If some of the artistic choices he made in this song aren't to your taste, just listen to one of the other versions.... or all of them. His ornamentation and some of the musical phrasing has changed through the years. The version that made him famous was from 2017, at the Chinese invitation only, competition for professional singers, Singer. Or listen to the 2017 version, and then the newest one, the MTV version recently released (it's still a live performance). Pick and choose... we all have our favorites. Just guessing, but he probably sings them slightly differently when he's doing only one song that night, as he did in Singer, or when he's doing a full 3-hour concert. Or maybe it's just his mood that day. Oh - and yes, he has a masters in classical vocals (as well as one in contemporary vocals and a third in composition. He's now working on his doctorate in composition.) He was offered an opera position, but declined. He sees his career direction as neoclassical/pop crossover. He's so impressive that the much-admired composer/pianist Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to work with him. Enjoy your journey down the Dimash rabbit-hole; I've been obsessing for a few months now, and haven't heard a bad performance yet. Some styles that are less to my taste, yes; but never a bad performance.

Кем-то официально установлено? Нет и не может. Могут зафиксировать самый высокий или низкий голос - объективные характеристики, что можно зафиксировать приборами. А лучший голос - понятие чисто субъективное. Так что не вводите людей в заблуждение.

I don't think this was the first time she heard the song, because she knew Dimash was going to lower his voice when she stopped the tape. Reactors who listen to S.O.S. the first time are always startled by the sudden drop in register.

Greetings Serene from Australia, welcome to the world of Dimash. No offence but when you've got 21years of been classically and contemporary trained, then you've got Dimash. He has been defined as the best singer in the world, he has a 6/7 octave range it's even been mentioned maybe 8 octaves. Apart from the fact that he is very humble, he also treats his dears kindly and with respect. I think he sings in 12 different languages, and plays 12 different instruments. He's a composer and producer, singer songwriter. His stage presence is commanding and magical, even if you don't know what he's saying you can feel it.
