its funny because I JUST told a friend today that I was so jealous of them when she said she had never heard of Dimash before and she was about to watch him sing SOS. perhaps I was a little over dramatic ("YOUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!!!!" lol) but she definitely had that mind blown look when she was done and that fresh hunger to hear more like we all did.

Yep, that's why everyone loves watching reactions to it. It's the next best thing. I've watched like 20 first reactions to SOS. The more intense and genuine the reaction the better. This one is fantastic.

He is one, perhaps the most technically gifted singer alive today.

@@JiraiyaTheGallant44 I'm glad to see someone mention Mike Patton. He kind of fell off everyone's radar. Dimash and Mike both have FULL control of their registers and their capable octaves. They're most impressive because they cover a full gamut of frequencies. Not just mid to high, or mid to low. They can go to the lows and highs all in one breath.

I'd be embarrassed to even estimate how many Dimash reaction videos I've watched in the past month or so. I keep coming back to this one. It's my absolute favourite. I'm sad you never made any more. I'd have loved to have seen how you reacted to Opera 2, Diva Dance, Sinful Passion and Ogni Pietra.

​@@ntuniversal see how in the beginning she switched from the right ear to the left ear, that''s because the right ear is more efficient in hearing a speech or the beat of the song, whereas the left ear she switched to is more for hearing the vocals and feeling the voice...all i know is she definitely is a pro, and she obviously listened to the song with one ear for a reason

If you continue to watch Dimash, you'll be in a ride of your life. This is the only the tip of the iceberg of Dimash's vocal abilities.

First of all, thank you very much for reacting to Dimash....I'll share with you some info about him and some links for you to react more to his performances...--(BTW, He is going to give his Solo concert for the First time in America Its going to be in NY the next December 10th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn) If you can go...don't miss this one in a lifetime opportunity!!) ---Now, about him: Dimash Kudaibergen is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Kazakhstan and aged 25. He is university trained in classical as well as in contemporary music and is known for his wide vocal range of 6 octaves, from D2 to D8 (and 6 octaves and 5 semitones, from A1 to D8, with vocal fry). This spans from the bottom of the bass range beyond the top of the soprano range. Kudaibergen has performed songs in twelve different languages, his native language Kazakh, but he has performed in Russian, Mandarin, English, French, Italian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Serbian, Kyrgyz, German, and Spanish. Dimash's voice is like a finely tuned instrument. He posses multiple voice types :bass, baritone, tenor, countertenor and soprano. His vocal pallette is almost unheard for a male singer. His whistle register goes up to G#7 before China Singing Competition, but on the 16 September, he broke his personal highest note with a whistle register, D8 at Gakku Music Festival Almaty, Kazakhstan. The D8 note (4500-4800hz) which is 6 keys higher than G#7 and 2 keys surpassed the 88 piano C8. The whistle (C8-D8) with vibrato (5 sec). He attended (invited by organizer as foreign special guest ) the China Singing Competition "I'm a Singer 2017". This is not only a class in vocal dynamics, it's a class related to the electro-dynamics of the soul of every man, woman and child on this planet. Why are we being electrified? Millions of people are feeling this 'sound vibration' emanating from this being. The word "thrill" has meaning. Electro - dynamic power... is (obviously) underfoot and needs to be understood a lot more. Wow! The world can't help falling on its keens before him. We'll see.

How could you be able to enjoy watching this magnificent voice when you keep pausing it every 5 seconds? It's like a pausing a great movie a million times.

It's always fun watching someone, especially a person with a musical background experience Dimash for the first time. This performance was from the Chinese contest The Singer-2017 and was only for established professional singers. Dimash was brought the competition as a wild card and nobody in the competition or audience know who he was. He was the youngest person in the competition at 22 years old and as the wildcard, Dimash was chosen to be the very first performer. So the reaction of the crowd was to a singer they had never heard of, and as you can see, he captured their hearts. Oh, and be ready for the rush of Dimash "Dears" stopping by to watch this and future dimash reaction videos!

the reaction of the other performers in the 'green room' is very educational... they're utterly astonished. Worse... someone has to go on-stage next!!

He has been training since he was five, classically trained. His mother is a professional opera singer and father teaches music. Dimash has a Master’s in voice and will soon begin his PhD. He appears small but he is actually 6’3””. Great performer as well.

You've gotta see him live, I've been to a few of his concerts and its an out of this world experience every time

The interesting thing is . . . you understand his capabilities from a technical standpoint. But, I promise you, each and every performance you see will still blow your mind. He brings something new and unexpected (and gloriously beautiful) to every song he sings. It's always stunning and mind blowing and completely different from anything you've heard before -- and, it's always Dimash.

But if you're a vocalist or musician looking to intently study Dimash & his technique, his face, throat, hand gestures throughout the performance, it's one of the best videos. Also, because the sound is a bit muddy, you don't hear the high frequencies well at all in the fancam - but his bass vocal notes sound massive and booming, quite impressive! For my part, I like to check out different versions for different perspectives.

Let me give you a secret about Dimash, not only is he genetically inclined, and trained from a very young age, he has a physical defect that helps him and explains his absolute phenomenal talent. His vocal folds are larger than normal. Thats the secret among the other things. This guy was literally born to sing at the upper echelon of vocalist in history. ❤️

Hello this was my first time seeing your channel; Dimash isn’t human but an alien from some distance galaxy or maybe an Angel send from the heavens to sing to us mortals lol ;you such had a taste of this man is capable of doing,here a bit a about him and show he was on. Dimash kudaibergen is only 25 years old and has been studying music since the age of 5,he has a master in music in Classical and Contemporary, both of his parents are famous singers from his home country of Kazakhstan ( a country in Asia the used to part of Russia),his incredible range consists of 6 Octaves and 5 semi tones,including vocal fry A1- D8; he sings in 12 languages his native language Kazakh,Russian,Mandarin,English, French,Italian,Ukrainian, Turkish, Serbian, Kyrgyz, German, and Spanish.He is also a multi-instrumentalists and song writter he loves mixing styles of different genres Opera,POP,Rock,Rap to create amazing songs and jaw dropping Performances,He always gives his heart and soul in every performance,you may assume that since you have heard him sing he can’t suprised you but you’ll be wrong in every single performance is unique,he’ll always does something new , a crazy tone or style you haven’t heard before and he loves improving on his performances for example on this beautiful French song SOS there is a better version of this perfection ,he perform it at Russia Slavic Baazar a live performance in 2018.Dimash’s personality complements his skill,he is a very humble person,cares about his fans,his family and friends,gives back to elderly and children. Earlier this year he participated in his first talent show in the US “The World’s Best”,he accepted the invitation because he was told that he wouldn’t compete against children,he advanced in show to the semifinals and would had won the show but he had to compete again two beautiful young children ,he politely thanks the judges and asked to them let the children pass and withdrew from the competition forfeit the one million dollar prize. He wanted the children to have the opportunity,he didn’t care about the prize money or recognition the title would had given him, one of children became the winner of the Show;by the way don’t react to those performances as they cut to much of his songs. Now on the show you such saw him perform is called The Singer or I’m Singer is a Chinese show but not your typical talent show,first they have a huge budget always live music all the singers are known famous singers most from China. Dimash was unknown in China and was invited as a wildcard in beginning of the video you see people cheering and clapping they were not doing that for Dimash but because they were excited that the show has started they had no idea what they were about to experience you can see the audience reaction. The beauty of Dimash's voice in both the low register and his falsetto range and control are stunning. You can hear that he never strains but rather relaxes into the notes. A remarkable gift.

“Raving like a lunatic” was a perfect description of the way I felt the first time I heard Dimash. This was a fabulous review. I would also recommend “sinful passions”.

Catherine... we're there for you. This video was, pretty much, the whole world's first exposure to Dimash. The audience members had never heard of him before, he was brought into China as a wild card from Kazhakstan. The other singers who he competed against, all of which were seasoned prefessionals (this contest is all about pitting the audience's favorite national singers against each other and voting for a winner) you can see were absolutely blown away at THEIR first exposure to him. In short, the day Dimash walked onto this stage... the world trembled. Also, if you love ethereal, 'Love is Like a Dream' will need to be reacted to eventually. Finally, don't you love how he leaned into, and then trailed away from, that last note?

@@sammiecchana Hi, Hana. No, he did not win. He came in second. Pretty admirable considering he was the only non-Chinese singer in the competion, and the only singer who the most of the audience had never heard of before his 'SOS' performance. Another reason he didn't win is because only the final two rounds of the competion determined the ultimate winner, and one of these two competitions pushed Dimash into singing a genre of song that was not his strength. Finally, since many of the audience member came to this show to watch their favorite performers compete, and to vote for them to suceed, Dimash was at no small disadvantage when it came down to the end. Dimash did come in first in the voting for at least five of the thirteen songs he sang during the competition (including 'SOS'), which is a pretty strong percentage, if you think about it.

SOS is the perfect introduction to Dimash, but he still has a lot to surprise you with. As an amateur singer and musician, and having seen most of Dimash's performances, I would highly recommend your second reaction of him to be "Sinful Passion". It's a wonderful song, and you will literally be blown away by his alien performance. People usually request reactions to his latest performances, because they are more recent, but I do believe "Sinful Passion" encapsulates many interesting elements for a voice teacher and deserves to be one of the first performances of Dimash you will be introduced to.

Listening to Dimash is a whole body mind spirit experience. He has the ability to draw you up into the music and fly with him in the story he is singing. It feels like a flight into a higher realm. Goosebumps every time he gets into a fuller resonance. Its lovely being in that world for a while, lifted and lighter afterward.

I have a friend who is totally deaf since birth. He is tickled by watching people watch/ listen to Dimash sing. He said, " I've spent my whole life watching people doing that singing thing."( He describes singing to him as silly looking as to him it's just someone bopping around with their mouths open for a few minutes) "It's like people are hearing something so confusing." I answered that it is confusing! Us hearing folks haven't heard this before. Very interesting conversation with someone who's never heard anything know Dimash is special. That he sings Diva Dance "The unsingable song" is so fitting. I absolutely love the words to this song in particular. Great reaction lol 😂 The screen memos had me loling
