the long comment.

Welcome to the world of Dimash! Dimash is the greatest vocalist known to mankind! He is proudly from Kazakhstan! He has an 8 octive range, has been known to sing in 13 different languages. He speaks 5 languages and plays 5 different instruments. He was a child prodigy that proclaimed to his parents (which are also singers) he was going to be a singer at the age of 4. He has been training since the age of 5. He has his Associates, Masters, Bachelors, and now his Doctorin in contemporary and Opera music. He is a MASTER in his craft. He has a very loyal following of his fans around the world! He calls his fans his "Dears". I feel so honored to live in the same time as Dimash. All of his performances are astounding!! Please go to his KZread channel Dimash Qudaibergen and watch everything he has done! He also has Pop music videos in English on his Channel. It's his world...we just live in it!❤

"This shouldn't be possible" Well it isn't. Only Dimash can do it, he goes from bass baritone to soprano whistle 7 octaves. In fact "Live" in concert he has hit a D8 whistle note which is not only higher than any Mariah Carey note but it's so high it isn't on the piano. Dimash sings in 15 different languages in just about every musical style from opera to rap. Both technically and artistically he is in a class of his own. People fly in from all over the world to see his concerts, and every time he arrives at an airport anywhere in the world "Dears" (fans) present him with flowers.

Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018, "Stranger" 2021,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) KZread channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. Each performance will leave you stunned. Thank you for reacting to our Dimash from a loyal "Dear" (fandom name given to us by Dimash, because we are dear to him like his family). He has fan clubs in 132 countries. BTW....this was 7 years ago, since then, his deeper register has become much lower, he can sing bass.

She says he almost sings in whistle tones and Dimash says, "Hold my beer..." (except he doesn't drink - see Unfrogettable Day, Gakku perfomace). So that was 2017. Since then Dimash has done his neo-classical pop, jazz riffing, rap, screaming heavy metal rock, creative videos, mini-movies, concerts and the latest - a pure classical opera duet with Placido Domingo, The Pearl Fisherman's Duet. Oh yes he plays multple instruments and dances pretty well too. When he's not modeling because he's so absolutlely gorgeous. And he's also generous, humble, kind and is devoted to world peace. Sigh. Welcome to DimashWorld.

Dimash Qudaibergern was born May 24th, 1994. He was age 22 in this video now nearing 30. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. In the above video we was in a sing off competition in China. He did not win the competition because he is not Chinese. His current vocal range is over 7 octaves. He began his classical vocal and instrumental training at age five. His youth education was in Kazakhstan's most prestigious music schools though finances were tight. He has three degrees in music including a PhD. He also moved to L.A. to study Film Directing at the L.A. campus of the N.Y. School of Fine Arts. He is currently considered the greatest vocalist in the world. He often produces, directs and films his videos. He performs huge, sold out arena's for his concerts. He is almost constantly in the air, jetting from one country to another and in his younger years, was the official representative between Kazakhstan and China. Dimash is 6'3" tall. Eurasian DNA. So far, he will not hire or allow a famous producer to work with him. He is highly opinionated and will not allow others to tell him how to do anything. His father (Kanat) and his mother (Sveta) are the closest thing to managers when a concert is being planned. He has also trained in contemporary/pop singing and most often, you will hear him popping in and out of those genera's in one song. His last video was with Placido Dimingo on Virtuosos. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lo2hp8Wkes2eo84.html This is very recent and filmed just days before Maestro Domingo turned 83.

Abraços do Brasil!

👉 This was a historic moment and is Dimash’s calling card. That is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears (That is what Dimash calls us fans.) The best comment from a Dear under the first video: „If you are having a bad day, remember, someone had to sing after him.“ 🤣 That one moment when a vlogger first hear Dimash and is instantly mesmerized by it... priceless and beautiful to watch. I love it! This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer). The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). Music: Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon (French original text). The English adaptation is by Tim Rice. That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to KZread ... and so we became Dimash's Dears. The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won). * Original: Daniel Balavoine - SOS d'un terrien en détresse (Starmania) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/a5-O16ahpbfRqKg.html * Dimash - The Singer 2017 - behind the scenes (English subtitiles) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/imVosbmag9Pfm5s.html (Thanks to all Dears who helped to complete the information)

Thank you for reacting to Dimash. He is the greatest. If you listen to “Stranger” or his duet with Zhang Yingxi in “Thousand miles” you’ll hear his lower register. It’s so rich and beautiful (his lower register😂) But any performance that you choose will be amazing and incredible. You just opened a wonderful new world.

Question: What is the highest note for a flute. Dimash was trained in opera. Even received an offer from a major company. He turned it down. He refuses to sign with any company. He doesn't want anyone dictating what he does. For future reference:Any reaction that you choose from The Singer with Dimash, always use the Full Version. English subtitles are included and also gives a variety of information on Dimash. Looking forward to more Dimash.

When teaching flute to young students, we teach them up to C7. Professionals usually learn up to D7. We can however play up to F7 for fun but only in a short burst. Usually after D7 we would use piccolo to reach even higher pitches since piccolo sounds and octave higher than flute.

💕💕💕🌷🌷🌷👍👍👍👏👏👏 Thank you for your great reaction and comments! Believe or not, this song, though impressive, has reached neither Dimash’s highest note not his lowest by far. Since you love pop/ opera combinations then you have just met the king of genre amalgamation. You can see more combos in Dimash’s Stranger; Be with Me (the MV); Sinful Passion; Drunken Concubine + Diva Dance (the song by the blue alien in The Fifth Element); Dudarai (on cctv1); And so much more. This song (SOS d’un terrien en détresse) comes from the 1978 French Canadian rock opera Starmania, though of course, Dimash stretched its range even further. Looking forward to more of your Dimash reaction!

Watch "Stranger (new wave 2021)". Sung live in English, it is mind blowing to say the least. His highs & lows plus the show stopping ending are unreal. Plus a traditional Kazak Stringed instrument from the 9th century called a Kobyz (I believe) is played during the performance. Dimash is a once in a lifetime/generation singer.

@@Yeah_thatsright 2018, I think. Dimash had been appearing in my KZread feed for a year or more. I wasn't particularly interested - some Asian guy with a mic. How many of those are clamoring for attention? Who knows. On an evening when I was feeling slightly curious, I clicked. Oh, okay, he sings like a girl. I nearly clicked away... And could not. He kept doing things I had never before heard, with otherworldly control, precision and beauty. He's a countertenor. But not just any countertenor. I did some research, even using my way-back machine to sample castrato countertenors. This is what I discovered: the most famous and celebrated countertenors in history rarely ventured above the 5th octave. And they were trash compared to Dimash. Trash. He's the best countertenor the world has ever heard. But that isn't all. He's an elite tenor and - unbelievably - a very competent baritone. *Very* competent. He has the same level of control and precision in those registers. For the record, yes, he can include whistle notes in his performances. I am a fan of this guy. We've never experienced anything like him. Dive in. The waters are warm and friendly! Try 'Love Is Like a Dream' and see if it doesn't paste a big smile on your face.

Congratulations, you have been Dimashified !!! This was from a Chinnese song contest titled "The Singer". It was his first performance and everyone's mind in the audience was melted. SOS is part of the French/Canadian musical/rock opera Starmania. The hero finds his girlfriend dead and sings this song over her dead body. The last words are a goodbye cry: 'Sleep now baby, sleep...'. What you witnessed is just the tip of the iceberg! You will see that Dimash IS the best singer/performer in this universe !!! Every one of his songs is unique and will leave you speachless... You have to also react to Stranger, Opera 2, Daybreak (Bastau version), Adagio (Singer version), Sinful Passion, Vocalize (and then Know), El Amor en ti, Ikanaide, Ogni Pietra, Ave Maria, Across Endless Dimensions, Love is Like a Dream and of course The Diva Dance (Bastau version). If you want to listen to someone that sings beyond the piano notes, try Unforgettable Day (Gakku version). If you like mainstream, try Fly Away, Be With Me and Screaming... And finaly, if you want to be filled with emotions and to have a lifetime's experience, try his last song/mini movie "The Story of One Sky", but be prepared... Welcome to the rabbithole...

This seems like a matter of taste, but with him it’s the sheer amount of singing techniques and control over his voice and his breath and his skills as a composer and instrumentalist that make him the best. He knows how to use his skills the best way to create wonderful pieces of art. ❤🥰

This song is a pearl of the French songbook: It is a French-Canadian cyberpunk-rock opera called “Starmania”, written in 1976 by Michel Berger (France) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine, Diane Dufresne and Gregory Lemarchal. The theme of the song is depression: In the 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholy interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song, which serves to show the psychological instability of the afflicted character: From the chest voice to the head voice and then to falsetto, the author sought to show a broad need to overcome a moment of despair and the pretense of accepting to reach a higher perspective! Dimash, currently at his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who have departed this world!
